We called him late in afternoon and he was able to accommodate him the same day. Awesome old school barber shop with all the great amenities that come with it. Frank is a master barber that wants to make sure you look and feel good. He even called us the next morning to make sure we liked and ask if there's anything need to improve for next time. When he is taking care of a customer he has his whole focus on his customer. This is something you will appreciate when you're the customer. As a one-man operation, that means he doesn't answer the phone when cutting hair. So if you call and he doesn't answer, that means he's taking care of a customer. Go ahead and leave a message. He's extremely prompt returning your call when he's done. He's meticulous and professional. He's a Master Barber because he's earned it. As an aside, he takes care of disadvantaged veterans by using any tip money he's given. He's the genuine article. I give him my highest recommendation.

I arrived on time and Siam was ready to roll. Siam is somewhat of an enigma in the world of hair stylists I have known: He honestly tells you how you need your hair cut to look fantastic. Spending a couple of weeks in Ruidoso in our motorhome and I was in need of a haircut. Some…read morefriends of ours have been here over a month, so I asked him where he gets his haircut. He looked at me and said "do not go where I did, they totally butchered me." While driving through town, I noticed a small building with the sign "Barber". I went in and found the TV playing "Rawhide" reruns. A few minutes later, Ronnie, the owner, walks in and we get started. I was happy with my haircut and gave him 15 bucks for the $12.00 haircut. He's been there for 25 or 30 years. If you are visiting Ruidoso and need a haircut, give Ronnie a visit. Nice, personable guy and a good barber. It's a true, old fashioned barbershop.
