Taco truck Tortilla…read moretasted real and the maíz was so authentic in taste. This place is a MUST try! I actually found it on yelp and then looked them up on Facebook. I am in Eagle pass for an overnight work trip and I try to eat local often. Last time I was in Eagle pass I tried a different delicious Mexican restaurant, but this one takes that ranking. It seems like a mom and pop shop. With two guys working the truck and a little girl (who I assume is the daughter of one of the men) sitting, enjoying life, watching videos. That made me feel welcomed really. To know that I am eating at a place that helps a local family and their local business. But, the cherry on top was the delicious, authentic, impressive (from a food truck!), and passionate food that they served me. I will say there isn't a lot of room to eat there. With there only being one table, but regardless even if you take it home. It will still taste fresh. Here's what I ordered: - Tacos Asada Maíz with grilled onions only: $9. - Regular Quesadilla Asada Harina: $6.50 - Cheese fries: $6.50 - 2 canned sodas: $1.50 EACH. TOTAL COST: $25.97 (Wish it would have prompted me to leave a tip on the POS, but it did not.) Reviews of each items down below: Tacos- asada meat is very nice and juicy not dried out like most food trucks I've tried. The sautéed onions are a good consistency. The team other is actually perfect even for me driving around a while. Cheese fries- the fries are actually cooked really well and that makes them a good consistency when the cheese is sitting on them. They are not soggy like normal cheese fries and still have a good hot crunch to them!! The cheese sauce is actually the one I like the most. I don't know the name or brand, but every time I try this cheese sauce I know it's the best one. Because it isn't spicy at all. It tastes like cheese and it's so rich and nice. Quesadilla- the quesadilla was really good. Good temperature stayed hot while I drove. The only thing I didn't like was the cheese selection. I am not sure what kind of cheese it was, but it wasn't really that gooey melted cheese that I normally get in a quesadilla even the ones from Mexico. But I really liked the overall flavor of the other quesadilla aspect. My ranking of my items would be: 1st choice- Asada Tacos: overall a good selection. What made me make this my number one pick was that I am very plain when it comes to my tacos. I don't like cilantro, lime, salsa, nothing really. So, I always get super dry meat and tortillas since there isn't that moisture from the other products. This asada taco were moist, warm, and so delicious. I didn't feel like I was eating jerky. 2nd Choice- Cheese Fries: These cheese fries when I tell you were like a great texture, but kept their crispness even being drenched in cheese sauce. That made everything so much better as it was just cheese and soggy fries. 3rd choice- Asada Quesadilla: The overall product was good. The downfall that made me choose it as my third choice was the cheese selection. I wasn't a fan of that, but I think I would try it again and ask if I can sub the cheese with a different kind. Go and try this place. You won't regret it.

This is my favorite food truck in eagle pass I completely recommend!! I've ordered most of what…read morethey have on their menu too including the burritos and tostadas and nothing ever disappoints!! Service is always friendly too!

I feel that it is my job to know exactly where the best tacos are located in all of the cities in South Texas. That being said I looked up a few places online in Eagle pass, Texas and then I really deep dived. This restaurant was hidden amongst the MANY MANY options. Only having 14 reviews on yelp I said let me give it a try. I get there parking lot is empty and it's actually a bit confusing how to park. I finally decided to make up the parking myself and parked my car. Walked inside and was greeted by a friendly waitress. Only about three people working there. Dining room was empty. I will say it was around 7:00AM when I walked in on a Monday so I didn't expect no one to be there. That concerned me a little. However, I was given the menu it was all in Spanish. Luckily I understand most Spanish, but just can't speak it. I told the waitress who spoke English and Spanish what I wanted. Which was 2 potato, egg, and cheese tacos on flour; 1 bacon, egg, and cheese on flour and 1 Mexican coke to start and 1 to go. This is my go to breakfast taco order. The order came out rather quickly, but also not too quickly if that makes sense. The waitress brought it out on a beautiful hand painted authentic Mexican plate. The style kind of reminded me of my travels to Puebla, Mexico. I felt right at home. The tortillas were a nice color, the potatoes and bacon weren't soggy, and the cheese was melted! Those are my automatic failures for a restaurant if it is messed up on my breakfast taco and so far Gaona's had passed. Now time for my first bite. WOW. The texture, of the entire taco was amazing. The taco was a decent temperature not too hot which I like. The one thing I really want to rave about and that I know a lot of my family would love- is that the tortilla was TOSTADA and guess what... I didn't have to ask!!!!! Everywhere I go we always ask for our tortillas to be tostada, but this morning I was so exhausted from work the day before that I completely forgot. A tortilla makes the taco. The egg was cooked well, bacon was in strips and CRISPY, but NOT burnt and the potatoes (chef kiss) were perfection. I would say out of all the taco places I've tried this would rank in my top five. One thing I did find myself gravitating to was adding a bit more salt to my taco, but I grew up in a sodium loving family. So my love for salt is unmatched. After I finished my tacos I stayed a little bit longer to finish some work at my table and the waitress still checked up on me even though I should have left a long time ago. It hit around 8AM and people started to come in and this was the crowd I was hoping for as I was concerned no one would be there. This crowd though wasn't just any crowd... I could tell these families coming in with abuelas, abuelos, tíos/tias, primos/primas, the entire familia showing up weren't just guests they were actually regulars. It seemed everyone who enter had been there multiple times already and had their designated tables. That's what I love about a small restaurant like that to the staff you are family and that's what makes the tacos even better. This place is a hole in the wall, but that's a wall I would also run through! Go try it out you won't regret it! Just good luck parking if you are the first one there and there aren't any cars parked already, because when I was leaving all the cars outside were totally parked differently than me, but somehow their way made a lot more sense. Here's what I ordered and cost down below: - 1 Taco Tocino Con huevo: $4.49 - 2 Taco de Papa con Huevo: $3.49ea -2 Coca Cola Mexicana: $4.49ea Total gross amount of order not including tip: $20.51 I'll be back next quarter for sure!

Will be back soon! Did love everything about it! Good job ! Keep up the fresh n tasty food!
