Our hist knows the owner of La LoMita real well. He called him and said he needed fajitas for 12 people. In an hour the owner Mario was helping us load up pans and trays of food. The tortillas look hand made and everything is authentic. We had plenty to eat for two or three meals. Mario and his staff are super friendly and they keep that place clean. La Lomita is a jewel in small town Georgia for sure

They have a sign that says happy hour on all margaritas, but then after you order it's a limit on what you can get.

Went to eat there for the first time because others have recommended it. The food overall wasn't…read morebad, but I have had better. If I was rating the taste of the food, I would give it a 7 out of 10. The service wasn't the greatest. The server did seem like she could have been newer. It seemed like she didn't know the menu that well and had to come back and ask us what meat we wanted even after she wrote down our orders. I still left a generous tip on the table as I always do, because I know people can have bad days. The issue came when I went to pay. I noticed that there was a 20% gratuity charge on my tab. I let the lady know that i had left the tip on the table. She told me that I could skip that and wouldn't be charged. So I went ahead and proceeded to pay. A screen did pop up asking about leaving tip, and I proceeded to click the skip button as instructed. Then clicked print receipt so I could verify the charges. Then receipt didn't because it was out of paper. Then the lady asked if I really needed the receipt in which I said yes. She didn't know how to change the paper in the printer so she went to the back and came back with a receipt with just my order on it with no dollar amount. I let her know that I needed one that had the totals on it. She then called Kevin over to help here. Kevin changed the paper, got my receipt printed, and handed the receipt to me. I told Kevin that there was 20% gratuity added to my receipt. I let him know that I left it on the table. He told me that it was on their menus and TVs that they add it automatically. I let him know that I had already added something on the table and that I should be able to decide how much I leave based on the service that I received. This is when he got an attitude with me and told me that it was perfectly legal for him to add gratuity (which I never questioned the legality of it). I did raise my voice and told him that I should be able to decide how much I should leave if the service sucked. I let him know that I would never come back. He proceeded to inform me that they would still be open tomorrow. In closing, I was more upset that I was lied to about being able to skip the gratuity once I paid and it wouldn't be included on my bill. So Kevin, you are correct. You may still be open tomorrow as you informed me as I was leaving, but you will never get another dime of my money.

I stopped in on a Thursday around 6pm. As usual, I ate at the bar. It's small and can seat around 4…read morepeople comfortably. The dining room was full at some point while I dined, but not the whole time. They had several to go orders. I walked in and was promptly greeted by a friendly gentleman who told me to make myself comfortable. I was brought complimentary chips and salsa right after I received my drink. The salsa had awesome flavor. Slightly spicy, but more flavorful with strong notes of garlic. I loved it. I ordered the bean dip (no description on the menu) to go with it, which turned out to be basically refried beans with queso. It was awesome also, I just wasn't expecting the queso. For dinner, I ordered the Milanesa de pollo torta, but I made a lot of modifications. I just wanted the Milanesa, the guacamole that it comes with, and tortillas. All 3 were top notch- the guacamole was fresh, the tortillas were homemade and the milanesa was very well seasoned. I enjoyed my meal and would definitely be a regular if I lived in the area.
