Leveling, pouring a foundation, framing, getting plumbing and electrical hooked up, etc. Jesus, I wouldn't be surprised if they come out to the jobsite for you and start barking at the contractors screwing it up. They do all this because they got the Ace Hardware heart. It might be a bit pricier here than Home Depot or, God forbid, Lowe's (DO NOT GO TO LOWE'S! they got worse than service than popeyes chicken), but the helpful hardware folks who work here are worth the extra penny. Not only can they sell you what you want, but they'll cheerfully help you find a solution to your problem. I've even been in there and had them tell me "Our competitor has a better solution. Here's what you need to ask for." If all American businesses were run this well, there'd be no recession!
