I had to take my husband's wedding suit in for a flower stain removal (he was devastated that the suit was stained since it was his first expensive piece of clothing and had a lot of sentimental meaning for him). The place we took it first never even steamed the jacket or even tried to get the stain out even though they said they tried twice. I had another shirt that had dirt on it and they said they weren't able to get it cleaned either...this particular shirt I didn't care so much if it was ruined so I tried to get the dirt off myself. It came right off in the gentle wash I used. So I knew they truly hadn't done anything with the jacket and even tried to hide it from me when I first went to pick it up. We went here as a last ditch effort to salvage the jacket and they were able to not only get the stain out (from June!) but they steamed the jacket and were able to keep the integrity of the fabric. Absolutely will only ever come here moving forward. The staff were so nice and understanding. I couldn't have asked for more compassionate and caring people to work on such a delicate item and circumstance. read more

I would give this location a 0 if I could. On 2-separate occasions they lost a business suit of mine. The 2nd time a suit was not returned to me, they denied it. With the express drive thru service you clothes are put in the back seat and the number never checked against the ticket you gave the employee when you pull up. When I called to speak to the manager, I was ignored and never received a call back. When I called to speak with one of owners and left a message, she too ignored my call. They don't care about their customers and maintaining a long standing relationship. For that reason I could never ever recommend anyone trust them with their garments, unless you don't care if it's not returned. read more

"You get what you pay for", that's how the saying goes and at Cowboy Cleaners, they're certainly not the cheapest in town but these guys do it right. If you have name-brand garments of silk, wool, cashmere and linen, then these guys know how to care for them properly. I like how they fold the items very nicely or place them on padded hangers if appropriate - very nice attention to detail. I've been using this particular location (they're all over SA) for over 13 years now. This is the best cleaner around. Their services are superior. They are reasonably priced. they have pickup and delivery service. they have drive thru services. They also have 24 hour lockbox services where you can drop off or pick up your dry cleaning. You can pick up a plate to go or some tacos at El Pequin when you drop off or pick up your cleaning. They refused to clean a dress of mine because the tag says "no dry clean" and "no washing" Generally this means the maker did not have to test the dye to see if it runs and this dress was all one color. If the dress had been two colors: say black and white then it probably would've been an issue. It was a solid color. The other option is clean it alone, which cost more but I would've paid. As well, it may have been the beads that could've dissolved in the dry cleaning solvent. I get that, I taught chemistry. So, the last option is to was in water. His cleaners is not versed in helping a customer. I offered to sign a disclaimer and they said nope. Can't help you. Won't wash it. Sorry. They did apologize. A good cleaner will give options and work with a customer and will know all that I mentioned above. This location did not. My search for a tried and true garment cleaner has started. The quality of service is comparable to other pricier cleaners in the area but you get good quality dry cleaning with lower prices. I've used Cowboys several times and will continue to because its close to my house, the staff is always very cheerful and because they do a good job. My clothes always look good. read more

I took 4 pieces to the Cowboy Cleaners. 3 shirts to laundry and one pair of pants to be altered. Got 4 shirts back. I never saw the pair of pants again. I was told that it was deliver to me, because the system shows that it was paid and delivered. I returned the shirt that wasn't mine, said thank you for never more. read more

Do not ever use!!! a bunch of CROOKS!! Took my shirts to them because they say they will dry clean for $2.50 per shirt, but what they do not tell you is that it is another $2.00 if your shirt is a 2X. So for a 2X it would cost you 4.50 per shirt. Tried to have them explain why this was not told to me when i asked them the cost per shirt and the hateful Mgr. at the Bulverde store threatened me with 911 and would not answer my question. This place sucks. I took 7 items to get dry cleaned, 2 of which had a small stain on the fabric. I pointed this out to the employee helping me and informed him that I would like for them to focus on removing the stain. They charge up front and it was not cheap. Well, when I came back to pick up my clothes, the employee just gave them to me and said Bye! I looked at my clothing and the stains were still there! I pointed this out and the guy was embarrassed and took my clothing back. He assured me that they would re clean my items, this time focusing on the stains. (Because that was the whole point for those two items). When I came back a week later, I swear to god the stains were BIGGER. It was bizarre. I asked for my money back because they basically charged me for doing nothing, and the woman working was a total bitch! She refused to refund me, even partially, or give me a credit toward a future dry cleaning. She could not care less that I was an unhappy and frustrated customer. And get this.. I took my items home and decided to spot treat them myself using Resolve. And the GD stains disappeared in 5 minutes!! WHAT A WORTHLESS company!! read more

Brought in professional white lab coat, dry clean and heavy starch. They generated a large black oil/grease mark on the coat. Their quality control is zero, they never noticed a large black oil mark in the middle of a bright white coat. They charged full price and said they would re-clean the coat. No discount, no offer of reimbursement for a problem they created, and I went home to iron and starch a coat. Picked up coat 4 days later, black oil mark was out, but the coat had massive wrinkles pressed into the coat, unwearable. Looked like I washed it at home and didn't bother to iron it. Evidently they starched the wrinkles into the coat. So, I had to iron and starch. End result, for 10 dollars I got to launder, iron, and starch my own coat. Never, never use these guys. read more
