I am aware that you should not expect 5 star service and food from a tourist chain such as…read moreRainforest Cafe, however our experience at this location was pretty poor. First and foremost, we waited nearly 20 minutes after being seated before anyone came to serve us, despite flagging people down multiple times. Similarly, we had trouble getting service when we needed more drinks or to pay our bill which was almost an issue as we were trying to catch a shuttle bus at a specific time. I understand that in Europe, especially France, it's not uncommon for servers to leave you alone until you need them but here we were essentially ignored. Luckily the food was edible, although edible is the only praise I would give it. It was not very tasty or well presented. This was not a Rainforest Cafe experience I would recommend and I hope ours was an outlier.

Soooooooooo, This…read morereally ruined rainforest cafes for me. I get it, we aren't in the states, and things are done differently in other countries ... buttttt just no. We paid 27€ for a steak plate ... anddd it was eaten within 5 bites. it was THIN, no flavor, and all around horrible. Now a simple fish and chips, shouldn't have been messed up right? WRONG! Why was it dripping in oil! It made me so sad, whenever I asked for malt vinegar our waitress gave me the dumbest look and walked away, never coming back. Now, we tried coming to eat here the night before and it was PACKED. So we decided we'd try again the next day and try to make it before a lunch rush, and we did just that! We came in, and there was only 9 other families dining. We thought we'd get great service and all. Wasn't the case. Waited 20 minutes for water and a coke, the alcoholic beverage came at the end of the meal, we just wanted to leave because we just couldn't even order any food. There were sooo many people working! And it was like no one was being helped. However I still love the thunderstorms and how the animals move, that's the ONLY reason I gave this place a second star.

We each got the combo platter that allowed us to try multiple meats and sides, and I have to say that I was extremely impressed with the meat. Especially the brisket, a particular favorite of mine when it comes to BBQ. The mac and cheese was a solid side, but the coleslaw was underwhelming. As Americans, yes, we expect large portions. I've been to Europe often enough to manage those expectations pretty well, so I was also pleased when we each reached a comfortable stopping point and were able to get takeaway boxes for our leftovers. I know it's traditionally trés gauche to take leftovers from French restaurants, but I was happy to see that the trend is catching on. After all, not wasting food is a good thing, is it not? We carried those leftovers all the way to Amsterdam the next day--that's how much we wanted to finish them. We opted to sit in the terrace seating that has a suspended plank for a table so that we could people watch Rue St. Denis, a busy street in this arrondissement. It's in a great neighborhood that was vibrant and full of life, even in the wake of the pandemic. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who would like to try good Texas style BBQ in the middle of Paris.

Since we are from Texas we had low expectations but we were wrong. Freddy's BBQ Serves excellent BBQ THAT WOULD COMPETE WITH ANY IN Texas Or Tennessee! The brisket was perfectly smoked, tender and juicy! The pulled pork was fantastic and the ribs were solid! We had all the sides and loved them The two pitmasters are trained and from Texas and Oklahoma So you know they know what real BBQ is!

THE FOOD ----------------…read more+ Breakfast buffet had a solid variety of foods and enough to satisfy everyone - scrambled eggs, bacon, chicken sausage, baked beans, mickey-shaped waffles, pound cake slices, plain yogurt, cereals, chocolate croissants, plain croissants, white bread, jams, maple syrup, nutella packets, cold cuts, cheese slices, fruit cocktail, pineapple slices, orange slices, pre-packaged apple sauces, apple juice, orange juice, coffee machines, milk machines and I'm probably missing something else, but you get it - plennnnnty to choose from. THE SERVICE ------------------- - The employees aren't really active in clearing dirty plates and cups from occupied tables, so you have to clear your table on your own if it becomes too crowded. They only clear the tables once you're done. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------- + Breakfast is at the La Cantina restaurant located towards the back of the main building where the reception is. + Interior space of the restaurant is like a cave and hugggeeeeeee. It might be the largest restaurant I've ever seen on a single floor. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = During breakfast, it absolutely gets crazy crowded and busy. A line will form everyday at the front, but don't fret as there is more than enough space to accommodate everyone, so you will definitely be seated when you arrive.
