    The front of the menu.

My husband and I went last night. The service is good. The ambience is great. However, the food is NOT so good. The miso soup was very salty. The rice on the River rolls was very soggy. The River roll states that it had shrimp tempura inside the roll and breaded shrimp on the top. Well the breaded shrimp tasted like breaded chicken. My husband got the Bullhead city roll. Now that one stated that it had beef, chicken and bacon. I seen the beef but that's about it. That roll was terrible. I would not go back and there for any of their rolls. I think they need to stick to Spanish food not Japanese.

    Laughlin roll and West Roll

The food was delicious from the beef back ribs to the drinks and rolls. My husband tried the breaded Laughlin Roll which was delicious. I got the West Roll and it comes with crab meat drizzled in a spicy mango sauce which was incredible. The service was also amazing, there was no wait time which we loved. The atmosphere is so chill and we loved the indoor setting . We are definitely coming back.. Only con was the $4 fee we were not expecting or informed of for using card but now we know for next time.

The iced green tea reminded me of soft drinks from the old country. The food (grilled salmon be to box) was something I missed. Didn't feel like miso soup this time. The rolls (one with baked scallops, and the California roll with real crabmeat) were delicious. Whenever I'm in town, I've historically gone twice every trip. Definitely money's worth. Just eat here! I think we've only missed it once, and that was because they were closing early and we didn't make it in time. I was so disappointed in myself that time! My go-to order is the baked mussels, and to this day, they have never missed the mark. They are consistently delicious, with amazing flavor and perfectly cooked every time. Order them!!! I also didn't include a picture but the surf and turf sushi roll is fire. Order that too! I usually come with a large group, and everyone orders a variety of entrées and sushi rolls. We've always been very happy with our food. The prices are great, the service is good, and the quality is consistently reliable. We'll continue making Minato's part of our annual Laughlin trips for years to come. I highly recommend giving them a try! One helpful tip: call ahead and ask what time they're actually closing. Their closing time can sometimes be different from what's listed on Google, so it's worth checking before you go.

The first night we got there, we went to one Sushi place called "The Sushi Spot" that was just awful. On our last night, we decided to look for another Sushi place, and we thought this place looked more decent and came here. We wanted just a booth and not the food show, and we got a booth. I noticed the music was very loud; I have never seen a sushi place have the music this loud and playing '80s music. I couldn't even hear the waiter. Their menu also looked so weird, and so much stuff looked the same. The waiter talked really fast. I asked the same question, and so did my friend: what was the deal with the Sushi and Sashimi 3 piece was? He told us two different versions of what it was, and neither made sense. I asked about the Bento box, something I have ordered at many other Sushi places in LA. I asked how the beef was done; he said is shaved beef. I have never even heard of shaved beef in a Sushi place?. I told him all the Bento box beef was BBQ and grilled, and he said not this one. My friend ordered the Bento box with salmon, and his was semi-decent, but the fish was very oily, deep-fried in hot oil. I waited and then ordered the Mahi Mahi, but I didn't understand what it comes with; he said that one is grilled. The food took a while to get there and when it came, it was really awful. The fish was so tiny; the sides were steamed rice and regular pasta and some vegetables that looked came out of a can. I ate the fish and some of the rice, but the pasta was disgusting. I pushed my dish to the side to be removed. This was the second Sushi place we went to in Bullhead City, and it was very disappointing. There is nothing worse than bad food served by a rude, arrogant waiter, I rarely write food reviews, but avoid this place, this is not a real Sushi place. If you want to eat great food, then go to a place called SaltGrass inside the Golden Nugget; the best food and atmosphere with a great view of the Colorado river. That was the best place we ate in Bullhead City.

We had a hard time finding anything that tasted fresh. Most of the food was either fried or heavily covered in sauce, and there weren't many lighter or freshly prepared options. The hibachi station was especially disappointing because it was out of meats every time we went back, making it difficult to actually enjoy one of the main attractions of the restaurant. While the prices are relatively inexpensive, I still felt it was expensive for the quality of the food we received. In the end, none of us ate very much, and we ended up going somewhere else for dinner afterward. The customer service was perfectly fine, and the staff was courteous. However, one thing that really stood out in a negative way was a young man handling food who had extremely long fingernails on both hands. That's simply not something I want to see from someone preparing or serving food I'll be eating. I hope they improve the freshness of the food and keep the hibachi station consistently stocked, because the restaurant has potential. As it stands, though, it just wasn't an experience our family would repeat.

We've been here many times…read moresince they first opened and it's crazy how every time we eat here it gets worse and worse. This time was unacceptable. We won't ever come back. The young man working the register, serving drinks, bussing tables by and cleaning up around the whole seating area and buffet area was the only one really working and the only friendly person there. All the food looked old and dry, some worse than others and we had to ask a couple of times if they could make more because it looked gross and really old(what was left anyways) all of the desserts were literally hard as rocks, even my favorite donut sugar balls. Taste was off and they were hard and crunchy. I literally showed my hubs by jamming my fork in it (took three tries) and tapping it on the plate. Hard as a rock. Sushi looked and tasted great but the stir fry ingredients were all dried out, including the sliced meats. There was an older man there, the older always grumpy faced lady and the two younger girls there but they didn't do much. There was an older gentleman who walked in and stood waiting at the register for quite a while before saying "hello?!" I had to tell the young girl that the man needed help but she didn't help him. The older lady just stood at the back watching and the young man came running out from making drinks to help this man. Because when we got there everything was either old and gross looking or the tray we're almost empty, I didn't eat much. Oh and since all the desserts were old and rock hard hubs tried to get an ice cream but unfortunately there was none. Boo Sad that no one there seems to care about the quality of the food and service. There over an hr and not once did anyone ask if we needed anything or refill our drinks. Oh and the booth back rest was broken so the big guy seated behind me had me bouncing around in my seat every time he moved. Which he did a lot. Annoying.

The fish is always fresh, and they have so many great specialty items and lunch deals. The garlic-spiced edamame is honestly some of the best I've ever had! The veggie tempura is light, crispy, and perfectly crunchy. For lunch, the orange chicken bento is probably my go-to. They make it in-house, and it's the perfect balance--not too sweet and not overly breaded. For dinner, the fish boat is my absolute favorite! I was working this past July in Bullhead, Arizona for a project and it was my first time being there. My co-worker and I are both from California, which has some of the best Sushi. We decided to find a sushi place. This place, "Sushi Spot" had the highest rating, and that was our first mistake. We were both very hungry, and when we walked in, I just felt something was off, it was a very weird setting for a Sushi place; it felt like we were in a Mexican restaurant. Even the men behind the counter who were making the Sushi were Latin, and so were all the servers. I have nothing against Latinos, but I have never seen a Sushi place like this. Then this little girl with glasses, with a very nasty attitude, not even hello or a smile, took us to our table. My friend also found the place a little odd, but we were up at 4 Am and had worked all day and tired. I told my friend if you want to go somewhere else we don't have to stay here. I personally felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave. My co-worker said he was too tired to drive somewhere else. The little waitress came back, and we asked for Green tea, which is usually served at every Sushi place for free, and she said we only have tea bags. I asked her, you don't serve Green tea at all? she said: "no only Chinese restaurants do that". We both ordered the Bento box that comes with either Chicken, fish or Beef. I have had the Bento box at many Sushi places, but this one was not what I call a real Bento box. The beef came in tiny pieces like flakes you see in a cereal. They were barely warm, mixed in with shredded cabbage that wasn't even cooked. The rolls tasted awful, and the miso soup was barely warm. My friend ordered Salmon Bento; it was so tiny, the rice was ok, and the rest was like mine, below average. Everything about this place was awful, and to add insult to injury, they started mopping the floor with bleach right next to our table right as we were eating and the smell was just unbearable. I told my friend it's time to leave, and we asked for the check. This little waitress came over and she didn't even have reciept, she yelled out what the total was. You couldn't get to more ghetto than this place that looked like some low-grade restaurant that calls itself " Sushi Spot"? I don't think the people who are rating this place have any idea of what real Sushi is.
