We've been here a couple of times. The sushi is bomb! We've had the sashimi and it was yummy! We had the fried ice cream for dessert and it was delicious. Avocado bomb is a must! We will definitely be back! The service isn't great so that is why I do not give it a 5/5. read more

Even though we have all you can eat sushi in Reno all the time,we like to try sushi everywhere we go. Unfortunately this place only does AYCE sushi on Tuesdays and Thursday nights, so we went during lunch and had bento boxes. The bento boxes come with miso soup, salad, rice, california roll, egg roll, and what ever kind of entre you choose. One of us had the teriyaki salmon, 2 had the teriyaki beef and one had the chicken katsu. All 3 were good choices. The food was good, the service was great, and the place was playing good music but not too loud, so very enjoyable. Only reason it gets 4 stars is because of the lack of all you can eat. We were very disappointed, the fish wasn't fresh and the sushi rice was not well seasoned. Everything came with a lot of sauce to cover up what wasn't working. We got take out and the hostess helping us was nice. But our portions were small for the price and the quality just isn't there. The Tuesday night all you can eat is probably the best thing that they have. I don't know if it's because it's a different sushi chef, but it is a good Tuesday night for sure. I went in for lunch the other day and I had one roll and one tuna and it was with the with a $3 tip $35. They do have lunch specials which I should have gotten. This is the first sushi restaurant that I've been in where they don't give you at least a cup of miso and a little salad along the side. So $35 for one roll and one tuna was a little bit over the top with no extra anything. The service is always nice and the place looks fabulous. They made it look Japanese so it really does look beautiful and it is very comfortable in there. Next time I just will get something from the lunch menu. read more

If I could give this place 10 stars I would! I called Sushi Spot 2 weeks ago to make a reservation for 22 and spoke to Lesley! Not only did she accommodate us, but she went above and beyond our needs. We had 2 birthdays in our party, they took the time to decorate for our party with balloons and a banner. The food was absolutely delicious, the price was right and this will become a regular visit when we come to town! The fried rice was so delicious and every roll we had was fresh and great. Greeted when you walk in, no waiting on a Wednesday at 12:40. Great ordering service with Pepsi only products. 2 piece sushi is $7.99+. Special roll and chef choice of 4 pieces of sushi $15.99. Lunch bento box with orange chicken $15.99. After we received our food we waited 3 minutes for wasabi and ginger which was odd for a Japanese restaurant and annoying. The rice was warm and not real appealing. The sushi was delicious and fresh. The bento box was a good value but the lettuce salad lacked dressing and the spring salad greens were bitter; couldn't eat. The chicken was hot, great flavor, and a good portion. It's very pricey sushi and we won't go back. Rap music was playing which isn't our favorite and again a surprise for Japanese cuisine. read more

Came down here for vacation from the LA area and was seriously craving sushi. Thought, 'why not?' and picked this place based on the solid reviews. I'll be honest I was a little nervous about eating sushi in the desert (felt kinda sketchy), but wow, it was actually really good! The rolls we got totally hit the spot, and we also had some red snapper and yellowtail nigiri (didn't snap a pic, oops). Both were super tasty especially the red snapper, which was super fresh. Bento boxes took 18 minutes to get. A little long for lunch. Chicken teriyaki was a little dry, great presentation. Steak teriyaki, sushi and egg roll was very good. Just opened 2 months ago. My husband and I moved here from Vegas a few months ago and thought we'd have to make the hour and a half drive back to Vegas to eat good sushi but this place truly surprised us! Our waitress was inviting, kind and funny. The food looked as amazing as it tasted. The rolls seem pricey when looking at the menu (and coming from Vegas where every sushi place has all you can eat for $27) but the rolls are HUGE, filling and well worth the price. We were there 30-40 minutes and my food never arrived! The waitress finally admitted my food was delivered to a different table. They were just about finished cooking it and she wanted to know if I wanted it to go, since everyone was done and ready to leave! I never got my dinner. I had to take it home.
