Came here again this year for a prime rib dinner. It did not disappoint. Got a 16 oz. Cut cooked rare. So tasty and tender. Had a salad with the entree as well as fries. The fries were so hot and very good. We also had bread and butter complimentary. We brought our own wine and the corkage was a reasonable $10. The server Amanda was terrific. You can't help but be charmed by this quaint, rustic charm of a restaurant from the moment you walk in. From the brick walls, to the cowboy accents, dark wood beams in the ceilings and animal heads on the wall, it seems a little kitschy but it's really not. I never heard about this place until they posted on Facebook looking for people to lunch with them and I'm so incredibly happy I lunched. We were pleasantly greeted by the hostess with a "sit anywhere you want" and a huge smile. We picked a nice little two-seater in the corner. The lunch menu is very reasonably priced with an assortment of mouth watering options like a hot pastrami sandwich, chicken bacon ranch sandwich, burgers, you name it...all coming with chips and a choice of side. A steal for all that food! I ordered the Hot pastrami sandwich with chips and a side salad, hubby got the patty melt with chips and upgraded to the macaroni and cheese side. Soft drinks are served in goblet style wine glasses which made me feel a little hoity-toity but in a cool way. Food did take a little longer than I expected to come out, but it wasn't a bother....it gave us time to chat and appreciate the vibe. Food looked absolutely delectable when it arrived; everything looked freshly cooked, salad was sparkling with fresh cut veggies and the chips were just the right amount. One bite into that hot pastrami sandwich and I had a moment of pure bliss. That pastrami was perfectly sliced, cheese melted, coleslaw was fresh, mustard had more of a tap instead of a kick and crispy pickles. Every bite made me eager for the next. Hubby gave me a bite of the macaroni and cheese to try and it tasted homemade...creamy! Hubby also thoroughly enjoyed his patty melt...patty was medium as ordered, melty cheese and grilled bread. We can't wait to visit again for lunch soon and dinner as well! This is absolutely my new favorite place! read more

Visited here on my first trip to Emmett for the Cherry festival and I will definitely be back! We had 4 adults and two small children and our server was so great and accommodating. She suggested the pastrami and it was SO good - I'm rationing my leftovers as we speak. The French fries are uniquely cut and delicious. We had reservations for three on Saturday evening @7:45 PM for my wife, daughter (21), and me. The weekend "hot rod" cruise was happening, so the streets in front were blocked and parking was a bit challenging -- likely why the restaurant wasn't crowded. The atmosphere is great (rustic, warm, and welcoming), and our server was wonderful (friendly, attentive, funny, and helpful). It's a really nice local hangout with the perfect small-town ambiance. We ordered a few drinks and three filets: two cooked "medium," and one "well done." The "well done" filet was cooked perfectly (it's hard to go wrong when you butterfly it), but our "medium" steaks were "well done" by every measurement -- gray in color, and not a drop of juice came from either. This was unfortunate, as the pieces of meat were excellent -- the kitchen failed us. (No, we didn't complain, as we were essentially three of ten people in the whole place -- didn't need to be ostracized.) A Certified Angus Beef filet, priced at a pricey $58 (er... about $75 after tip), should be perfect right out of the kitchen. There's no excuse for overcooking two of them. We finished our meals, paid the rather expensive $268 bill ($218 + tip), and left seriously disappointed. read more

The food was cooked very well. We both had the prime rib dinner. The meat was medium rare. They offered fresh horseradish in lieu of creamed. Our salads were fresh with cucumbers, chopped red onions, baby tomatoes and mixed greens. We had baked potatoes which came with all the fixings on the side. We enjoyed desserts. We recently went. Made a reservation on Yelp and showed up on time. Friendly staff, great ambiance and food was excellent. The bread they bring out in the beginning is amazing! We were one of a few tables and it took longer than normal to receive our order. Not sure if that was normal. Great experience. The only thing I wish I could change is the dining area is close to the bar. I had my young daughter with us and there were many foul words spoken from the bar area that I heard but was hoping my daughter did not pick up on. Enjoyed 2 dinners here in recent months. We secured reservations on Yelp, which is so nice. The staff is great, location is easy to access downtown and was able to park right in front on Main St. Here is the summary of the food... *Salads-Excellent! *Side dishes (baked potato, etc)-Excellent *Adult drinks-Excellent *8 oz Filet-Excellent! *10 oz Ribeye-it is a miss for me. What a fun and delicious experience. Tony our server was so nice and attentive. The building is over 100 years old, quaint and welcoming. Our friends brought us here since we're from the LA area for a good steak. We were very happy with the ribeye and NY Strips. The baked potato was creamy and perfect with all the toppings. Oh and the starter salad was crispy and delicious too. And who doesn't love an $8 Old Fashioned? Yes please. Finished our lovely meal with the homemade cinnamon roll cheesecake. OMG!!!! Great service. Our server did great. The bread was good, the drinks were good. The mashed potatoes and cowboy beans were good. I had the ribeye and it was NOT good. It seemed like subpar meat and was quite tough even though I ordered it medium. Too much gristle. My wife had the new york at medium well and it was much better. 4 stars for that. My ribeye almost tasted grass-fed. No fat content... tough, just not worth it. The salads didn't have enough dressing. Again, the server was great. The service was great. I guess I just had higher hopes for my ribeye. Overall it was decent. Just not worth the money (my meal) and with all the other options out there, we won't be coming back. read more
