Was super hungry one day while driving around the area and found this place on the old Yelp Machine. The thing that jumped out at me was the photo of the burger, now call me crazy but I think at this point I can look at a menu, photos of food and then the reviews to guide me. Yelp hasn't failed me yet! The first thing was walking in the door there were two hostess who smiled and greeted me. We were seated at the bar since there were just two of us. I ordered the Crave burger with bacon and my guest ordered the house salad with tortilla soup. Everything was excellent! The burger was juicy, flavorful, the bacon was perfectly crispy, Smokey and the white cheddar cheese was the perfect compliment! Now let's talk about the bun, I typically don't eat burger buns but this one was the exception to the rule. It was homemade obviously, buttery, light, and toasted to perfection. I ate both of them! Hahahaha! I felt so dirty typing that the French fries were crispy, just the right amount of salty and fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside. My guest agrees with everything in this review. The house salad was fresh, the vinaigrette was homemade and delicious and the tortilla soup was even great! The ambience was a place you could have a business meeting or take your significant other on a date night. There is literally something for everyone on their crave-able menu ( see what I did there?) Our server who was the bartender kept our glasses full and made sure he checked on us often. I found my new burger spot in Eagle, Idaho?!?! Five stars.

One of my favorite restaurants! Our waiter made great suggestions, was fine with substitutions, and our water was always full! The food as always was delicious. My favorite is always the rosemary focaccia with ricotta truffle honey ricotta. We also shared a wedge salad between the 4 of us! For entrees we got the halibut, short ribs, Crab and Shrimp Udon Carbonara, and double stack crave burger. They have such a great selection, and we're never disappointed. You have to end with their key lime pie, it's divine. A great place to go for date night with a fun atmosphere, music was a little loud for my parents:)

Grabbed dinner here with my work team and it worked out great. We had such a great server who was hilarious. Food came out quick and so did drinks! Next time I'd like to get dinner on the rooftop! Highly recommend going!

Great restaurant in Eagle but the (glass) wine list is seriously disappointing. It's hard to believe such a nice restaurant would only carry cheap grocery store wines with so many amazing local wineries... but alas- at least the cocktails are well made. The menu has a nice variety and the service is always friendly and accommodating. It seems to stay quite busy, so make sure to make a reservation! And Crave... please improve your wine selection, it's embarrassing.

Amazing food, scratch kitchen made, delicious twists on cocktails, fantastic service, delivered in a modern wood/stone/onyx accented ambiance. What a treat, to celebrate our Aunt's 95th Birthday Celebration! We had a large group that tried everything. Cocktails included the Devil you know Rita, Going down south (Mezcal), Huckleberry Mule, The Dragon. Starters included the Rosemary Focaccia. The absolute best truffle honey ricottta. A must. Then an array of entrees, winner was the pork shank! Tangy, slightly spicy fall off the bone flavor from the special Kurobota pork. The night ended w/Don Julio and Celebration cake! What a treat, a five layer specialty cake. Amazing experience, delivered by a great crew, and led by the best, Ken.

Great local bar and restaurant with very good service! Koah and her team, pic below, took very good care of us and the food was all amazing from tuna tartar with guacamole appetizer to the pork short ribs over spaghetti squash and frankly the cheese cake! With a lively bar and great energy. I will be back!

They had me at hello... but really had me at the short rib dumplings and espresso martini My husband took me here for my birthday and we originally came for the sushi (because if there's sushi on the menu, we're going ). And wow -- everything delivered. The sushi rolls were fresh, flavorful, and straight-up gorgeous. Every plate looked like art. The short rib dumpling appetizer? SO good. And the espresso martini? Smooth, strong, and exactly what a birthday girl deserves. The vibe is clean, cozy, and perfect date-night energy. Dim lighting, cute bar, great ambiance -- very "let's stay a little longer" kind of place. Our server was amazing too -- super attentive and made me feel extra celebrated all night (as they should ‍). Then dessert came out and they did the most -- a 5-layer cake with homemade gummy bears AND a giant sparkler candle shooting sparks like it was New Year's Eve Total main-character moment. The only tiny downside was the cake itself was a little dry, but honestly the presentation made up for it. Great sushi, great drinks, great service, great vibes. 10/10 birthday spot -- we'll definitely be back.

If you're reading this review and have not dined at this establishment yet. Trust me when I say, make a reservation asap because this will be your new favorite restaurant in Idaho. From the moment my party of 6 sat down, service from Ray was impeccable. This place has a great bar area, with a couple of tv's as well as a section of tables with glass walls to watch the sunset. Now for the food...we basically ordered almost half the menu and almost everything was amazing. Being a fisherman, I know it sounds crazy but the sushi dishes were top notch. The appetizers were mind blowing. The entree's definitely were palate pleasing and the bartenders made some exceptional drinks. The desserts were bomb! I will definitely be back since I do come to Idaho at least once or twice a year. Check the pics out to see all deliciousness.

What amazing food!!! I want to go back already. I'm visiting from Cali but I would eat here once a week if I lived in Idaho. The service was above and beyond great. The decor and ambiance so beautiful and relaxing the wood just makes you feel wonderful.

We…read morehave been here now for nearly two years, and we came here today, Friday, for an early dinner. It was not crowded, and we were seated right away. For some reason, we were seated in a corner booth near the bathrooms, while other customers were seated elsewhere in the restaurant. We didn't mind, however, because it was nice and quiet. And, for me, convenient. My wife had the Sirloin Salad, and I had the Ahi Poke Salad. My wife said that her meat was cooked the way she likes it, and the rest of the ingredients were delicious. For me, the ahi, sesame vinaigrette dressing, wonton strips, onions, and greens were very good. The food is always good at The Tavern. And, the prices are reasonable. Unlike our past experiences, the service this time around was not up to our usual. Our server, Hannah C., seemed in a rush and impatient. Though she told us to ask her if we had questions, I didn't find her responses to be pleasant. The first dish my wife was interested in had Boursin cheese. My wife had not heard of it, and she cannot eat a lot of cheese. She preferred something milder, like mozarella. When she inquired of Hannah, the reply was terse. "We don't have mozarella." "Do you have another milder cheese?" "Like what?" Not in a nice way, and not professional, in my opinion. And, she was loud. We waited longer than usual for our food, and when Hannah brought it, she just dropped the plates and split. To her credit, she did check in on us once during our meal. Now I don't know what kind of day Hannah was having. Maybe not so good. I don't know what kind of person she is, and I'll give her the benefit of the doubt that she is a nice woman. Hopefully she is not like how she was with us to all of her customers. I'm a 20% tipper. For her, it was 18%. I wasn't given a choice, but I would have gone down to 15%.

I was a little apprehensive, which unfortunately, my apprehension was warranted. We arrived around 5:45pm on a Thursday night and were asked if we could wait for 20 minutes. We sat and waited...and waited...and 2 other couples came in and were offered bar or outside seating instead of waiting (seriously?!?! We weren't given those options). One took the outside seating, the other opted to wait as well. We watched at least 6+ parties leaving, but we continued to wait. After 35 minutes, we were finally seated....and there were several empty booths around us. It took almost 10 minutes before our server arrived, so we had our orders ready. Drinks came about 10 minutes after ordering. Dinner came out at 7:15 pm. We had no idea this experience would be this long. Food looked great, but after one bite into my Cajun chicken club, I was really disappointed. The chicken was stringy-dry (at least my jaw got a workout) and the buns were borderline burnt instead of toasted. All the other ingredients (bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheese) were fresh and thankfully, enabled me to eat most of the sandwich. We rarely saw our server and both me and my husband ran out of drinks (we even finished off both waters) before she showed up for a refill. We didn't leave there until almost 8pm. Server was very nice, but the pace was a tad too slow...to the point of being absent. Hubby enjoyed his Tavern burger.

The lettuce and veggies in the salad were incredibly fresh and crisp, and it was tossed in a delicious, Greek-style dressing that complimented the dish perfectly. With its varied menu and delicious happy hour selection this place could be a favorite for a wide variety of the local population. Classy, welcoming with engaging staff. While the selections of taps are diverse and smart for diners, it is the kitchen that is the real star here. We tried the Happy Hour fare (3-5 pm). See the pics for details. We also tried the Kobe sliders, but they fell short of the Chicken Sliders with their tender, juicy cuts of breast. The lineup of drinks are on full display at the bar and with scannable menus. This is a solid place for bringing friends or family for a gathering - yes, like the name suggests "Common". If anyone in your group cannot find a drink and meal to their liking, then you need to replace that person from your social circle or family. 2 hour free parking directly behind the building makes this location much better than the downtown businesses in the liberal ghetto of Boise where they will soon tax the air you breathe. Here, the pricing will not require you to take out a second mortgage as the Boise elites would have you do for eating in their downtown. It is no surprise that more quality dining places are opening in cities like Eagle, Caldwell, Nampa and Meridian where Idahoans can enjoy life.

And with the view by the patio, how can it not be the most perfect setting to enjoy my birthday dinner. We just stuck with water since it was on the warmer side today. We just went straight in for dinner. As much as the appetizers sounded lovely, I was ready for the main event. So for dinner tonight I ordered the charboiled salmon with seasonal veggies in place of the salad. My salmon was plated beautifully with nice char marks on it. The veggies were a variety of squash and were sautéed nicely. And you can tell visually that they were seasoned nicely with spices and herbs. I dug right into my salmon. My first couple bites were delicious. I did spread some of the sun dried tomato butter on my salmon. The butter was fantastic! It added a nice flavor element to the salmon. After I ate about a a fourth of my salmon, I noticed that it was not cooked all the way through in the middle. With my new kidney, I can't have rare or undercooked fish. My immune system can't handle a parasite if the fish were to potentially contain any. I shouldn't have assumed that it was going to be cooked all the way since our server didn't ask how well I wanted it cooked. I did have to send it back and have another one remade. While my new fish was being prepared, my server gave me a small salad plate to transfer my veggies to. I got to work on them so I wasn't staring at my family eat. The veggies were cooked perfectly. They weren't overly soft or still raw. It had a nice bite to them while still being tender. Unfortunately, they were overly seasoned and was on the saltier side. I was hungry so I polished them off. But I did have to drink a good amount of water to help with the saltiness. Thank goodness the portion was on the daintier side. As hungry as I was, it would have been bad if it was a bigger portion. All that salt would not be good on my new kidney. My second round of salmon came out. Was it as pretty as my first plate, no but it will do. I'm sure they set the flame on high, let it sit on the grill for a while and then flipped it to cook the other side. I have cooked salmon well done plenty of times and have it come out tender. When you cook for a living, having cooking times for your dishes should be down to a science in your kitchen. Unfortunately, the salmon was super dry and flavorless. As hungry as I was, I ate it. The butter did help with the dryness of the salmon. But I shouldn't have to rely on butter to make the dish edible. For my birthday, I got a free dessert. I chose the gluten free carrot cake. My cousin eats a gluten free diet so I thought this cake would be perfect for all of us. I enjoyed the cake very much! The cake was moist. The spices in the cake were fragrant and very noticeable in each bite. I loved the frosting on the cake. Since the cake wasn't overly sweet, the frosting added a nice sweetness to it. I enjoyed the cake very much! Our server did a mid job. There were times when she would be gone for long periods of time and we had to wait for her. The patio was perfect with its stunning view. Dinner was ok but dessert was fabulous. Overall it was a decent experience. I do look forward to coming back and enjoying the outdoor patio with my husband for a date night. I just know now to make sure I vocalize everything to my server so I don't end up with dry salmon again. I do want to come back and have a better experience.

My girlfriends and I decided we needed to get some grub and enjoy the patio weather today so we all picked Sockeye to hit up for our monthly outing. I arrived first and the patio area was pretty chill. Was sat at a great table and hung out till the rest of my friends showed up. My two friends and I did get to peep out the menu for a bit. Our last friend who is notoriously late allowed is some extra time to really check out the whole menu without feeling rushed. Happy hour was going on so of course the apps were calling to me. I can make a meal off of multiple appetizers. We finally got food ordered when our last friend showed up. I got the salmon and shrimp crab cakes. I have left Sockeye hungry before after having dinner here so I also added a side of chili just in case. I was ready to eat! My crab and shrimp cakes came out looking fabulous. They were fried a nice golden brown. So crispy on the outside and savory on the inside. I love the aoili that was on top, it added an extra flair to the crab cake. 3 were in an order and it was the perfect amount. I smashed all 3 and they were so good! I did have a couple bites of the chili. It was hearty in meat and beans. Rich in flavor and filling. I'm looking forward to adding this chili to some fries with some cheese on top for dinner later. I know it's going to be so good. Our server did a great job tonight. Despite the fact that she had to wait till our last friend to show up, our server was on top of it. Our water was always filled, she checked up on us and always made sure we were happy. As a past server, it's hard to manage time between tables when the whole party isn't there. Our server didn't have that issue today. My girlfriends and I had a great time. We enjoyed the food, enjoyed the atmosphere and was happy that we got to do this all on the patio. I always forget that there's a Sockeye by us off of Hill Rd. I will have to check that one out soon to grab more crab cakes. I do look foward to coming back to this location and enjoying another round of appetizers on the patio here.
