Terrible service. Corrupt. Definitely not worth the money, management is awful, disrespectful, offensive, pathological liars, services are lacking, bare minimum, the locations are not well taken care of, poor conditions, wont fix most things, will turn in the place to you in poor conditions that i can assume they wont accept upon move out and wont return deposit to where you would have to fix or renovate things yourself to get your deposit back i would think from the contract specifications in regards to the condition of the place, will take multiple service calls for them to maybe possibly fix the issue, the AC has stopped working multiple times, they wont fix it for days or weeks, even when they finally do it doesnt last just breaks again. The phone person is absurdly unpleasant and will direct the interaction to be disgruntle and aggravating opposed to simple service call. Spare yourself the unnecessary disturbance, there has got to be a better property management in town. The included law maintenance is atrocious, will destroy your garden then be gross and offensively disrespectful about it. This company is not worth your money, over priced cesspool with the worst personnel in all aspects, must disgusting inhuman low lives. Thieves. will set things up to not work, as opposed to fix them, have needed the AC fixed for years to this day it still not working properly for this location, it is a 2 story and the air barely makes it up stairs. The repairs have made no difference at least it's no longer completely inoperative. Got the place for amenities like the jet hot tub but it's plumbing it's faulty and when draining it stains the first floor ceiling, the fireplace it's artificial gas operated, maintenence person stated they don't install a fan on it which then upon use had exhaust flow into the house suffocating me and activated the smoke detector, and the back deck ended up also of no use to me as the treeline behind it is covered in mold making the air unbreathable out there. I received none of my security deposit back becuase they "had to pay for cleaners with my money". I have never had my entire deposit taken for that as I am very clean and deep- cleaned myself before leaving. Then they told me I owed more for things that didn't make sense!! The office people are no help and they do not rush to do ANYTHING for anyone. I am so disappointed in this company as I thought I'd be getting my very pricey deposit back. read more

we live in a home nextdoor to a property managed by them, it is currently listed for rent. They have recieved multiple calls that their property is unlocked, their reply is "we leave it unlocked for rental applicants to view" After multiple calls for squatters staying there, they still refuse to secure the property. If this is any indication how they run their company, It should be a major Red Flag NOT TO RENT from them!!!! read more

I feel this is a very concerning matter. My daughter and four grandsons have been without heat all day. It is 6degrees outside and 47 degrees in the house. Cowherd told my daughter heat would be back on in a couple of hours at 1pm . It is now 7pm and my daughter has not heard from them or the HVAC guy. She is trying to find heat for her family. When contacting the company again. To see if they assist with space heaters or vouchers for hotel rooms. They said it is against their renters policy. My concern is that there seems to be no concern from this company regarding their renters. read more

When my wife paid the last months rent, she included a 30 day notice to vacate the premises. Later that month, I called to find out what we needed to do to get the house ready so we could get our deposit back. I was informed by their manager that they did not receive the 30 day notice to vacate the premises. I said that the check was cashed so they had to have received the letter. After numerous discussions, we were informed that they would not honor our 30 day notice and would have to resubmit the notice to vacate the premises. As this was a mistake of Cowherd Construction Property Management, I felt that I was treated without respect or the dignity to even evaluate the situation as a whole. Now, they are threatening us with eviction unless we pay this months rent which we told them to take out of the money that they already have. They take your money. Of course they will lie about this..but we both filled out an application, listed BOTH of our dogs and paid 40.00 each. We got a call saying we got the apartment. We put down the deposit. A few days later we filled out and signed the lease..again listing BOTH dogs. A few days later, Megan called numerous times and then emailed that we lied and tried to sneak in 2 dogs and pressured the girl to approve and sign the lease. Well, Megan..BOTH dogs were on the application. BOTH dogs were written in on the lease. We had a signed lease. The money was all paid. We had a legally binding contract. No one pressured anyone. She stated that the girl who signed and approved the lease didn't know how to do it.. So, my question is.. 1) How was I supposed to know she didn't know how to do it? 2) Why would you leave someone unable to figure out a lease, (which she knew) alone? 3) Why did you approve the application? Which clearly listed 2 totally different dogs..names, breed, sex age and color.. Obviously, Megan..you screwed up! No where did it say only one pet. These people are lucky I gave them one star. I'm the person that tries to give people positive reviews but I just can't here. I am currently looking for a home to rent and I saw several nice homes at a decent price! I called them and they say #1 was available all day for viewing and #2 after noon. So, I go on my little house hunting adventure and I go to house #1. I pull up and it doesn't even look the same from the outside. Its dirty, grungy, a lot of broken things. You could see they had been working in there. I walked in and stepped right back out. I did decide to give them another chance though. I checked out house #2. It was TERRIBLE. There was a sign as soon as you walk in saying enter at your own risk on a tore up couch. The place was trashed!!! You can tell squatters had been living there. I called cowherd and told them of this and they told me then it wasn't available for viewing. So, they obviously have communication problems in their business. I could have walked into that house and been seriously hurt, raped, mugged, or murdered because of these communication problems. So, cowherd construction... Took them over a week to run the application that they said would take 48 hours. I mean, that happens, I get it- but by the time they ran the application the beautiful apartment I had looked at was taken. They had another apartment that was "practically identical" only it was filthy, didn't have the beams or cool cabinets, and had a random stray cat shut in one of the closets. They said they hadn't had time to clean it but I was still disappointed. I've read a lot of negative reviews and wish I'd had a better experience with them to post. All in all, just "eh". read more
