We stopped for breakfast. The huevos rancheros were very tasty. If you're into biscuits and gravy, these are big, fluffy, soft biscuits, and a nicely balanced gravy. Service is super friendly, attentive, and fast. It's not a fancy spot - it's homey and charming in just the way a small town western cafe should be. HEADS UP: your nav might try to tell you that it's 3.5 miles off of I40. Lies. It's literally right off the interstate - even the people who work there are mystified as to why the directions can be so squirrelly. read more

We were traveling and began looking for a place for supper. We saw this on our map and decided to give it a try. From the outside, I wasn't sure how it would be, but there were a lot of cars there. So glad we stopped! The people were supper friendly, the food tasted great, and the prices very reasonable. The restaurant was clean and the bathroom well stocked. read more

Pretty good breakfast experience here while driving back to OKC from Lake Eufaula. It seemed to be the only place worth stopping on the way, so I was excited to give it a try! Nothing too special or out of the ordinary diner experience here, but I enjoyed my huevos rancheros and my partner had the biscuit scramble which was also delicious. Unfortunately they didn't have waffles that day which we wanted to try or any other sweet type breakfast items. The service was very good with friendly staff. Since we went for breakfast I can't speak to any of the lunch/dinner items, but seems like a decent place to me! read more

Excellent home cooked like grandma! We stop there every time we come this way. Sweet servers. Love the casual western feel.

This place is a good place to eat if you like home cooking. The fried chicken livers are awesome as is the sweet tea. Everything is fresh and prices are fair. The only complaint I had was they forgot the gravy which went with the livers. However that would not keep me from coming back! They did get pretty busy after we got there. All in all it was a great dinner. Will definitely stop on our way back!! read more

I don't live here, but my family has lived in this area forever. I've been meaning to make a review on this place forever. It's a really small town feel. Don't worry if you're not from here, though- they will still make you feel like you're home and Kim is an awesome waitress. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I really like the Indian tacos, but it's not like normal fry bread, it's more bread like/sweeter. It's my go to. Really good onion rings. Really good hamburger steak. Try it! Went there to try the chicken fried steak, when the waitress finally showed up, she said..." Just pick where you want to sit, if it's not clean I'll clean it for you." Well, half their tables were empty and they were ALL dirty. We stood about 5 minutes while we were waiting on her, and she just continue to help other customers and ignore us while the other racers could just standing around BSing. By the time we got tired of waiting and left, little lady that was staying at the package they're waiting to pay her bill when we walked in, was still waiting and being ignored. By no fault of their own...our visit today was a real let down...not because of the waitresses...but the place itself. Walked in at noon....100 degrees outside...and not much different inside. They were happy to serve a small version of the chicken fried steak to our daughter without all the dinner fixings, and we had the bacon cheeseburger with onion rings and tater tots, all excellent. Stopped on the way home from Robbers Cave. Only place to get something to eat pulling a long horse trailer. All I can say is don't come on Sunday! We came inside around 2pm. It took over 10 minutes to get waited on and 40 minutes to get a cheeseburger and chef salad. The cheeseburger was very good, the meat itself was tasty. The french fries, not so much. Was pleasant surprised how cheap it was. About half what all these chain truckstops would charge. They love to price gouge their customers. The only thing I didn't like was at the end I was gonna use the restroom. Until I walked in and saw the toilet right against the wall. I'm not gonna sit at an angle when trying to do my business! My friend & I are driving from Boston to Las Vegas, and grabbed a last minute room at the Super 8 Motel off I-40W in Henryetta, OK. Upon our departure we needed food & Cowpoke Cafe was the first location we spotted, and we are so thankful it was. I love me any great diner, and this is one of the best diners I have ever experienced. The western omelet was the best we have ever had, exploding with perfectly seasoned vegetables, and heaping portions of meat. We had the pleasure of being waited on by Kimberly, whose darling personality was infectious. If she agreed to come to Vegas, we would have taken her with us. This is a definite diner stop for any travelers looking for a delicious hot meal & genuinely good service. read more
