I recently started treatment here with Dr. Gross after purchasing a massage on Living Social. I was not sure I believed in Chiropractic care to fix pain or issues. I now am sure I do! These scammers came to my work in order to offer free massages for us hardworking people (read: drum up business) and I was stupid enough to believe them when they said they knew what could be done to help relieve some of my multiple sclerosis symptoms. Bullshit. After I gave a medical history, they decided that my occasional gait problems were due to flat feet and knee problems. Lord knows how much they charged my insurance for these procedures with their fancy equipment. Then they put me on a water-massage table. OK.... but then they turned up the HEAT! Idiots! What part of MS did they not understand? Apparently every part, which means they LIED when they told me they know how to treat it. When I complained, they were surprised- "everyone loves it" they claimed. Maybe they wanted to make me sicker, so I'd come back for more treatments. Needless to say, I told all my co-workers what yahoos they were, and now all of you know as well. read more

I've only been to one other chiropractor in my life and I've only ever gone when I've been in pain. But I definitely love this place!! They're so professional and you feel like the staff genuinely does care about you. My first initial visit with Dr. Waggoner and she was amazing. She's so sweet and helped adjust me on my first visit. Thank god she did or I might have died from back pains. I felt so much better but rather than just temporarily fix my back pains, I decided to actually follow through with treatment. So I went back today and met with Dr. Gross. He's such a nice guy - like someone you would actually want to be friends with. He explained to me in detail the workings of a spine and then we looked at my X-Rays to pinpoint exactly where the issues are occurring. Everyone here is super nice - the kind of place where they'll remember your name every time you come in. I would definitely suggest going here because it's more than just adjustments and back-cracking. I'm very glad I chose this office to do my treatment. read more

I've been going to Coyote Chiropractic for the past 2 years or so, and love them! The entire staff has always been extremely friendly, professional, and courteous with me. I've primarily worked with Dr. Merchant for my chiro care, and he's awesome! And then there's the massage therapists........ Amanda & Eric. OMG! They rock! Seriously.... I've been going to Dr. Gross @ Coyote for about 3 or 4 years now and I always look forward to my appointments - I always feel amazing when I leave. I was referred to Dr. Gross by a friend and started going to their Downtown location, that is no longer open, and because he and the rest of the staff (especially Eric the massage therapist), I drive from my work Downtown to Tempe for my appointment. I live in North Phoenix and still drive down to Tempe for my appointments if I need to go from home. There are plenty of Chiros pretty much everywhere, but Coyote is the BEST and that's why its worth the trip. The office is very nice, the staff is great - they always remember you and address you by name - even when you call to schedule an appt. and I've never had to wait -ever. I've never seen other patients have to wait either (another review said this was the case - and I'm 100% positive that it was an anomaly). I've used their services as several different work events I put on where they bring out their chair massages and they are always professional, on time, and everyone walks away with a smile and feeling great. dr merchant is unbelievable!!! he does such an amazing job, not only he just helped my shoulder and neck but he truly cares for his clients. He goes the extra mile and finds a solution if he can't in his power. Dr Gross and Dr Merchant are AWESOME! I love this place!! Their staff is extremely friendly and caring. Not only do they always welcome you, the use your name each and every time. This personal touch makes all the difference. Even my regular Dr doesn't take this much care when I visit his office and he charges my insurance a ton! They also very accommodating,even when I missed an appointment or showed up early they have found a way to get me in every time. The 10 minute massages given by Eric and Amanda prior to my adjustments are the best! It helps to loosen you up for the actual adjustment. They are kind and give the best massages! I love the water table too! The heat and jet pressure are a great way to get you relaxed prior to the adjustment. Their pricing is very reasonable, and they do not over bill the insurance company. My initial exam included x-rays which are priceless when going to a chiropractor. They go over these with you and offer a plan to help you not just random adjustments in hopes to help. had an online coupon for an hour long massage here. was a bit disappointed. as my massage therapist finished and exited the room, i glanced at the clock...5:23pm. my massage didn't start until 4:45pm. which basically meant i received a 38 minute massage, but paid for a 60 minute. i'm not sure if he was keeping tabs or if the headphones he was wearing threw off his concentration, but he neglected my whole right arm, and kept kneading and coming back to the right side of my neck and shoulder. i'm no masseuse, but i have had a couple 100 massages and they usually keep things pretty symmetrical. one positive: unlike most chiropractic businesses, they did not try to sell or convince me to have a checkup from the doctor. i did appreciate that. overall though, felt like i was jipped. read more

My experience here was sort of mixed. Mostly not too bad. I would recommend to the folks that they get a full or part time office staff / receptionist type though. The doctor and the massage therapist had to spend a lot of time fending off the phones. The massage therapist Eric was super amazing. I would go to him but I have a membership for a few months to another place, so i will consider him then, but not sure if they have a membership deal. I don't really need chiropractor but had my back checked by the doctor here. The xrays had to be done out of office so that was inconvenient and didn't go well. I have found out what I do need to know about my back and healing though except for the lower back still has unexplained pain. I guess it is probably from my middle back and just radiating down. It's not treatable via chiroprator so I am proceeding with my treatment elsehwere. I mostly liked the office but they could really use help office help and a working xray machine. read more

I used Coyote Chiropractic a few years ago, and returned in 2010 for some other problems. I was having persistent pain for over six months and returned for some help. In the first visit they said I would need multiple visits to help, but they were sure they could help me. In my second and third visit I was completely blown off for some prospective new patients who stopped by. After the third visit the doc asked I had more pain and my response was "no, its the same as it was last vist" (which was not good). He didn't look at my file and said he would see me agai in a few weeks for a follow up. It was at this time that I realized that this was more of a business than anything else. They weren't really concerned about the patients, they were concerned about making money. Since then I have been going to a new chiropractor who has really spent time with me and helped me through my treatmets. Now I am pain free... no big thanks to Coyote Chiropractic!! read more

I have been going to Coyote for years. The Drs are great. Like others have said they are friendly and the staff knows who you are. They remember the casual conversations; the small details you talk about when having a conversation. You know, the stuff that doesn't get documented in your chart, so you know they have really remembered it. Eric is great. I have been recommending Eric for years! He is spectacular. I sent my mom to Eric for a shoulder problem ONE time and she has never complained about the problem since. I read a previous review that says he forgot one arm, which I have NEVER experienced. I have never been shorted on my time. NEVER. Eric knows what he is doing! He is friendly and professional. I have gone to other places for "deep tissue massages" and been disappointed. Once I tell Eric what mood I am in for pressure he does it. I love him and would never go anywhere else. In fact, when someone tells me they want to get me a massage for a birthday or give me a birthday gift, I tell them I will not accept anything other than a gift certificate to Coyote. I have even tried getting a massage while at various vacation spots and been disappointed. I can honestly say, Eric is the BEST IN THE WORLD!! read more

Chiropractors tend to have a reputaiton of suggesting you have to come in 3 times a week for life....okay, maybe an embellishment....but Dr. merchant works with the goal that you come in as you need to and work towards feeling good without visits. Of course Eric does an awesome job of getting the tight muscles loose before the doc does his adjustments. Definitely worth trying if you are having back or neck pain or tightness. read more
