Great course...greens were lightening fast! The course seemed to be in really great shape.

The staff are nice but the pace of play was ridiculous. They said it would a little slow but 3 hours to play 9? I left and did not finish. Rangers were not moving groups along. I know it can be that way sometimes but come on. Facilities were nice, food was ok. The course itself was just ok. Greens very slow...all in all, it was a municipal that was way way over priced..Will not return. read more

Nice course and club house, friendly staff. Excellent pro shop and good food and bar. Sam Moon bought the Club in 2005, made a lot of upgrades etc. Was one of the nicest public DFW courses. 20 years later it's showing its age, fairways in poor condition, cart paths and bridges falling apart. Some repairs underway but needs a lot of work to get back to a top 10 public course. $120 per round a bit high, but all North Texas public courses are expensive on weekends. We will be back in a few months to see how the maintenance and repairs have improved the course. read more

The good is very good . A lot of golf courses don't drop their fees when they punch the greens or tell customers but Coyote does and that' is honorable. The grill is also amazing food. The bad. For whatever reason the Suoerintendent placed pins on 7&17 on Aug12 in illegals spots not a chance of stopping a putt, even if you're Scheffler. That's not cool. Also their carts suck. No one told us 18 Fairway was off limits and carts lock. They lock all the time and you have to reverse at 1mph which slows up play and is very annoying. $90 wihtout range balls is also a bit much for this course. I give them a C Grade. read more

This place is trash for the price, greens keepers don't have any pride in their course. Big tire marks on fairways, divots everywhere, no flat tee boxes that were eroding, I play a few times a week and could think of 20 cheaper courses that are in better condition. Good spot for a happy hour away from the crowds in a week night. Thursday night we visited for a little drink and nibble. My friends kept saying "$5, crown and down" not sure what that meant but the drink was delightful and a huge pour. Refreshing drink with a bit of lemon and I guess crown? Try it. It was refreshing! Although it wasn't busy, service was pretty slow. We ordered and I split the salmon salad with a friend, the Parmesan bowl it came in was chewy and stale. The salmon was good but lacked a smidge of flavor, I had to OD on the pepper- the clam chowder was a bit salty. I tried my friends chicken Parmesan and the pasta was bland. Good track with recent updates to the club house and restaurant. Every time I've been here the greens are in great shape. This is one of my favorite public courses outside in DFW. Offers some challenging shots/holes but also has some forgiving holes. You will get better each round you play here. Downside: All of the bunkers are is rough shape. It's robbery charging $90 to play on a weekend when 75% of your bunker shots are unplayable lies. Point being, they should be discounting the rates 15-20% until they get the bunker redone. They have demand so maybe they don't care... In addition, they really need to figure out an efficient method for snacks, hot food and drinks at the turn. It shouldn't take over 10 minutes to get a hotdog and a few drinks. This has been the case the last three times I've been here. You almost feel ignored by the bartenders/waiters. It's an easy fix... Overall, Coyote Ridge is a good track and I would recommend to any type of golfer. I hope they can improve on the items I've mentioned. read more

The price for this course is criminal. $200 for 2 people to play golf is ridiculous considering we also got paired with a solo. If I'm paying top dollar, I don't want to be paired up with someone random. Pace of play is also horrible, especially on the back 9. They book way too many tee times. Coming from Phoenix, AZ I wasn't sure what to expect from Coyote Ridge GC! I can tell you that facility and range was very nice! Playing for the first time, from the tips as a 9 handicap, the course kicked my behind. The 18 holes were very pretty and well taken care of aside from a few ultra muddy dirt areas, maybe a handful of them on the fairways. While there were many difficult holes, there were also plenty of straight-forward holes. Coyote Ridge was $100 on a beautiful 80 degrees day. And was worth it! read more

This place had me excited when I pulled up to the club house. Building is nice and the practice area looked good from a distance but just get ready to pay $100 for a sub par golf course. It's in terrible shape and they are doing construction all over the place you would think they would offer a discount. Greens are dry as can be and most tee boxes were awful. Great golf club and with the upgrade of the restaurant, club house, and the additional work on the course this is indeed great value. The club is moving in the direction to become a private club, it has great potential to offer wonderful amenities. My boyfriend and I played here last week. The clubhouse was closed due to the freeze, but they had food available. The course was in great shape and I loved the layout. However, the bunkers were awful! There were tarps sticking out all over and very little sand in them. Very dangerous. Also, there was no drinking water on the course! What course in Texas in June doesn't have water?? I have never seen that. It was in the high 90's and I almost passed out. They also need to trim under the trees. We wasted a lot of time searching for balls. If they fixed these things it could be a great course read more

Really loved playing here last week. The club house is really really nice and got me excited to play my round. It was super hot but the course was in fantastic condition. The course is pretty challenging, but fair. I played really really badly but I think it was mostly because I chose to wear pants on such a hot and humid day. My mistake for sure. I'm pretty sure I would've enjoyed myself more if I wasn't shedding 2lbs of water weight per hole. The course conditions were top notch, however the greens were recently punched and it would've been nice to have gotten a heads up when we booked our round. The course was a little more expensive than what we normally play and it was a bit of a bummer that the greens weren't good. Being completely honest tho, the greens weren't the reason for my triple digit score that day! Not really a whole lot to say other than I'll be back for sure! The club house was fantastic, the men's locker room was spotless and comfortable feeling, and the food from the grill was very tasty. The service was okay. Nothing out of the ordinary, which is fine. One thing that was a little irritating was that the greens keepers that day didn't care to wait for my group to play through a hole before tending to the grass between the tee box and the hole. The guys were driving the mower around us without a care in the world while we were hitting our shots into the green. I'm talking they were close enough to where we could've held a conversation if they had stopped their mowers. It was a little irritating because at my skill level I need maximum concentration just to make contact with the ball. Not really a big deal tho to be honest. Glad I was finally able to play here. I was disappointed with the course conditions today. Many traps either filled with gravel or had no sand--unplayable, yet not marked as ground under repair. One hole, #12, closed. No mention of this at check in. Yet, full rack rate charged to play. In addition, course workers left utility/maintenance vehicles unattended 50-75 yards in front of tee boxes. read more

It is amazing how comfortable some courses are charging the prices that they do. Let's start with paying $100 and the guy in the pro shop lets me know Holes 10/11 will be closed, I can play 1/2 again at the end to make a full 18. No big deal. What was not communicated was half the bunkers on the course are just solid rock, no sand. Hole 5 was also under construction, with people filling rock bunkers with sand (mid-day). This also led to many tractors and oversized work vehicles constantly zipping around the course. Not to mention all of the trash throughout the course. If you are going to charge $100 for a round of golf, service your course in the morning or evenings - not during the day when you have people trying to play. Clean up the trash everywhere. Fill your bunkers with sand (an ongoing issue since last year). Do better. Be the great course you are trying to aspire to be. Or don't. But do not charge $100 for a round if you are not. There are far superior courses in DFW for a fraction of this price. An absolute rip-off - do not waste your time or money at this course. Unbelievable. read more

I want to share a complaint about how the maintenance workers for CRGC have let various homeowners upset. Driving down Fairway Drive towards Hebron Parkway if you look on the right there is a muddy mess. It is awful that the homeowners have to deal with this on an daily basis. They the homeowners and everyone that drives has to see this muddy mess. Any standing water is a mosquito factory. Houses that have there backyards facing this is downright wrong. It attracts all kind of wildlife. I read that even a homeowners dog was made not to feel welcome in it own backyard! Take pride in what you have and clean up the mess that u all created. read more

This is a seriously hard course. If you aren't straight off the tee, it is going to be a long day. Greens were coming off aeration when I played it today, but they are in better shape than most. My carts GPS wasn't working, and yeah the clubhouse is undergoing renovations and there was no water except at the turn , but if one can overlook the transitional issues, the course itself is a true test. read more

I have played here many times and will return. It is a pretty course with challenging holes, especially the par 3's. The staff in the grill area are excellent and the food is tasty and well prepared. However, right off the 1st tee, a group of 5 females teed off in front of our twosome. We waited on EVERY hole and they never let us through. We knew that one of the women is the spouse of the course owner. On hole 4 the marshall drove by us as we waited on the tee and said, "I know it's a long day playing behind the ladies" and he just kept driving. Then on the 9th hole tee box, he came back to us and told us that we should try to press them on 10 and 11 and "crowd" them. I told him I thought that was his job, to control pace of play. He looked at us and laughed and went about his business. What the in the world?? So if you see a large group of women teeing off in front of you, go ahead and skip a hole or just see if you can start your tee time later to save yourself considerable aggravation. read more

Played the course 6.18.19. This course was in terrible shape, not only from recent flooding, but the greens specifically. Recent irrigation was done on the greens which not only made them wet and sandy, but also riddled with holes every 2 inches. In all honesty the course should not have been open, let alone charge full price of $62 to play. Will not be coming back until I confirm with friends that it is playable again. read more

Played here a month ago.. and I can't share any of the same sentiments as Andrew. There was no stench to speak of.. and I found the course to have some good elevation change and was well maintained. The front 9 and back 9 are very different.. the front being more open and the back 9 being tight and hugging hills and creeks. Also, the staff seemed friendly enough.. and their clubhouse was really nice. This is one of my top 5 courses in Dallas in the $50 to $80 range... probably behind Tierra Verde, Texas Star, Bridlewood, and Tangle Ridge. read more

It's been awhile since I've been back here. Today I was pleasantly surprised to see the course in absolutely pristine condition. The greens were perfect and the fairways a pleasure to play on. Mother Nature even stepped in with a perfect day with no wind. I'm glad to see that the GPS units still work and are easy way to keep score. Most of the other courses in town have very shabby GPS in their carts if at all. The pro shop has a great selection of apparel and accessories. Even found some good deals Ina few items. The restaurant is has a great staff and the food is better than most restaurants and blows away the usual hotdog or burger at most places. I need to get back soon to take another crack at this challenging course while its at its very best. read more

This is a beautiful course with some of the best greens I've seen in Dallas. That said, they need to Marshall the course. You show up and there's a gaggle of guys working the bag drop area - they'll run out to the parking lot if you do t drop your bag curb side, which is nice for some - not me I take a few minutes to get my gear ready and don't mind carrying my own stuff. They should redirect some If this staff to keeping the groups moving out on the course. There's also some signage around the practice putting greens saying something like "pay first then practice" or something like that.. I'll definitely give them another try but if the pace co tiniest I be what I just experienced my next round will be my last at Coyote Ridge. read more

My only experience was attending my daughter's wedding at Coyote Ridge....and I was very much impressed with this venue! WOW!! Very classy, nice! Friendly staff...and the golfers seem to enjoy the fact that a wedding was about to take place. I can assume that they prepared the food here ...in their own kitchen..it was GREAT! read more

I played here earlier in the year and the greens were awesome. I think due to the heat, they were slower this time around but still good. Hot rate BEWARE. If you find a hot deal, better call the course first to understand why. I was not told upon check in that the back nine has been flooded and I'd have to play the front nine twice. Total let down because I really enjoy the back nine. This back nine is flooded regularly due to run off from Lewisville Lake. That's the main reason why I haven't joined as a member. read more

I've been to CR a few times now & it's always great. We had an alumni golf tournament there today & I thought the event was serviced perfectly. I was only of the first to arrive & the friendly staff leaders introduced themselves. Kudos to Stephanie who did an outstanding job. That young lady has great interpersonal skills & should be promoted. read more

On 9/16/16, I went to Texas, to visit a friend and, under the guidance from some of his friends, we decided to try out this golf course. Upon arrival we parked the car and went to check in at the pro shop. Upon dropping our clubs at the bag drop we walked about 100 yards to the pro shop to pay for our round and within about 10 minutes we returned outside to find our clubs had been stolen. The young man outside placing clubs on the carts said he watched the guy take our clubs, throw them into the back of a truck and take off. Though the club has a private parking lot and video cameras on the premises, the criminals were able to leave with our clubs without incident. We filled out a police report and the golf pro Justin came over to us and expressed his disbelief and apologized for the situation, assuring us that this has never happened before. The GM Mandy Bredeweg, briefly stopped by and gave us a business card and apologized and walked off. She did say she would get back to us once she had an opportunity to review the video. She never made it back to us and when my friend and I called her over the next couple of weeks she responded to one or two of my friends calls and then was not returning phone calls to help us figure out a course of action. She did give my friend a refund on the course fees that he paid for but that happened after he called her and after a couple of days. That should have happened the day of the incident. Though, my friend is average height and plays with hybrid clubs he can buy off the shelf, I am taller and have to have special made clubs, about 1.5" longer. Justin offered us a couple of sets of clubs, balls, tees and gloves to play a round, after some prodding from us saying we still wanted to play, while we were still there.After the round, the guy who helped us check in at the pro shop, offered us a dinner at the club restaurant for us and our wives for that evening as a way to make up for the situation. I applaud him and his efforts to smooth over a very bad situation. We declined since we had other plans. The reason for the low rating is more about the way the GM Mandy Bredeweg handled this situation and continues to handle it by not returning phone calls and offering no solution to an already bad situation. Though it was not her fault, she offered nothing from a customer service stand point. I was and am very disappointed in this club and I cannot recommend this course because if anything bad happens at the club, I don't believe any positive resolution would come about. On the bright side, the golf course was in really good shape for mid September and it played very well. Though we played with borrowed clubs, etc, we, for the most part, had a decent time. read more

I've always wanted to play Coyote Ridge. Not sure why, but it's one of the few courses I haven't played in DFW. Played a round last week and at first glance, I was impressed. Pulling into parking lot, walking through club house and restaurant was very exciting. Surely the course would match the facilities right? Negative. Greens were going through same seasonal maintenance as all the other courses in the area and these were the worst. Fairways and tee boxes were dry and mostly brown. Not sure if irrigation is the problem or the crew. Not worth paying over $45 for a round here. At least for now. Will edit post next time I play. read more
