I am trying to understand the issue with this store. As a new golfer, I have had no issues when coming here. Atmosphere/Ambiance - 5/5 - HUGE location with pretty much everything for golf. There are bays where you can hit golf bays and test out many, many clubs. If you do club fittings, they will apply that price to your purchase. There are also different tiers of memberships as well. Just a heads up, but their website also has items that they might not carry in store. Staff - 5/5 - Friendly and helpful. They were able to answer pretty much all of my golf questions. I see other reviews and I was planning on doing my club fitting here, but maybe I should go to a different location? Overall, the few times that I have been here, I have not had any major issues, but perhaps as I go more often, I might need to update this review at a later date. read more

I can agree with a lot of the other low rated reviews as the customer service here was just terrible. I wanted to try and go to the fitting bays and see if i could try some new clubs as i'm wanting to make a switch. It was my mistake for using the word "practice" when i mentioned new clubs as this older guy told me at the fitting bays, "these are not for practice swings and for serious buyers etc.". At this point i was just done and left the store as the entire interaction was just rude and unwelcoming. The couple seconds that i met this guy i immediately didn't want to deal with his attitude, im not sure if its because i am a younger guy that he treated me this way, but its unacceptable. read more

Service was rude and pretty much non-existent. Just needed to ask a question about a wedge and was impossible to get anyone to help me and when I did he said he didn't have time to help me. That was it. Did not direct me to someone else or anything. I finally found another person and he didn't know anything about golf. Was nice but I was needing help with golf. I'd highly recommend this PGA Tour Superstore. Great service and outstanding staff. One of the best and most knowledgeable members that helped my daughter is Ty Belford (Studio Fitting Specialis). He is super to work with and knows his craft. He helped my daughter shave off 12-15 strokes on her golf score. Im not sure theres any other person who is more kind, honest, and super dedicated to being helpful with golf than this gentleman. We had him custom fit my daughter recently for a driver and putter. We just recently a couple days ago went back to him & had him fit her for new irons the PING G440. Everything was as smooth and perfect as it gets. We're very satisfied with his help and will be back to get his opinion with anything Golf. Thank you so much for helping my daughter Ty. "I don't fuckin' know" Went in with my buddy who is a lefty player, looking for a glove for him. We searched every brand and row of gloves available, and didn't find a single Right-Handed glove. So we went to the front to ask the cashier if they had any right handed gloves and were responded to with "I don't fuckin' know, we should have a shit ton." I responded with "that's what we thought, too but didn't see any over there" and pointed at the glove section. To which he responded, "I mean I don't know man, if we have any they're over there" and gave a shrug, shook his head and turned around. Do you guys not monitor inventory? Came in with my fiancé to get him a set of clubs for Christmas, he was looking at some used ones and when we looked online there was a brand new set of new clubs for maybe $100 more... the staff were not willing to be helpful at all and never even mentioned that he could get a new set for a little more. We felt very unwelcome there and everyone was just snobby, so we went to the Plano PGA store off 75 and got him the brand new clubs!! Don't waste your time at this location! This place has everything you could need for golfing. I love coming here to pick up gifts for my husband. I love the mix of bright colors they have in golf shirts. They have a sale before every holiday. They typically run from $10-40 off clothing items. The only problem this place has is the checkout counter. I am recently retired and wanted to see about playing golf as I had not hit a ball in 10 years and my very athletic daughter age 23 was interested in playing. I went to the PGA store to see about some lessons for my daughter and some analysis for myself. I walked into the store and after taking 5 minutes to figure out the door to the analysis center was a sliding glass door. The stunted worker inside just watched offering no help what so ever. Once I got inside I told him that I was trying to get back into golf and my 23 year old daughter was interested in some lessons. He told me to move on to the other tunnels. I asked him what this place was. He said this is by appointment only. And I said that is what I am trying to do is make an appointment but thanks for being so helpful. I have golfed all over the world since I was 6 years old. My daughter is extremely athletic in competing sports. These kind of snotty napoleanistic unconfident wanna be elitists are what gives golf a bad name and is contributing to its slow demise. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Southlake, TX! STAY AWAY! First, dropped off clubs to get regripped - all of them - spent $180. The lady that took the clubs in couldn't have been ruder! I get the clubs back - FLITHY! No courtesy. Play around at a muni corse, and they got a kid washing clubs after the round. THE PGA STORE DOES NOTHING! Even the new grips were dirty. Horrible. He was friendly and patient and made my fitting session one of the most productive I have ever had. He got me 20 more yards out of my drives. He is now my go-to guy for club advice. read more

The "manager in training" used an old counterfeit detector pen on two of my hundred dollar bills and claimed that the money I was using was counterfeit, and that the Benjamin Franklin is sleeping. The place has everything you need from golf attire, clubs, shoes, etc. I was looking to get started into golfing and was looking for someone to help with custom clubs and everything. The only (big) issue was - there was no one available for nearly an hour. I asked whoever was working to help and the response was always "the guy - he's on his way". I am not sure if he was helping other customers or busy with a task, but a simple acknowledgement would have sufficed or come back another time. Went in the second time and got a different fitter, figured it was the person/bad day the first time original experience was buying a low spin driver with the fitter essentially saying that every club would be fine and not actually helping me or having me play the different stock shafts to choose the right one. I had to ask him for loft adjustments and weight placements as opposed to getting helpful recommendations to adjust the backspin or draw/fade bias. Ended up spending 550 on a driver I had to fit myself for after the fact. I play it on a different lie Angle and loft setting from what I was fitted, with very consistent results. my experience today was more of the same, looking for a 3 wood/hybrid and possibly both, the guy just put 3 clubs in front of me and I had to basically pull the clubs from his hands to try out other ones. I told him I was a high spin player and I knew that, so I was looking for something with lower loft and lower spin. to which the answer was essentially take lessons. I realize I'm not the best golfer bur I'm not incompetent and I know the launch conditions I want to get as close as possible to. ended up hitting 80 shots and had decided on a rescue and was just making decisions on the last 3 3 woods to see which I was gonna take home. The fitter told me I was taking too long and that I've hit too many balls. I hit 80 shots to fit mt driver and that's more or less what it takes for me to feel the nuances of the different faces. I don't recommend coming here unless you want a subpar fitting with lazy fitters. If I am buying $1400 worth of clubs in 2 weeks I expect better service than that. Will go elsewhere to buy clubs from now on. Would like to add at the end, I am a tennis pro and run a junior program, I do fittings for rackets and have a very good feel for the balances of rackets and clubs. I realize not everyone is going to be as well versed in their field and equipment as I am in tennis, but if I know a player is looking for a specific strike and result I can recommend rackets based on swing path and spin production. It feels like at the very least the fitters should be able to recommend certain clubs to lower spin and clean up ball flight. read more

Went in to hit balls in a swing bay, registered. Paid for the $99 unlimited annual pass then was told we are busy you can only have 20 min. I asked the man in front of us you just told him he is good for an hour. I now know when you show up with a junior golfer they don't treat you the same. They placed us in a bay that continued to have problems with the cameras. The employee Jim was a grump he said our mouse was broken and he tried to reboot the computer and then walked away. Leaving my son only 12 minutes to swing from his original 20 should of been 30. I had to complain that's it terrible as there were 2 other right handed bays wide open next to us. Employees looking at their phones while working and watching the clock to leave ruins a business. Their needs to be some positive management training out in place. read more

The guys working the hitting bays are GREAT. They will talk to you but will not pressure you into buying. The guy who builds clubs and wears the grinding face shield is AWESOME. He went out of his way to find me a putter, even when he was very busy. Now for the 3 stars. Bought a pre owned driver, that didn't have a headcover or adjustment tool. Asked the manager? Robert is this was the best deal possible? He wouldn't budge on the $299.99 . A BRAND NEW COBRA SZ online is $300.00. Everyone knows when you trade in a club you get bottom dollar so they can jack the tag up to make a profit. To say, there's no wiggle room on a USED driver, WITHOUT a head cover, and WITHOUT an adjustment tool just made my future decisions to purchase everything online that much easier. If you're a golf fanatic, this is the place for you. To put it in perspective, think Best Buy meets golf (and some tennis stuff). Anyting and everything one could ever want (and then some) can be found here. I actually think if it's golf related and cannot be found here it doesn't exist. I can easily spend hours in here looking for deals, trying new clubs, etc. The store is laid out in a way that I rarely need help finding things. And on those occasions that I do need help, it's been fairly easy to locate someone. And the staff is always friendly and helpful. Most of my purchases have been for clothing (shirts, pants, shorts, shoes, etc) and accessories (gloves, tees, balls, etc). I have yet to purchase any clubs from here (I'm due for a new putter in the near future). Based on what I have purchased, their prices are on par with most other golf shops. They seem to always have a clearance section that has decent selection of items discounted up to 75% off. Lastly, I recommend joining their mailing list as they often have 'private sales' and/or provide coupons for an additional savings. read more

What happened? Maybe the store was having a bad day due to the virus? I get that we're going through some troubling times right now but the vibe at the PGA store has really declined. I visited two in the same day and I'm two starring both locations. We shopped here last weekend looking for a set of clubs. We originally hit up the PGA store in Southlake and that was an unpleasant experience too. See my review. I used to love going to the PGA store. It was my happy place back around 2012. Now it feels like any other big box golf store where they don't care about making an impression. Either they've become so successful that they know they can stop caring, or their business isn't doing too great so they figure they can stop caring. Two stars because the inventory is stellar. The clubs we were looking for in Southlake were in stock here and the gigantic putting green is still fun to play around in. Here's where things went south for me. I was walking through an aisle looking at shiny new drivers and was kinda bummed that their selection of left handed drivers was pretty limited. No big deal. Playing lefty has forced me to shop online my entire golfing life. I watched another customer approach one of the associates with two clubs in his hand, asking for some help. The associate was an older guy, and legit could not be bothered to take a moment to tend to this customer. He was so rude and actually put his hand up to stop the customer mid sentence. The guy with the clubs asked if there was any way he could get some more info about the clubs and if he could use one of the simulator bays to try them out. The sales associate cut him off mid sentence again and told him that they only do things like that by appointment. Are you kidding me? "Things like that?" You only talk to customers with clubs in their hands by appointment? The guy with the clubs looked at me with the same confused expression I had under my mask and couldn't even respond to the sales associate because the guy was already walking off. Whether or not he was going to buy anything doesn't matter. Salesmanship is about tending to your business' clientele properly. Using the simulator bays is really by appointment now? I remember going to the pga store back in the day and marveling at being able to try out the simulators. I remember hanging out with several super nice sales associates back in the day and they would give me impromptu swing lessons and just chatted with me about their experience with the game. This type of experience was so common back then and really my number one reason for making the 45 minute drive from my house to the PGA store just to browse and purchase random golf stuff that I didn't even need. But now unfortunately it seems good customer service is by appointment only. Then, to top things off when we went to pay for my friends clubs, the cashier seemed reluctant to price match. It's matching a 10% discount that Dick's was offering. Is it really something we need to go back and forth on? She called a manager over, who quickly agreed to the price match as soon as we said the Southlake store agreed to it. So if the other store hadn't made the decision first we would've been denied the price matching? What are the rules on price matching competitors then? Super disappointing. I'm sure I'll find myself at the PGA store again, but I'm probably gonna avoid this location and Southlake if possible. read more

Since I'm a women I prefer to buy my golf gear from a women who knows the game and can give me honest input about the products for sale. I came here for lessons and golf shoes and every time I asked one of the ladies a question they were: 1. Super cool type of personalities 2. Fun 3. Knowledgeable 4. Could play the game he heck of allot better then I could, and not to toot my own horn but I'm not to shabby. I have shopped here several times for their great selection of golf attire and gear. However, today I purchased a new set of irons from the Superstore. Ray was a tremendous help in not only confirming which set would be the best fit (Callaway or Ping), but also spent time with me while I tried them out. He also provided a few tips for my swing . . . . which somehow yielded immediate results! If you need new clubs and are seeking some advice, ask for Ray. I guess you can say I'm a regular here. They have an excellent selection here, whether for golf or tennis. Women, men, kids, they have it all. The process for getting fit for clubs is quick and painless. The staff here are into the game and always provide input on the latest golf equipment. Clubs sell for retail prices usually, but always be on the lookout for the sales of outgoing models. The selection for kids' clubs is very good as well. My son loves coming to this store so I don't feel guilty spending hours here when with him. The driving range simulators are free to use with the demo clubs. But if you want to hit a club that doesn't have a demo model, you can just inform the staff and they'll tape it up and let you hit with it. One other thing about the demo clubs: they will let you "check out" demo clubs for a couple days so you can try them out on the course. I did this when I was in the market for a new driver. I must have checked out 8 or so different drivers until I finally decided on one. read more

True story: My uncle once spent two hours here trying pretty much every putter on the rack before determining which one he wanted. He brought it to the register, and it cost $19.99. My aunt and uncle from McKinney had told me about this place before I visited from Boston, and I'm very glad I got the opportunity to visit. I picked up a new glove and a big bag of 100 tees for a total of about $13, which is better than almost anywhere I can shop in Massachusetts for golf equipment. There are lots of reasons to like this store. One of my favorite bits was where you could demo clubs with a golf simulator. I demoed the newest model Ping driver with the S shaft. The simulator was surprisingly accurate - it told me I carried 244 yards and had a total drive of 253. (That's about what I can hit on the golf course when I hit well.) They also have a rather large putting green area and sand bunker. Additionally, there's an indoor driving range, but I didn't spend any time looking at it. They also sell tennis equipment and clothing, but I didn't partake. I would definitely visit this store again if I lived in the Dallas area. Alas, they are not opening any in the Northeast anytime soon. Definitely stop in if you're in the suburbs of Dallas and you like golf! read more
