I felt bad for my waitress because other servers got larger parties all around me, and she got poor lonely me. She was very pleasant and responded politely to my broken Spanish. She was the highlight of my visit. The top shelf margarita was really good, though pricey at over $20. The chimichanga, however, while relatively cheap (like $12-13) was only so-so. There was the typical free salsa and chips (which thank GOD had little to no cilantro) I'm in town on business or I'd come back and try something else like the carnitas, but as it stands I'll have to stick with this review that it was good but not great. read more

Nice Mexican restaurant that seems to always have a crowd! We had no problems parking and were able to be seated immediately. Service was quick even when they were very busy. We received chips and salsa upon arrival and the salsa was seasoned well. I love to try chili rellenos and loved the one here! The queso was also a good consistency. The first basket of chips we received were a cold but the second basket were hot and crispy. There was a miscommunication on the margarita order - I accidentally received a frozen mango margarita instead of a rainbow margarita. I was not a fan of the frozen mango, but I was able to swap it out for a lime margarita on the rocks which was delicious. Overall the staff were attentive and friendly. Ventured to Cozumel this weekend for some authentic Mexican food. Always fresh, always hot, always fast. Fajita Taco Salad with shrimp was my entree. It came in a tortilla bowl and was very filling. Poured the salsa from our complimentary chips on top and it was on fire! Our server was attentive. My wife and I enjoy the oversized booths so we can sit next to each other and hold hands. read more

They have some really great values on the lunch menu here! This Mexican joint is near the Burris Farm Market and it is a good spot to stop for a meal when in between the beach and the interstate. The food is actually some of the best Mexican food I've had in the area. The service here has been consistently good during my visits. I really, really like this restaurant. The staff are so friendly, and the wait is usually short (or justified when they're visibly busy). I love the chicken and cheese quesadillas, the nachos, the burritos, the fajitas, and going just last night has me loving their shredded chicken tacos for Taco Tuesday too. Their salsa is delicious, and their queso dip is like liquid gold. However, I did notice last night that the Mucho Grande Burrito is far larger than any I've ever gotten before when I've called ahead. During the pandemic shutdown, when all you could get were orders to-go, the burrito was in a to-go container of course. But the difference in size when you order in-house compared to what I've gotten in a container made me think I was being ripped off all those times before. Don't get me wrong- the food is fantastic, the service is wonderful, and the prices are great! I now know what the Mucho Grande Burrito is supposed to look like, and it'll make me never order one to-go again-- not when I can get a burrito the size of a small child at the restaurant! read more

We kept passing this place when out riding and decided it was time to stop and try it. The service was excellent and so was the food I had a shrimp chimichanga It was prepared well and served with rice and beans. The atmosphere was typical of a Mexican restaurant with televisions placed throughout. It was quite intimate and they offer booth or table seating If you visit the restroom it is one room and there is a window covered by a sparse window blind and you can hear people talking .... Just a FYI in case you are shy Overall it was a good dinner and we would eat here again! read more

We enjoyed this place. The service was attentive and the staff was friendly and courteous. The food was good Tex Mex and I enjoyed my Beef Burrito Supreme. It was large and I barely ate half. It included sour cream and guacamole alongside the burrito that was covered with burrito sauce. There is a selection of tacos, burritos and enchiladas with beans and rice. Decent Mexican food. Not the best I've had but not bad either. My husband and I both got the fajitas. Large amount of chicken/steak with onions and peppers. We had lots of leftovers. My issue was that it had way too much oil. I guess some people might like that. I was excited to see it came with refried beans which I love but I did not love theirs. They tasted like they came from a can. So disappointed. Drinks were huge. Free chips and salsa. Salsa was OK. The fajitas came with a little bit of guacamole which tasted fresh and was really good. Wish I had gotten a whole dish of that. Fortunately the hubby doesn't like guacamole so I ate his. Overall, not bad. I'd come back and try something else on the menu. Not much curb appeal however that being said I still give them 5 stars for very reasonable prices and good food and service. After a long day of travel we wanted a good meal and cocktails. We both ordered the house margarita, delicious, it had an assortment of fresh fruit and real juice as the mixer. Honestly the best margarita I've had yet. My husband got the beef enchiladas and I had shrimp with chipotle garlic sauce. We both enjoyed our meals. Everything was cooked to perfection. What impressed me most was the quality of the ingredients. It's refreshing to have fresh pico and lettuce salad as an accompaniment to what is normally a heavy meal. This place is so good! There is flavor in their food. No boring soup. The broth alone was delish! Margarita on the rocks didnt taste like those cheap sweet and sours. You can tell they added orange to it to level the flavor of the lemon and lime. Cheese dip was perfect and the salsa made me tastebuds dance the "Salsa." We will always stop here when we are in Loxley. read more

The best part of this lunch experience (yesterday) was leaving. Started with being seated in the back, by myself, under an old a/c unit or something. They said that they needed the tables for their lunch crowd. They were never more than one-third full! The lunch menu was lame so I had the daily lunch special - tacos. Generic, at best. Taco Bell's are as good on quantity of ingredients, and better on quality. I can see why they never filled up those tables. I certainly won't be back. read more

If your wanting good Mexican food this is a good place to go. We are regulars here for lunch because it's one of the closest restaurants to our office, but the food is good. The owners are servers and that means that the service is good as well. It gets pretty busy for dinner from about 5-7 pm on the weekends. They have tables, booths and a bar. The atmosphere isn't as nice as some other Mexican restaurants around town but they have been working on that, they've added on three times since they opened. This is by far the BEST Mexican restaurant in the area that my husband and I have tried and we've tried pretty much all of them. Their seafood enchiladas are literally AMAZING!!! Our "party" of 3 visited here on Saturday, April 22, 2023. To say that this was the absolute worst "mexican" restaurant that we have ever patronized is an understatement. Server was very inattentive. Husbands food was bland, my granddaughter said hers was fine but mine was oddly gross. My chicken nachos had sautéed peppers and onions (who does this?), the bigger pieces of chicken were not cooked through, there was no flavor....not even the jalapenos! There was a thin layer of cheese UNDER the stale chips. There was a mound of lettuce and no tomatoes. It was worse than sub-par to be $45! We asked the server 3 times for a water refill. We were ignored the first time, the 2nd time we received a to go plate, and the 3rd time she brought the check! :) Never received a refill of water. Never again. Never. Even Taco Bell has better food than what you will get at this place. read more

My least favorite Mexican place ever. The chips and salsa and chicken tacos were fine but most of the food is extremely average and flavorless. The beef leaks so much highlighter colored orange liquid that it's actually impressive. The waitress seemed to care less about her job and kept leaving us stranded at the table, for example, saying she's going to get the check, coming back 15 minutes later, going to run the card, coming back 10 minutes later. We have been to Cozumel three times in the last three weeks! What does that tell you? Our last visit was on Friday night with a party of seven. We had a great time! our server's name was Victor and he did a great job. As for food, just pick a product and I believe it will come out hot, fresh and delicious. The items we ordered range from enchiladas, tacos, quesadillas, fajitas and tamales to Margaritas (frozen and over ice w/ salt on rim) and Long Island Iced Tea for the adults at our table. We arrived at 6pm and left at 8pm with an abundance of eating, sipping, conversation and laughter in-between. A great evening! read more

We had eaten at a different Mexican restaurant in loxley previously and had a very bad experience. We were told that Cozumel was a good restaurant to eat at in Loxley. We didn't make a mistake today!
