Terrible company. They had canceled on me when I was in a foreign country at the last minute because the chef was sick. I scheduled something with them in Boston and had an emergency and had to fly home early. I contacted them in advance and they would not refund or give a credit or anything. I guess it's OK for them to leave you stranded and cancel on you, but if you have an emergency, they don't care. They had plenty of notice and could have gotten someone to fill our places or offered a credit, but they chose to do nothing. Awful people. I also contacted the chef who wasn't very nice either. I kept getting reminders about the dinner after I canceled as well. I will never use cozy meal again after these two experiences. Save your money. read more

We had a wonderful evening with Chef Harold. Delicious ramen and dumplings prepared before us with explanations on his methods and considerable technique. He shared interesting discussions about cooking in Boston at the prestigious kitchens where he worked. He was efficient and flexible- we had just put in an induction stove so he need to use our pots and still everything was delicious. We loved to repeat an evening focusing on his other specialties especially sushi where his classes are legendary. My granddaughter in New York turned 10 and because she loves to cook I bought a gift certificate for her to have this virtual baking lesson. She loves macarons and so we decided to go with that one. I also purchased a gift certificate for myself to be able to do the class with her. It was very easy to sign up. They offered dates that were just a week apart from when we booked it. And it was just very simple and easy to do. We were sent an ingredients list along with a list of preparation tasks that we needed to do ahead of time. We signed in for our classes. I was in Rhode Island and Joanna was in Brooklyn, New York with her mom. There were three other families from all around the country who were on the zoom call in the class. It was very fun and it was very easy. The oerson who led the class, Chef Lisa, was delightful. She made the class fun and interesting and very personal. She would have us mute ourselves but then would check in on us after every step of the way. The macaron recipe and technique for baking is very complicated so we certainly needed her help. She guided us through without laughing which must've been difficult because my daughter and I made some crazy mistakes. But she was gracious and very interesting and she explained what we were doing and why. We went through the directions quickly with her and then she went step-by-step with us. The price was extremely reasonable for what we got. Chef Lisa stayed online with us until we were done even though it was over the time that we had paid for. She did tell us right away that she would stay more than what was required because she wanted to make sure that we got what we were looking for and we're happy with our product. We were very happy with our products in the end. They weren't the prettiest macarons that we had ever seen but they were delicious. I would highly recommend this class in particular and the company in general. They made this birthday gift a fun and exciting experience and something that we could share from many miles away. read more

I was looking online for a local cooking class to gift my boyfriend, and I came across cozy meals. He is gluten-free, and I was able to find a chocolate tutorial class with chef Lisa. I am so glad I purchased this class! Lisa was very responsive prior to the class. Giving me details about parking, directions, and very accomadating with food allergies. The class took place at her home, where she supplied all of the ingredients and equipment. She had such a warm, cozy space that it felt like we were at a close friend's house! Lisa was so friendly and welcoming. Super informative about what we were going to be doing and helped us along the way. She was supportive and thoughtful but kept the class really fun! Ozzy was friendly, respectful, and clean but this was actually not a good meal at all. Would not recommend even for 10% the price. For the price it was a complete rip off. Salad - terrible dressing and there wasn't anything thing in it besides arugula and Parmesan. Pasta- extremely salty. To a degree we did not want to eat after 2 bites. I don't know how he fit so much salt on this dish without it piling up on my plate. Steak - this dish was 7/10. Cooked very well, great presentation, over seasoned and too salty Dessert - pretty good but the cake was dry. For the price we though this was an outrageous rip off and I would not recommend to others. read more

I really was disappointed with customer service. I needed to make a change for my reservation but they had zero helpful information. They said I should contact the chef for my but the chef contact phone number was a dead line. I asked for another way to contact the chef and was put on hold before the phone hung up. We had the BEST time during our cooking class with Chef Tanya! We did the 4-course gnocchi meal with her through Cozymeal. I had never even heard of Cozymeal before, but our experience was fantastic. From booking to communication and following up, the website is really easy to use. When we get back to NY we will be using Cozymeal for classes in our area! Chef Tanya is incredibly professional and personable. We were in Boston for a vacation and staying in an Airbnb with a VERY small kitchen. Tanya was super accommodating and even brought a table for us to work on/eat on as we had extremely limited counter/work space. Having Chef Tanya come into our "home" was like having a friend in the kitchen with us. We were all laughing, telling stories and having a great time while learning some very useful/fun cooking techniques and recipes! Had a wonderful time taking an Art of Pasta Making class with Chef Diane with two of my friends. We weren't expecting to make and enjoy so much food (gnocchi, fettuccine, and ravioli). We even had a bunch of leftovers to bring home. The provided wine didn't hurt either! Chef Tanya knows her food and knows how to cook it. She was incredibly professional and warm, knowledgable and kind. To go into someone else's kitchen is never easy and she made our kitchen feel like her own. The chef was super friendly and clearly interested in the teaching aspect of Cozymeal.
