I selected Chef Chris for my New Years Eve/birthday dinner. My friends and I came in from out of town and I interviewed quite a few chefs. Unfortunately, I did not have access to connect with him prior to the event but his pictures and reviews looked good. Glad I chose Chef Chris and his team because they were great. They showed up a little early to get set up and prepared. He did bring a lot of his own dishes and cookware. They were very kind to everyone but also focused on their craft. We had 4 courses. The food was amazing, everyone truly enjoyed the flavors and presentation. They cleaned up nicely and were out of there in no time at all. I would definitely recommend. read more

I booked a class through Cozymeal which was held at La Sur Table. When I arrived they didn't show a reservation for me. Cozymeal customer service confirmed on the phone my reservation was active but somehow La Sur still didn't have it. I couldn't take the class regardless because they were unprepared for two additional guests. Waste of time and effort for my friend and I. Especially loved the traffic for no reason. My class was refunded but I have no intention of using Cozymeal to book a class again. read more

Overall pretty disappointed with my experience. I booked a chef 5 weeks prior to V day. Chef hasnt confirmed, called Cozymeals to confirm since if the chef doesnt come I need to make other V day plans - The person over the phone really didn't have much empathy. Just kept saying that they usually respond in 24-48 hours (at this point it was 2 weeks later) The person over the phone told me to book other chefs, then just cancel on them if my chef ever confirms. I couldn't do that - V day is a big day and that would be rude to people to book a spot I don't intend on taking. I would stay away if possible. read more

Perfect date night!! We chose Chef Sara and the "Romantic Italian Date Night" and it was SO much fun! We made pasta from scratch, tiramisu, and bruschetta. Our pasta dish was chicken piccata. Everything was perfect and the price was great for the experience we had! We got about 2-2.5 hours of a fun cooking class AND all of the food (which was really 2 meals each... 4 meals total). She explained how to make everything, walked us through the process, talked about texture and timing, and gave us everything we needed to be able to replicate each dish. She even gave us the recipes to keep! I would recommend this as a gift, date night, definitely anniversaries, or birthdays. Anything you're celebrating basically. I loved it!! read more

I don't distribute 5 star reviews very easily... but this one was well-deserved. I attended the "Homemade Italian 101" cooking class via Cozymeal last week. Firstly, let me tell you that I very much appreciated the fact that it was BYOB. Nothing like sipping on your favorite wine while you're getting your learn on :) About the class environment: it was very welcoming. I was in a class of people that I'd never met before and by the end of the class, we were all chatting like old friends. The environment is friendly and warm and everyone is genuinely there to learn, have a good time, and eat some great food. About the class itself: the instructor's name was Chef JD. He couldn't have been more personable. I loved that his focus was on teaching us meals that we could actually go home and make later... nothing too exotic. If any of the ingredients were hard to find in stores, he would tell us good alternate solutions that we could buy instead. He helped us get very hands-on with making the food (my favorite part was making the homemade fettucine pasta!!) and was helpful in guiding us toward the correct process. He also told us tips and tricks along the way which I found very helpful. I gotta say, I did walk out of there wishing I owned a Kitchen-aid, lol! Something else that's really cool about this class, is that he printed out the recipes for us and let us take it home. So not only did we get hands-on training, but we also had detailed recipes that we could refer to later. At the end of the class we got to eat everything we made (appetizer, main dish, and dessert). The easy part was we got to just sit down and drink wine while Chef JD and his assistant prepared our plates and served us. 10/10 would come back again... and I would recommend Cozymeal to anyone who might be looking for a unique date night activity.. or a way to treat your parents to a special night... or go out to do something fun with the girls, or even if you want to fly solo like I did and meet some new folks :)! read more

I booked a cooking class for a date night for my husband and I two weeks prior to the date. I received confirmation for my booking and was charged for the class. It stated in the confirmation that we would hear from the chef soon to verify the class will be held. I never heard back so I sent an email one day before we were scheduled to attend our date night cooking class. I received an e-mail later in the day stating the booking was canceled. To say that this experience was "amazing" or "really fun" or some other basic way of describing a good thing wouldn't do it justice. This experience and class FAR EXCEEDED my expectations! I booked this as a birthday surprise for my GF and wasn't really sure what to expect. From the moment Chef Rose opened the door and invited us into her home, we were blown away!! Not only was the food amazing, but Chef Rose knows how to teach and inspire cooking beyond your wildest dreams. She worked with my timid GF (who had no misgivings about letting Chef know that she was shy in the kitchen), as well as another student in the class. Chef Rose was patient, kind, and inspiring to bring out the best in both of them! Our class started with some very basic skills like peeling an orange (the way professionals do it, not the way us commoners do) ... we then made an exquisite salad ... simple yet complex and tasty all at the same time. Then Chef Rose taught us how to properly cut and peel potatoes, and make THE ABSOLUTE BEST FRENCH FRIES I HAVE EVER HAD!!! (spoiler alert - we didnt use an air fryer and we didnt use a deep fryer) ... and finally we learned about properly seasoning steaks and how to cook them to the perfect temperature with an amazing sauce to finish them off! IF that was everything the class was about it would be enough. Just the learning and tasting of food from a world-class chef (who by the way has been a private chef for several well known celebrities) ... but again, that's not all! Chef Rose and her husband David were welcoming and some of the most hospitable hosts I have ever had the pleasure of spending an evening with. Not only did they welcome us to their homes with open arms, Chef's husband Greg shared his knowledge about some of the finest wines and pairings known to man (ask to see their incredible 2000 bottle collection!). Finally the evening ended with all us sitting down and breaking bread together and sharing in the complete delight of what we had accomplished. OH yeah - and I can't forget the INCREDIBLE DESSERT Chef prepared for us (along with Coffee and Espresso). Whether you have ever cooked a day in your life, or you consider yourself to be an amateur professional, this class is for you! What a wonderful experience! My husband booked us a special date night with Chef Honor Star and our "Secrets to Searing Seafood" was just perfect for us! We learned how to cook, at home, the seafood that we love and had a great time doing it! Chef Honor took the time to teach us based on our cooking level and interest. The food was amazing! Easy to do and super versatile and she took the time to give us recommendations on how to change them up at home as well so we can use the recipes over and over! Chef Erin was a blast. From the get go we all hit it off with her. She became a quick friend. We were all so comfortable with her, asking questions and she was so helpful to give us feedback on things we cook all the time at home and have questions for. She was very personable and enjoyable. The food was so delicious and even though it was fancy, it was so manageable to cook! She really does a great job of making sure that this is something you can do in your own home. Phenomenal! Yesterday we experienced our first cooking class with Sara. Making the reservation was easy. Sara was super responsive and easy going which made us feel extremely comfortable. She did a great job following up and also accommodating us on our unique arrangements. Sara's warm spirit and charm made this class fun. We were completely vulnerable about our lack of cooking skills and felt no judgment passed (haha). She is extremely patient, conversational, and helped guide us step by step - no awkwardness or pressure. The duration of the class was perfect. I was looking for a knife skills class in Dallas and happened upon Cozymeal. It was so easy to book a class with Chef Sara--the schedule was really flexible! The class was in my home, which was perfect. Chef Sara brought everything we needed to learn to properly chop, dice, and mince. She also taught us how to sharpen our knives and properly take care of them. We used all our skills and made enough food for two meals for everyone. Chef Sara even cleans up after everything and leaves the extra ingredients for us! Chef Sara was a joy to work with. She went with the flow when we asked if we could practice using the new rotisserie attachment in our oven. Rather than going with her plan of roasting in a pan, she patiently read through instructions of how to hook up our rotisserie. And it worked great and was delicious!! This really is a good value for anyone looking for entertainment (about four hours!), food (enough for two meals each), and education (just TRY to find a veggie I can't chop now!). read more

The menu was a perfect assortment of yummy eats; everything was DELICIOUS ! We were some chopping, stirring, assembling divas . I even seared a tenderloin for the first time...where have I been ‍!? This was an incredible experience and I highly recommend to other couples that are looking to do something special and different. There is no greater joy than to prepare the meal for the ones that you love and doing it together brings even more joy. Sara was phenomenal! She came to the house and discretely set up everything in the kitchen that was needed for the experience, my fiance was in the other room and didn't even realize she was here (extra point for her ninja skill!). We did the Italian dinner, which was fabulous, not only in taste, but also in the experience of prepping the meal. Sara was awesome to work with, she gave great instruction and made us feel very comfortable even though we never made home made pasta before. The thing that really stuck out to me was as we were preparing and cooking, she was cleaning up behind us as we go, there was never a mess in the kitchen. She had a great sense of humor, a lot of awesome story and a wonderful history in the culinary world. One thing that I really appreciated is that she left us a copy of the recipe so we can try the recipe on our own unsupervised. LOL! Hope it turns out as good as when she was here.
