I wanted to love this place, but it looks like I had a very unique experience, and not in a good way. The instructor was wonderful and the space was clean and neat. The ganache we made for the center of our macarons was very tasty! Unfortunately, the ovens were not working properly, so our macarons for our whole group of 11 people were all either under or over cooked. Mine were extremely overcooked. They were very hard and chewy. For $79 this is unacceptable. They could have offered us a replacement class or a pickup order of new fresh macaroons, but we were simply told "sorry, it happens sometimes". Everyone else has such great reviews and photos on Yelp, so I'm really sad I did not get that same experience. I totally understand that things happen, but for $79 I expected edible macaroons to take home, and instead I got hard rocks that needed to be thrown away. read more

Kids Christmas cookie class was the perfect way to spend a freezing cold, flurry flying day. Each child has their own pre-measured ingredients in a bowl & they mix it up with their hands into a dough. After that, the fun begins as each child picks the shapes they want for the cookies. Isabel made sure each child got the attention they needed & there were nice refreshments for both adults & kids while waiting for the cookies to bake. WOW WOW WOW This class was a birthday surprise gift to me from my Spouse! I'm an avid baker and have watched too many macaron videos to count, but have always been afraid to try making them... You know, when you're known for being good at something, you don't want to disappoint and have something go wrong or it not taste nor look good or the way it's supposed to look/taste. SO, needless to say this was the best gift and I was SO excited to see what was to come! We arrived to the class early as requested and were greeted by a very friendly lady, who I now know was Tess! She is very gracious, warm and welcoming. When you first walk in, right away you notice how clean and organized everything is it's so great! Once everyone arrived we were ushered to a back room, which turned out to be the CHEF'S KITCHEN, it is SO AMAZING! The tables were all set up with everything we needed, from ingredients, to mixing bowls and necessary equipment. Additionally, there are 6 or 8 ovens, it is SO awesome! I'm jealous that I only have ONE oven at home, lol So first, Tess formerly introduces herself and lets us know that this is her very first adult class to teach. When you take one of her classes, you would never know she is very new at teaching, as she is a Pro! She is very attentive, very clear in her instruction and explains why and how everything works the way it's supposed to and what to do if it doesn't. She covers all of the bases. Additionally, she had her very own sous chef, lol‍ JK, she had Isabel, I think she is the owner, maybe but she is definitely the expert, anyway, she was behind Tess, to make sure she'd catch Tess if she "fell", so to speak. Isabel is equally amazing, she was always there to jump in whenever Tess needed a hand! So the next step was to get mixing, piping, baking and putting everything together to complete my very first attempt at making Macarons! And boy was it a lot easier than I ever could have imagined! So now I have the tools and a bit of experience to feel confident enough to bake them on my own, thank you Tess In fact, I have my egg whites sitting out right now, so they can be at room temperature, when I get started making my very first home batch. Just one week after I was taught how So, if you ever want to learn how to homemake your very own Macarons and are too intimidated, like I was, head on down to "My French Recipe" and take a class with Tess and/or Isabel and get to learning! (Nothing like learning how to cook French while listening to French accents right.) The atmosphere was very casual and relax. We brought wine and cheese and snack on them in between cooking. For our Valentine's Day dinner, my husband and I prepared mustard chicken with scallops as an appetizer, and finished off with chocolate mousse for dessert.
