Just finished taking the EMT course, and I am extremely satisfied. Course was inexpensive in comparison to many of the other programs out there. It was an accelerated course so we were finished in five weeks. It is challenging because it is accelerated. But as long as you put the time and effort into it, our instructor Jenn would really invest the time to make sure you grasped the material and give you plenty of examples and stories to reinforce what you were learning. I first found out about Cpr and More through a friend that recommended their course, so I gave it a try and took the 5 week accelerated course. Now this review is fairly long but give it a read and I promise it won't disappoint. Before I get any further though, I've been pursuing the EMS/Fire career path for a few years now and 3 1/2 years ago I took an EMT course held by MT. San Antonio College(passed but felt was not prepared for national), plus had numerous friends take West Coast EMT and also Fire future... I can right now say that CPR and More beats these easily. Here's why.. Jenn our instructor legitimately cares about your success in the class, she is not like other instructors where they are there to collect money and then make sure that you can teach yourself. She is young and has been on the same path so she knows how hard it can be but she will teach you the information you need plus more. I will be honest the test are hard, but manageable, and that's because they are formatted so you can succeed and pass the national registry once you complete the program. Just pay attention!!! The test do get easier in the end. Next point, the financial side, a EMT program is expensive non the less but, after taking two courses I can compare and without a doubt tell you that CPR and More is one of the more reasonable courses. Let alone that they may not advertise it, they can work with your financial situation. The location of the class is in a great radius of many businesses and food places. If you are out in San Gabriel valley, the Inland Empire, high desert, riverside or the boonies (just kidding Beaumont!!) this is not as far some other programs!! Last point, if you struggle and do not pass because you have other things going on, Jenn and Chris will work with you before dropping you but then ensure that you are able to come back at a HUGE fraction of the cost. Like my other classmates, we all agree that this program excels when Jenn teaches, when you give it your 100% attention, and most of all have a good ATTITUDE. I sat next to guy who didn't have the mind set and he didn't pay attention, didn't read, didn't put in the work, and he was gone by the second week. I've recommended this program to friends and three of them are taking the next 5 week course. I'm sure once they are finished.. they will be saying the same thing. And so will you, just give it a shot. read more

I found a deal on groupon for half the price. I called in on a Monday to ask about class times and they were able to fit me in on the same day. I got there at 12PM and was out by 3PM with my CPR and First Aid Certification. Chris was really cool, down to earth, approachable, and helpful. Went in this morning for CPR certification, Chris was a nice guy, great teacher and very timely. I was in and out in an hour and a half. Keep in mind there were only 2 other people in class with me so that made it a bit easier I'm sure. I'll definitely recommend him to anyone looking for CPR and first aid classes. read more

The instructor was good BUT we went in with a big group and were told over the phone they were American Heart Associated and that a groupon would be honored the day of. When we arrived we were told if we wanted the American heart association stamp we had to pay an extra fee. What should've been a $35 class with the groupon turned out to be a $60 class with the book included, we weren't offered the book. If our group wasn't in such a need of our CPR cards we for sure would have walked out. If you're going here make sure you have extra money cause they're gonna try and pull something over you that causes you to pay more at the door. read more

I wanted to take the time to commend CPR and more for their services. I am an RN but I wanted to continue to keep my EMT certification active. I was able to take the skills testing portion of the EMT required for recertification at CPR and more. A couple years ago, I had the pleasure of having Chris test me. He was very courtesies, professional, and knowledgeable. I was very pleased and happy to get recertified testing from them. Two years later I have to recertify again and I had the pleasure to have Leslie has my instructor. She was also quite awesome. She was very well up-to-date on the changing protocols, also knowledgeable and professional, as well as had a really cool sense of humor. She was able to provide me with scenarios for testing and also reinforced it with stories and scenarios that she actually experienced in her work experience.Thank you so much CPR and more for your help, and Leslie for accommodating my testing needs. I would never go back! I went to get CPR for adult, child and infant. The price was good, $50. The issue was with the instructor Leslie. She had an issue with me being on my phone and handled it really inappropriately. The instructor decided to address the issue with me being on my phone in front of the entire class. I can totally understand her not wanting someone on their phone and had she set ground rules in the beginning of class it would not have been an issue. A polite tap on the shoulder and request to put my phone away would have been adequate; however, she decided to go into a personal story about providing CPR to a close friend who passed away and having a full audience in her yard that failed to assist her in providing her with CPR despite some of those people being CPR trained. Then she said my game wasn't important and to put my phone away. I got the sense that she were trying to make a point of had those people who were CPR trained paid attention she wouldn't have been in that position. The story was irrelevant to me being on the phone, but made me feel as though she found some sort of correlation between the two. It was not called for. I was quite embarrassed by her addressing it the way she did. I totally understand not wanting people on their phones but it's pretty hard when the class was as dry and boring as it was. I could've watched videos online and learned as much. I emailed her to let her know her inappropriateness wasn't appreciated nor appropriate and ask that she forward it to her manager or supervisor, but in guess she didn't do that! Hopefully he or she reads it here, as it is their first poor rating. Never again read more

Great instructors. Very helpful and care for you to pass the class. If you show you really want to do it, then they will be there for you. But you got to put time and dedication by reading the book and understand the materials as much possible. I would recommend my friends and family to join this class because of the instructors. Skills training are fun and nervous but it will help you prepare for the test as well. Thanks to Chase, Chris, and especially Jenn who has been with us for 25 hrs a day. Lol read more

I took the accelerated EMT course they offer, and it was great. We had a lot of fun in the class during the five weeks we were together. Like most other classes, it is the instructor that makes or breaks the course. I would highly recommend this class, but only under certain conditions. 1. Jenn is the instructor (fun teacher, very thorough, communicates VERY well outside class, and is accommodating if you put in the effort) 2. You can dedicate yourself to this class 100% (That means NOTHING else scheduled) 3. You have the right attitude towards the class (This really should be your dream, otherwise you won't make it) Overall this course is great, It's not crazy expensive, It prepares you for the National Registry well, the tests in class (in my opinion) were more challenging than the National. For lunch break, its close by a lot of different options, so you don't have to pack a lunch every day. Negatives about the course: Two days we were taught by Chris and we didn't grasp the topics he covered. Most of the class failed the following test. We had some re-certification people come in for our skills tests and it took far longer that desired to get through everybody. And thats about it. read more
