Class portion: I had the pleasure of having Ms. Owens as my instructor/teacher through zoom during Covid. Every class was taught very well and with great care. We had presentations, homework, research to do, and she makes sure you do it right as well. Ms. Owens is very knowledgeable and I love that Ms.Owens took the time to explain anything we had questions about. It's been 2 years and I still enjoyed my time so much at AUMT for the MA program and having Ms. Owens as an instructor. Lab/externship portion: Mr. Miranda at Temecula location was so patient and helpful in guiding us doing injections, blood draws, taking vitals, and lectures. The time passed fast and was enjoyable! Everyone was super nice. The school did help in finding my externship which i was so thankful for! It was tough but I did it. I was so pleased with both of my instructors and left a good review 4 months ago when I was taking the course because I believe in giving credit where credit is due . With that being said, I'm not pleased or happy with administration and the experience I've been having with follow through, communication and being lied to when it comes to speaking with the office. I was told after Xmas break when my completion of the course was done, I would be going into extern. Here were are almost March and I have to continuously send emails and make calls to get answers and the run around about extern. I've been a supervisor for customer service for 12 years previously so communication and keeping your word goes along way. I've been more than patient and understanding but I can't even get a courtesy call or update on what's going on, I have to be the one to call and send emails to get any answers. One person is saying that, that the next person is suppose to call me and that person hasn't called so excuses are made as usual and the run around continues. The last excuse was that I'm not CoVID vaccinated so placement is harder but why wasn't that discussed prior to taking the course? I explained my urgency to complete and go right into exten from the very conversation with Ryan and was reassured it would be swift and go smoothly which was far from what I experienced and still experiencing. I haven't had my training in months so I don't even remember the material with so much time going by. My money was taken, extern was promised and I'm still waiting. After speaking to 2 other students that started after me, they are done and almost done with extern, yet here I wait. I was going to add the other classes as well but don't even trust this school anymore with my time or money. Today I was told that Ryan is just the messenger, again putting the blame on others which is so unprofessional. I would think twice about taking this fast tract program unless you have lots of time to wait for extern. Everyone's reviews here are all before the extern process has been complete which is sad and disappointing that this is how an annual good experience ends up so terrible in the end after the great experience with the instructors. I'd think twice and am hurt and lack faith in people after this experience. read more

I used to hate in person classes bc I've had bad experiences with teachers (judgmental & not helpful or lacked patience) but everyone at AUMT genuinely wants to help you succeed & be the best at what you do! I'm taking an EKG course with Andrew from AJH Healthcore United and he is the greatest instructor I've ever had! I was nervous to start taking classes because it's been a while since I was in school but he is so encouraging and knowledgeable! I'm so happy with this course and I feel so confident moving forward with my career in healthcare! The only possible way it would be better is if they offered a BLS course... but don't you worry, if they ever start to offer it, I'll be the first one to sign up! If I could I would rate this school a negative 5 , I made the mistake of coming to this school in 2018 , they were the most unhelpful unprofessional school I've attended. Samantha is the rudest most unhelpful person there . I called them asking for help on how to access my state license, Samantha rudely told me she can't help , she said it's my fault and that I should've had my license already and that next time "pay more attention " because I supposedly signed a paper with some sort of instructions they gave me . First of all I can say with confidence that they 100% mislead me. They are so unprofessional and every time you get a chance to speak with someone they rush you off the phone or out their office. They truly are just money hungry angry rude people who don't care about you or your license . They ONLY want your money . Samantha and Steve in the front are awesome! They're both super sweet and helpful with whatever you need. Jessica and Miss T were wonderful instructors. I choose AUMT because of the flexible schedule they offer, and Ontario campus was the nearest location from where I live. The whole process of getting in to the program was very easy, Samantha and Steve are the campus manager, they patiently explain everything in detail regarding how the program work and really make sure that we students understand the whole process until you get your Phlebotomy certificate, Sometimes Steve will go the classroom randomly and remind us over and over again about what paperwork we should submit and what to do after the end of our program. My instructor was Matt Banzon, his a great teacher, he make sure that all of us in the class will have the confident we need before we go to our externship and the way he teach the class is very easy to understand, I never knew that I drawing someone's blood is something that I can do, but the way Matt instruct us to do the blood drawing give us the confident we need to do it, and his explanation during class also help us a lot in passing our nationals exam. My experience here is really great, and I definitely recommend AUMT for whoever want to start their career in Phlebotomy. read more

This school did not set me up for success. I had almost zero experience and the school failed to get me a decent externship. The site they had me go to doesn't really do blood draws so I sat there for a week. Whenever I had questions or needed some clarification I would try to call the resource numbers and emails but nobody would respond. This place has caused me so much for stress and I have a lot of people question how I got my license since my externship was a joke. I got 7 draws out of 50. I would never recommend this school to anyone. They are unorganized and have very poor communication skills. 0/10 recommend. read more

I hated to get to this point but don't go to this school. The instructors were great, but the externship system is a nightmare (you will wait, they are falsely advertising there is no wait). I've been done with everything for weeks and can't even get a certificate of completion. I requested my money back twice and was told no. I wasted my time, and my money on this program that was absolutely useless for certification purposes. They can't argue any of this. I got referred to this school from my friend. He was all telling me how good this school are and the staff is awesome. I apply to this program and got in right away. Thank you to Sam, the campus manager, for helping me all the paperwork and answering my question about the program. She's so friendly and outgoing. The professor I have is Anthony (Captain Awesome). He is a great teacher. He will taught you everything you have to know about Phlebotomy. From reading the reviews if you are a SoCal student where the school is headquartered you may have had an ok experience. Beware if you are in Northern CA. They absolutely failed at supporting Livermore students once the pandemic started. Class began in January 2020, was of course interrupted in March. ZERO communication from them until Fall of 2020. Some effort was made to finish online and offer some practice. Externship was not assigned until JULY 2021. It was offered at a clinic that averages 6-8 blood draws per week so almost no experience was gained. I realize Covid made things complicated but the effort by the school was seriously lacking. I would have been way better off going to a more local program. AUMT was offered at my local JC so it seemed like a good choice. HUGE MISTAKE! read more

Still no externship scheduled. I am not sure why anyone thinks that the promise to schedule is useful. For all I know they could schedule to schedule it. Everyday they neglect to schedule is a wasted opportunity for me to move forward. Look at the reviews. First of all, this school is amazing! From the moment I signed up Sam (the campus manager) has been really helpful and accommodating just MAKE SURE you communicate with her if you have any problems with anything regarding the school. Secondly, I was honestly quite intimidated with this course because needles terrify me and because this is a medical course but Antonio Juan (the morning instructor) taught the course in a way that wasn't too fast paced and if there was something that any one of us didn't understand he made sure to break it down in a way that was easy to understand just make sure you ask questions. And lastly, for those who had such negative comments, are you sure you're reviewing the right place? Either that or you're just confused because this was definately worth the money... Ps. My friend and I started at AUMT Feb 14th 2018. Our last day in class was March 7th 2018. Once our class was over our nationals was on March 27th so we decided instead of being home or getting sidetracked without studying for the nationals, we would start class all over again with the new batch of students. The day of our nationals was the new students final for that class. So we were able to retake the class for the second time. I was so happy that we were able to take the class twice before our nationals because IT HELPED ALOT. Now that said, on the day of my nationals (today) the 27th of March we took the test and my friend and I passed. If it weren't for Matt the instructor, his motivation, and patience I dont think we would have passed the class. I am the type of person to over think all information and he was able to deal with that and help me to understand it. But besides that the atmosphere of that school is just so great. When we first applied we went thru Samantha who is just the SWEETEST person she explained everything to use and answered all our questions. Then there was Steve he was awesome he is so easy going and fun. All three of them work so perfect together to make your experience there easy and without problems. Anyways so now that we passed we will be going onto externship and we got one very quickly. For the state license and all that I will keep you guys updated on that once we get there. I am 40 years old with a learning disability. I always wanted to shift into the medical field for job stability but I'm scared due to the fact I'm a slow learner and that I just might waste time, energy and most importantly, money. I took the evening class and was lucky enough to have Matt as an instructor. He is patient with all of his students and you can tell he really cares about every person in his class and wants them to succeed. The program goes by very quickly, but I always managed to get all of my questions answered and to have concepts I didn't fully understand repeated. I took this class in Moreno Valley one day a week on Friday's . I can tell you that it fit my schedule and the instructor Dan was grate. He made class fun and informative. As for the state test they help you to pass the test. It's just your job to take it serious and study. after I went to do my externship it was a good experience. Then when I completed the externship I received my state license. It was a process but it is well worth it. As for a job you just really have to work on that yourself, make sure your resume is up to date and have some of the requirements that job is looking for. If you have customer service experience that is a plus. There are some company's out there that will hire you if you don't have experience.
