I went there for a broken inside screen for my Flip 6. It was a Sunday, and was told it should be in by ruesday, most likely wednesday, so i paid half as was asked. Rhe next Saturday i called, and they said the wrong screen came in....im guessing they ordered the wrong screen, bu either way a call to update me would have been nice....so another week went by, and two to three days turned into two weeks, at which point i called them again, the following Saturday, and "ya that came in on Friday"....again no courtesy call. So i dripped my phone off, and was told it would be about an hour and a half maybe two hours, and theyd call me when it was done....three hours later, they were going to be closed soon, so i went back, and sure enough, it was done, and once again, no freakin courtesy call. These people do not give a crap about you, it is obvious. Two weeks later i was back due to the screen cover cracking right across the middle....ive had these things changed before elsewhere and it lasted the better part of two years....after that, it lasted another week and i just took it off, but thats the least of my concerns. Ever since they changed the screen, no one can hear me on speaker phone, and most times cant even hear me when not on speaker phone, on top of that, a few times a day, ill open the pho e, and the screen wont turn on, and sounds like im opening 100 year old book. These guys clearly dont take pride in what they do, they obviously dont care about customers, and it seems that they use very cheap products.....to say the absolute very least, im would not recommend them if you want anything done in reasonable time or quality, and dont expect a courtesy call for any thing at all. Yeah I don't think the guy who works at this place likes that job very much. Very disrespectful and doesn't offer options when he's at fault, refused to give me my refund, only when I said I'll sue he gave me my cash right away and tried to act nice after once he heard authorities. Straight scam artist!! Tried charging me $400 for a phone that cost $280 just to change the battery port and explained how many hours it would take and how complicated it is ahhahah I used to fix phones for fun and charging battery ports take 5min. I have had IPhone batteries replaced twice by these people, in different phones. After this last time I noticed bright spots on my screen within a day of having the work done. They repaired my iPad okay, but the service was less than stellar. The repair took ten days longer than they said it would take, although I was okay with that because they had to order a part. What I'm not okay with is that they kept me in the dark on the progress of the repair. I texted Michelle two days after my iPad was initially was supposed to be ready, and she informed me they had to order the part. When I asked for an ETA on the part, she asked me to text her on a specific date, which I did. I didn't hear back from her, so I texted her again, still with no reply. So, I drove there across town a couple of days later to see what was going on. She initially implied I hadn't texted her as I said I would, but she checked her phone and saw that I had--twice! She then gave me a perfunctory apology, saying she gets "over a hundred calls per day." I picked my iPad up a few days later when told it was ready, and the co-owner denied that they had needed to order a part. When I said that it was the reason for the delay, he said that it then must have needed one. I took the iPad and saw that the glass was completely smudged with their fingerprints. They couldn't even be bothered--during a pandemic--to wipe it down. It would have been so easy to make me a satisfied customer: one text with the part's ETA, no confusion over whether it needed a part or not, and a clean screen. But, they get over a hundred calls a day! So they don't need my business. read more

Run - do not walk - from this shop. We brought a damaged phone in to see if it was worth fixing. They assured us it was so $280 latter for the repair plus a sceen protector we left. Two days latter we realized the phone was not charging so back to the shop. We were told a broken wire was missed on the first repair , fixed again. Now just a few days latter the phone died again and the shop is claiming we cracked the screen and wants another $140. This phone has had no impacts or drops since the repair so their warranty is a joke at best and possibly a faud. After a debate the owner agreed to cover half the cost of the screen but unfortunately I have little faith that the repairs will last. read more

Michelle and Geoff what can I say other then thank you. after a stressful exam period and my phone constantly dying I finally decided to try and get it fixed cause lets face it, money doesn't grow on tree's or whatever the bs saying is lol. After referring so many people here it was finally time to go in myself and boy was I glad to do that. My phone is like my baby and to those that don't find that weird you will appreciate the anxiety you get dropping your phone off somewhere. Geoff was always so helpful texting and putting up with my messages while Michelle had to deal with me in store asking if 30 year old could color in the coloring books. To say that these folks are committed to customer service would be an understatement. They went well above and beyond, and stood behind their warranty. Back in the summer, I dropped my Galaxy S7 Edge, and the screen took it right on the chin, leaving me with a screen that now sported a huge divot with chunks of glass falling loose. I didn't have any replacement insurance, so after dropping to my knees and shouting at the sky, "WHHHYYYYYYYY", I hit the intertubes and found Cellphone Doctor at the top of the list. Cracking your S7 screen is a bad idea. The coverglass is bonded to the display. So you have to replace the AMOLED panel, too. Not a cheap repair. I called around, and Cellphone Doctor had the best price in town. They fixed the phone and I had it back the same day. Unfortunately, these Samsung screens occasionally have some issues. After 6 weeks, my new screen developed a bright pink line down the right hand side. I took it back to the the folks at Cellphone Doctor and they looked at it and said, "Yep. That's covered by our warranty." They ordered a replacement screen and fixed it for me as soon as it came in. Bad luck, though, persisted. The 2nd replacement screen had a manufacturer defect out of the box. So did the 3rd. But, these guys did not give up until they had fixed my phone. They went to some pretty exceptional extremes to make sure that my phone was returned to is pre-smashed-screen state. Because of the number of times that I was in the store, I had to the unique opportunity to see LOTS of folks having their phones being fixed, and they all left happy with the service they had received. #154 At the point I found this on Yelp!, I had been without my Motorola Moto X Play for almost 3 weeks (luckily, I only use my WIND sim for personal use and I can use it in my unlocked T-mobile Samsung Galaxy Note Edge). I had suspected it was a port issue despite dropping the phone into a bowl of soup at East Side Mario's near Sunridge. The reason is that later in the day (after I had obviously removed the tomato soup), I was able to charge the phone completely (that was on a Satuday); later that night, when I put it on the charger, it refused to charge. I tried different chargers, cables, etc. and no love for charging so the phone had dwindled down to 20%. After calling around and finding out that either it would be upwards of CAD$100 and/or they did not have the part, I had emailed from this companies website and Geoff responded that they had the part and gave me a quote for CAD$79. Already, two for two since the price is at least 21% lower AND they have the part. Within a week, I came in on a Sunday expecting it to take an hour or less (and the phone still had just under 20% charge since I had left it off). However, the guy was horribly sick (which I caught whatever it was despite not getting within 1m/40in of him). He explained that he was going home since he was sick (obviously) but would get to it in the next couple of days (what the hell, I've already been without it for three week at this point). I gave him the number he could reach me. Not hearing from them, I called three days later on Wednesday and apparently, it was done Monday or Tuesday but they have forgotten to call me (if you could see how many jobs he had ready to process on that Sunday, you'd see why I was so understanding. Seeing that many jobs gave my confidence these guys must be good). So, I came in an picked up my phone, it has been working for 2+ weeks since with NO charging problems. The workmanship appears to be flawless. I got a quote for two other phones (S3 and S4) that need new LCD screens and the price is about 20% cheaper than other places I've checked so I will be fixing these phones (they are both unlocked and the S4 is the international version) soon. I have begun referring my friends and co-workers (I'm the IT guy so they usually listen to me on these kinds of things) since this place has good hours, reasonable prices, great service, and apparently, does great work. I am willing to bet I could have gotten my phone back the same day if the guy was not sick so I am not penalizing the review on that since the communication and service was well above, well most service in Canada that I have experienced. Excellent service. Phoned up and confirmed that they can work with water damaged phones. My phone went swimming on a Mexican vacation. I cannot be without my phone. Bought a new phone ( which took 3 days to arrive ) and then took my water damaged phone in. They had it fixed in less than 2 hours and the service was awesome. Had I had known they would be as good and efficient as they were. I could have saved myself hundreds of dollars on buying a new phone. Lucky for you if you're reading this then you also have Yelp, and Cellphone Doctor allows you to request a quote through Yelp. So that's exactly what I did! They got back to me right away, letting me know about a couple of possible problems I could be experiencing and that they'd be able to help me out. I dropped by the store and they did some charge tests and cleaned any dust and lint out of the charge port that could be causing the problem. No dice. I would need to have my charge port replaced. 45 minutes and $59 later I was back on my merry little way with a brand new, snug fitting, cable hugging charge port. I barely had enough time to do some grocery shopping at co-op next door. Fast and friendly service, quality work and a good price to boot. These folks were able to repair my iPad in one day after a drop on a tile floor turned the front screen into a spider web. My first experience with major damage on an iDevice; I wasn't even sure it was salvageable, but it's good as new. Price-wise I got three quotes through Yelp - they were on par with one quote and half the price of the third. And about half the price and a lot less hassle than getting a refurbished unit from Apple. Communication was thorough but a little bit slow - typical for a small business where the same person does the work, greets customers and answers the phone. But they actually admit this up front and apologize - so it's forgivable. Would not hesitate to go back, if (when - ugh) I experience another drop of death. read more

Went into this store yesterday to get my phone fixed. After being told by apple it was "unrepairable" they seemed confident it was a software problem. They told me it would only be $59 to fix and they would not charge me if it didn't work... they were willing to take the time to TRY the fix and wouldn't charge me if it didn't work?? AWESOME! I came here after being turned away at Phone Freaks. They suggested I got to apple saying that it would cost me less to do their phone exchange (~$200). The customer service was pretty weak. Fortunately I got a 2nd opinion at Cellphone Doctor's, which I happened to stumble across while driving away from Phone Freaks along 16th ave. The 1st +ve sign was that the guy working, let me in for a quote even though they were already closed for business. He had a can-do attitude and very reasonable $ to fix the frame of my iPhone 5, which was bent and separated from my screen. I returned the next day and Mike fixed the problem efficiently, while providing excellent service. I even got my old 4s's battery replaced within minutes and a new backing installed. I got a quote on my phone and it was reasonable I had time to dress put my shoes on start and drive my truck 2 blocks before I hear a new message come in from cpr as I don't text and drive I continued on I arrived at cpr and they told me the didn't have the part in stock why would you give a quote and not check your stock ok he says I messaged you right away witch is bs as I stated above ok I bring the phone in next morn 10:15 am told it will be a couple of hours ok I go home only way he can contact me is at my home phone so hung out there all day waiting finally I arrive at there shop at 5 pm the person wisent even working when I came in shes standing around with her kid telling me oh I'm just doing catch up she explained he had a problem with the new part I never got a call at all I had to waste my time and gas again to find out this I was so angry at this point the said oh another week to get a new one nope I will not deal with this company they cannot run it properly what a total waste of time and gas I spent on this sadly run place p.s not impressed guys gotta do better to keep your customers well informed I will not be back read more

Great hours! Was there at 9 am on Saturday and my phone was fixed in a half hour! I had dropped it off my balcony, 3 floors, but luckily only the screen broke, or so I thought. When I went to pick up the repaired phone, I found out that the front camera had also been damaged beyond repair, but he replaced it with a used one he had for free! Also threw in a new screen protector for a discount. Very knowledgeable and friendly, I highly recommend this place, even if it i a little more pricey than others. Worth it! read more

I was having trouble getting my old Samsung Galaxy S5 battery to charge. It's an old phone I got from a friend, so I don't know what the history is on it. I called CPR in the NE and was told if it's the battery a new battery is $39.00 and if it's the charging port it would be $99.00 to repair. When I brought my phone in, Geoff looked at it and said he was quite sure it was actually my charging cable. He used one of his and my phone started to charge right away. I told him I had another charging cable at home that was kind of acting the same and he said to bring it in and he would see if that was the problem. If what I had didn't work, a new cable would be $19.00. I went home and decided to go through all of my old computer stuff and I found a different cable to try - and it worked! My phone is now all charged! I wanted to write a review as a thank you as I was told at a different place the problem was definitely my battery and a new one would be $50.00. I would have paid $50.00 and that wouldn't have solved my issue. I would definitely recommend CPR in the NE and if I run into problems in the future, I will bring my phone here. I was recommended these guy's when my phone that was only 1-year old just would not turn on one day. I have an protection policy with Bell. When I went into Bell to get this fixed they said I would have to pay a deposit and would not be able to restore the information on my phone. One of the sales staff at Bell told me under his breath to check out Cellphone Doctors. From the time I walked into the doors to having my phone working again only took 2 hours. These guys are awesome and affordable. I will be cancelling my protection policy now that I know about these guy!!! read more

I really wanted to like this place....I took my LG G5 in because the power button had stopped responding. I was originally told an hour wait time, no problem as I had other shopping to do nearby. I went back an hour and a half later (no phone call), this time the response was "We need another hour" (the phone had been overlooked and the tech wasn't even aware it was there). Because i am from out of town, I waited the extra hour. Again, no phone call to relay info, and I was forced to go back into the store again, to which I was told that the phone would need parts they didn't have, and they would call me the next day. After waiting 2 days for a call, I finally got them on the phone and was told that the parts were 1-2 weeks away. They did not proceed to call me for 2 weeks, and upon phoning them, I was informed that the parts had been delayed at customs. To make a long story marginally shorter, I was without my phone for over a month and the company didn't call me a SINGLE time to update me on the status, or even to inform me that the phone was repaired. I also emailed because I hadn't been able to get anyone on the phone for over a week, and the email also wasn't responded to. I gave 2 stars because they did repair the phone, although the casing is now bent in a couple of spots from using spudgers that were too short. The store itself was very dirty with phones and parts everywhere. I know other reviews have pointed out this fact, and I've even read some rebuttals from the owner, but the fact is that there isn't an excuse for a dirty/messy shop with so much competition in this industry. I realize they are busy, but the obvious oversights in CUSTOMER SERVICE leave me no choice but to write this negative review. Would I recommend them to a friend? NOPE. read more

I had my phone recently repaired at another place, and within 2 weeks my screen stopped working. They were closed for the week and I needed to get my phone fixed for work. I went to Cellphone Doctor and the owner made my day today. My phone was fixed and he was very fair on his price. They did not use cheap after-market parts and my phone is as good as new. Excellent place and I highly recommend this place to anyone. They also gave me a 6 month warranty on the repair. This place cares about its customers! read more

Do NOT recommend. HORRIBLE customer service!! did NOT fix my phone and actually made it WORSE and made me pay for a defective screen 2 times !! I shattered my phone screen recently and went to the cellphone doctor to get it replaced costing me 120$ (Iphone 5) After they replaced the screen I was having issues with my screen glitching out. I went back to ask what was going on with my screen. The employees were rude and hardly listened to me when I was explaining the issues. They replaced the screen again charging me another 100$ Even though it was the screen that they put on initially causing problems. AGAIN after the second screen it still did not work. I went back again and this time they were even more rude. When I went to pick my phone up after the 3rd screen they said "We had a batch of defective screens, that was causing your problems". The 3rd screen I have on now does not work still so I am going through my carrier for a new phone because of this company for something that should have been fixed right the first time.
