This CPR training class left me feeling prepared to try to help with CPR and choking if the need ever arises. I would recommend this course! I participated in a small group private CPR training session at my friend's home for 9 people. We focused on infant, child and adult CPR and choking. William is a wonderful instructor. He made the class very easy to follow and walked us through the process of what to do in an emergency situation, including seeking consent, assessing the person in distress, when to call 911, and how to perform CPR and help with choking. We practiced the process a few times with CPR manikins (different ones for infants and children/adults). William observed each of us and helped with tips and corrections as needed. We talked through various scenarios, and he gave us opportunities to ask questions. The manikins were very clean, and he also provided one-time-use gloves and sheets to cover the manikin's faces. Some tough topics are bound to come up in a CPR class - it's not easy to talk about scenarios of people in distress. William's experience in discussing these topics definitely showed. He is matter-of-fact but gentle in describing situations. The course was $40 per person. You can get a certificate as an add-on, which you can chat through with William if you are interested. read more

I was going to take the infant CPR class, first aid and AED training before our baby was born. Lol but he decided to come early so I did not have a chance to take it before he was born. Luckily, 3 weeks after she was born I had some time to take the classes. Booking the classes was super easy, I just did it on their website. As soon as I paid I got a call from Tina and she was super helpful booking me a day and time. I did not know how they would do the classes sjnce the pandemic is going on. Awesome, there was availability 2 days later. She said I'd do the online class, and after I passed that there would be the in person class. Tina was super helpful. I decided to do all 3 classes/ trainings because it was super cheap to do all 3. I got to the class and they have a parking lot right in from which was perfect! Because kind of difficult to find parking in Venice Blvd. William Wang the instructor called me and told me that there was one other person in the class, so awesome only 2 of us. When we got the class started, William was super funny and personable. I was actually nervous and I don't get nervous but he made the class and learning really fun. He wasn't super strict but he also wanted me to get everything correct, so he would have me do things numerous times. Which I really appreciated, because in a real life scenario I'll feel more confident. I'm glad he was super fun to be around and teach the class but also serious when it came down to doing things right. I am a teacher who needs to be certified every two years. I will be coming to CPR Los Angeles in 2 years, here is why: 1. William is an excellent teacher! You will actually learn CPR instead of checking the block. Even though I took other classes before, this is the first time I actually feel confident in performing CPR in the future. 2. Class time, William wasted no time, we were done in 3 hours for CPR and another 1 for First Aid. The classes I took before those instructors wasted too much time in transition between different class segments, William will make sure you walk out of the class equip with knowledge to do CPR! 3. Easy learning - The format for the class is much easier to follow than all other CPR classes I took before. In conclusion, if you don't want to learn about CPR, I would go somewhere else to check the block. But if you really want to learn something and be confident in your skillset as a CPR certified person, William will make sure you are equipped with the proper skill. Yes, the cost may be $5 more than other places, but it's worth every penny. I almost didn't come because I could save $5; glad I didn't make that mistake. When I took other CPR classes, I got written materials which I would NEVER read afterward. When I walk out of William's classes, I have the knowledge in my brain. I am starting a new job as an instructor to a physical fitness class and needed to take CPR training. I could not find a class that worked with my schedule. I have a 7-month-old baby, so finding someone to work around my schedule was AMAZING!!!! William was on time and very professional. I tried to book a private CPR class for our office. I spoke with them on the phone, gave them all my information and triple confirmed the date and time. A week out from our scheduled date, I received an email saying that our slot had been taken by another party. When I called, I spoke to Tina, the woman who I had schedule the private class with, she informed me that the instructor had booked another job and would be unable to teach our class. Very Professional and great at what he does! I have an infant and I didn't have anyone to watch him, but I needed my CPR / AED in order to take my personal trainer exam. I emailed William to inquire about his availability and set it up for him to come to my home. This was amazing, since going to an actual location would be a huge task not to mention finding a place that would allow me to bring my child. William arrived at my house on time and was very patient with me and the fact that I had a infant who never spends time away from his mom (interruptions). He made sure I knew what I was doing and he answered all of my questions I had my homework ready so in total it took about 2 hours. This is the only way to go if you want to get CPR / AED certified in my opinion. Would gladly recommend him to anyone! One couple had their infant with them and he was SUPER kind and accommodating with any fussiness and gave a helped hand when needed by the parent holding the wee one. Our two friends and we just had our pediatric CPR and first aid class with William. He came to our home exactly on time. We all had a wonderful experience and feel more prepared now as expectant parents. The price, convenience, and the personalized attention of our own private class just can't be beat (far better and more economical option than those hospital or birth center classes) Yes, you could watch YouTube videos on how to deal with emergency situations, but the hands on practice is invaluable to me. You really have to press much harder than you might imagined on the chest, and waiting for 10 seconds to check for breathing is a lot longer than you might think (especially in a panic!) William had us rehearse through the entire procedure and also had good situational questions that helped us think through different variations and the reasons behind it. If you are an expecting parent, I really recommend getting a few friends together and take the class from William (you might get group discount). Makes a for a fun and educational time with your friends and you will get quite a bit of workout from the CPR practice. p.s. It is absolutely essential for parents and care-givers to be trained in infant and child CPR. William and his team at CPR Los Angeles make this task easy to accomplish!! He came to our home on a Saturday evening and taught us all the basics focusing on hands-on practice and constant feedback. The biggest benefit was that we could be there with our babies--and he was happy to take a 10 minute break when one baby had to nurse and when another had to be put to sleep. The training is affordable ($40 for infant AND child), convenient (no further than your living room), and flexible!! We set up the training 5 days before. Awesome!!! I went here as a requirement for my teacher's credential and I'm really glad I did. I paid $100 for first aid, adult/child/infant CPR, and AED training. I think it's worth it to do the bundle because an AED makes a significant difference in saving a life. I also liked the online simulations that you have access to for two years! William is a great CPR teacher. He breaks everything down and is very clear. The class I went to today was small and personal. I needed to get re certified for CPR and didn't want to spend too much time or money doing it. I tried red cross and would have had to pay a few hundred dollars between babysitters, course cost and driving time. I looked on line and found CPR Los Angeles. I called and spoke to William and he couldn't be more accommodating. He offered to come to me so I didn't have to leave my son. He provided the kind of CPR course that I will actually remember if and when I need it. I got real practice in a quick, efficient manner.
