I have never been CPR certified before, so I had no experience going into the class at all. The instructors at UCLA's AED CPR program were all so helpful when explaining the procedures, and they were all willing to help out anyone who did not understand what was going on. Their approach to teaching was very captivating and I could tell that they were all very passionate about what they were teaching. The class was a great deal (especially in the area), and finding a class was quick and easy. I completed the course with Instructor Sherry who was very passionate in teaching the techniques performing CPR, and using the AED. We went through multiple trial runs until the procedures became second nature to me. After completing the lesson, I took a short test and immediately received my certification card. This class is very efficient and well staffed. It's affordable too. Community members (non students) pay about $16 per class. CPR and First Aid are taught separately. So you would attend one date for each component. The good thing is the convenience of the days offered. Saturdays and Sundays are usually available. You need to check the dates offered. Once you are done you are emailed your certification card in a few days. I've taken this class twice. It's basic CPR and First Aid, not BLS. My only complaint is that parking is not covered on campus for this activity. So you pay $16 for the class itself and then $12 for parking. Still a good deal, but parking is free for other events. read more

The instructors that teach the CPR classes are very passionate about what they do and it really shows during the classes. I took a class with them recently and the three hours flew by because they make it very interactive. Unlike other CPR classes, they don't just show you a video but actually demonstrate the procedures and talk you through the entire process. The profits go towards funding their medical missions trips abroad so it's also for a good cause if you choose them. read more

Great all around experience. The instructors are extremely well-trained, professional and thorough in their knowledge. Sherry was really keen on making sure my form was correct and all the instructors really took the time to check our understanding of all the core concepts. Their team looked very prepared and organized by how they had the whole room set up early. The location was also very convenient to find and it was on campus! Great place to get certified! The UCLA AED instructors were very helpful and the class was very organized. Instructors walk you through all the steps/information. Then all you have to do is take a short test at the end and you immediately get your certification card right after. Plus it is right on campus so great for college students but even better, the class is open to anyone. Definitely recommend! read more

GET YOUR CPR CERTIFICATION HERE!! The class was very well organized, and everything ran smoothly. Although we did learn a lot of content, the instructors made it enjoyable by adding their own jokes and stories throughout the class. I also loved that the three instructors had very different personalities. It prevented the class from getting boring. The best thing about this class, though, was how quickly they were able to provide certification cards. You take the test at the end and you're set! I renewed my BLS for Healthcare Providers certification this morning with UCLA AED and it was such a positive experience. The instructors delivered the information in a succinct and organized manner. This class was so helpful!! I needed to get certified for volunteer work at the hospital, and the classes offered by UCLA's AED were very organized and engaging. The instructors were very familiar with the material, and made the early-morning class much more enjoyable!!! By far, one of the best CPR/BLS classes I've taken, even in comparison to the ones I took for lifeguarding CPR certification. The instructors provide you with adequate hands-on experience with the CPR models, and came up with helpful acronyms to help me remember the material better.
