Very disappointed with my experience! I initially reached out on April 23, 2026 about a deck project, and on April 24 he responded that he was interested in the job. Unfortunately, from the beginning, communication was a major issue. He was extremely difficult to get ahold of, rarely replied to text messages, and never returned any of my phone calls. Despite that, on May 1 he told me he could get me on the schedule for the following week. Based on that commitment, I continued waiting and planning for the project to move forward. After nearly two months of trying to make progress, following up repeatedly, and dealing with poor communication, he informed me that he no longer felt comfortable taking on the project. Being told today on June 17, 2026 that he's "just being upfront" is honestly hard to take seriously. If he wasn't comfortable with the project, he should have communicated that from the start instead of leading me to believe for nearly two months that the job was moving forward. I fully understand that contractors have the right to decline work. However, customers also deserve honesty, responsiveness, and professionalism. Keeping someone waiting for almost two months, rarely responding to messages, never returning calls, making scheduling commitments, and then backing out at the last minute is simply not professional. My husband got his name in April and reached out about expanding our deck. He came and checked it out and said he wanted to do it. We then ordered the new decking, got a building permit, my husband tore our old deck down because we were told by Chris he was going to get started. After almost 2 months of the worlds worst communicating, he decided he was no longer going to do it. Every single text my husband would send him would take Chris about a week to respond to. We were told numerous times he was going to get started and then excuse after excuse he just never started. So we are now left with no deck off a second story slider with 4 small kids in the house and all the deck materials just sitting here. So I 10/10 would NOT recommend Chris or trust anything he says! We were more than understanding of the 2 months of excuses and lack of communication on his part and then in the end left us high and dry. He should have said from the start that he didn't want to do it! Couldn't find a more untrustworthy, unreliable person to do our deck if we tried. read more
