There answers were short. No other customers were in the store! I bought $200 worth of yarn. When I went up to the counter with my purchases, one of them started to be nice. Two other customers cane into the store while I was shopping. These women were very friendly to them. I've been knitting for sixty years. I used to manage fabric stores. I know what good customer service is. I will never walk into that store again.

Tina was extraordinarily knowledgable about how the yarns knit up and which one would be good for my project. She even helped my boyfriend pick out a color that would look great on him! There was a strong odor of cigarette smoke outside the shop, but thought this could have been from someone smoking outside. Nope. The strong smoke odor permeated throughout the shop. I spent about 15 minutes in the shop, picking up several different skeins of yarn to inspect the fibers and composition. No one was at the register. I'm not even sure if anyone there was working or not. It felt like I had entered a party that I was not invited to. Strange experience. I wanted to support a local business instead of Michaels, but walked out without a purchase. Even as I was exiting there was no greeting of any kind.
