I took my cat to get spayed. She had an accident on the hour long car ride to get there, I told them about it, they said they would handle it, no problem. I would not have minded to clean her up if they had given me the products to do so. I come back at around 4ish to pick her up, and they said "we tried to get it off." She had her own feces matted in her fur from sitting in it all day. Even throughout her surgery, feces matted on her tail, hindquarters, back legs, all of it. The saddest part is, if you look into any other vets in the state of Virginia, Tennessee, or West Virginia, many are hesitant or will not even accept animals who were treated at this vet because of how bad it is. I can understand them having many animals to perform surgery on, but there is absolutely zero excuse as to why they could not clean my cat before spaying her. My family and I have given them our business for many, many years. Every single year they become more and more of a disaster and a disappointment. Maybe if you cannot properly handle the amount of animal clients you currently have, do not try to overload yourselves and take on more. The entire lobby was full of people picking up their pets from getting spayed/neutered so I'm assuming they have specific days set for it. Either way, this is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. I cried the entire ride home knowing my cat sat in her own feces the entire day and there was absolutely nothing I could've done about it because I had no clue. I highly recommend staying away from this place, and if your cat has an accident, keep cleaning products and waterless bath to help them in the parking lot before taking them in, otherwise, they'll be sitting in it if it's left up to Crab Orchard. read more

I had my kitten Muffin in there for an Upper Respiratory infection The vet said he had asthma and put him on Presisone syrup. He is going down hill fast and I'm scared to take him back. Everyone should really stay away from these vets. They are incompetent and very uncompassionate. read more

I just recently had a problem with my goat. Unfortunately, the soonest appointment was a couple of months. Bethany went above and beyond and contacted the vet in duty. She double-checked all the things I had done, and the vet gave advice. The poor thing is still not doing very well, but hopefully, all that I did will start working. If I could do minus numbers I would. I have had dogs my whole life (I am 60) . I have NEVER had such a horrific experience in all my years of pet ownership. Brought my dog in to be put down . He was in pain, difficulty breathing. The vet administered the mixture to sedate him first. It didn't work as expected , he did not fall asleep ! So we took him in figuring he would get drowsy . She administered the medicine to put him down. IT DIDNT WORK! We were there for over 2 hours waiting for my baby to go. He did fall asleep and began snoring, so thankfully he wasnt aware of the circus going on. Multiple sticks trying to find veins (3 different people) she said they give 40 mgs for horses . My boy took 50 mgs, and was still snoring (he snores when he sleeps, I miss that so much). Extreme measures were taken in the end (not discussing that part) . I had him cremated and Singleton Crematorium, returned my baby in a lovely wooden box with his name on it. My heart is shattered having to say goodbye , and the fiasco at the vet did NOT help ! read more

In town for a funeral and had to bring our 2 dogs with us. The funeral was on Saturday morning and the staff at Crab Orchard was kind enough to keep our dogs while we attended. We dropped them off at 9 AM and picked them up at 1 PM. Our pickup time was outside of their normal pickup hours, but they were extremely accommodating due to the situation. We would not hesitate to utilize their services again if needed while in the area. read more
