It's a Cracker Barrel! So.... There is that. It also happens to have the newest Supercharger in Meridian, MS attached to it! That makes it a "SuperCrackerBarrel" in my opinion! Maybe even a "Super Cracker Not Lacking Electro Current Cracker Barrell"! ™. It's mine, you can't have it. I will find you! You can juice up the ride and fuel the body with some mediocre foods. That's like a win/tie!! Get it?? Win/Tie?? I am just so witty, I can't stand it! Our original server traded us off for a regular that came in and sat in another section. It's hard to deal with rejection right at the beginning of a relationship. We barely even just met, lady!! I shook it off well as the other server l was really nice and took good care of us. I'll send the therapy bill to Martha later. I never got to see any of the remodels that occurred that got everyone up in arms about Ol' Uncle Hershel, so this one looks just like they all do. Cool fireplace, nice warm colors. Just the right amount of dust covering the old artifacts. You know.... Just like the old days. Food was fair. My dumbass got catfish worth my UH breakfast. That was a mistake, but other than that I enjoyed my meal. Eggs were perfect and it was hot and fresh. Biscuits and gravy baskets make me really happy too!! Win/tie for sure!! I must not have gotten C's breakfast pic. She had pancakes and bacon which is always a winner!! She probably said something like "how many fucking pictures of pancakes do you need, Adam".... and I stopped. She's cool like that most days. I ended up spending almost a $100 on breakfast because of the stupid gift shop catching my wife with "sales". Is it really a sale if it is junk that you don't need? I think not.... We left with gifts for the in-laws, which I good I guess since we were on the way to see them just before Christmas. They are jerks, and don't deserve things. Nice visit. I only put one star because there wasn't a choice for zero stars. The absolutely worst Cracker Barrel in the country and if you think I'm lying, I dare you to try it. I tend to avoid Cracker Barrel just because I've never had a great experience at one. This location is fairly identical to all the rest, but visiting in the morning on a weekend left us with a fairly empty restaurant, which was nice Our server was pleasant, and the service alright. There were a couple side items that never arrived. The drinks took a while to arrive, and our meal took closer to 30min to arrive, and again, it wasn't crowded The food was good, but I did feel like I needed a nap afterwards. I went to this restaurant because I had such a positive experience the last time. The service was confused. We ordered and the results were not good. Most of the food was room temperature. The orders were not correct. Some of this was correctable. For the most part it was not a culinary treat. Hopefully the next time we go there it will be better. Not giving up yet. read more

Stopped in this evening to grab a sit down meal with my son that was not fast food. We ordered the campfire beef and chicken. Hands down...this was the best meal I've eaten in a Cracker Barrel in several years! Supposedly it's only on the menu one more week. Please Corporate Cracker Barrel, please keep these on the menu! In the past the menu has offered a great variety of satisfying meals reasonably priced, with excellent service. On our current trip we have visited several Cracker Barrels to find the menu completely changed with ALL our favorites no longer available or only available to specific days and times. She was somewhat polite, but the skills of serving were somehow below what a common sense would be. Might have been management, as none of the employees smiled at all. I've been eating at this location as long as they've been in Meridian, MS. I used to go there with my parents. But when the new leadership took over a couple of years back, the quality of the food and the waitstaff declined heavily. The last couple of times we went there, the tables were dirty. The very last time, the server lady took a dry rag and knocked some food debris off onto the floor as we were seated. But the rag was dry, and the sticky stuff remained on the table. The food on those last few in-person visits was only so-so. About a 4-5 on the 1-10 chart. Then I ordered two to-go orders after that. During the time they were rebranding, it was even worse. One order had spoiled catfish in it. I'm done with Cracker Barrel as long as the current leaders are in charge. As far as I'm concerned, they need to either get new leaders who take them back to their roots, which is top quality country cooking in clean restaurants with good service, or they need to go under. Because what they have now is barely fit to eat. read more

We went on a Sunday around 1PM, so we naturally had a bit of the church crowd present. However, we had to wait only 15-20 minutes to be seated which was a pleasant surprise. Our waitress was extremely timely and personable (I believe her name was Amy). Our service was wonderful and we received our food and eventually our check rather quickly. When eating at a chain, I tend to not focus too heavily on the food unless it's out of the ordinary, considering you can typically expect the same standard across locations. I ordered a peach mimosa to drink, which was sweet and not too strong. For food, I ordered the stuffed cheesecake pancake breakfast, which was to die for. If you're looking for the traditional Cracker Barrel pancake with a little something special I highly recommend this meal. My friend ordered the Sunday home style chicken; he could not stop raving about how delicious the chicken was with the mashed potatoes. My other friend ordered the chicken blt sandwich with steak fries. She was also raving about how delicious her meal was. As far as ambiance, it was extremely standard for a Cracker Barrel. For chains I look more closely to the overall cleanliness and layout. This location was very clean and appeared to be well managed. Eggs scrambled instead of over easy, copious amounts of grease, no condiments on the hamburger, no butter on the loaded baked potato, French toast appeared to be make with regular white bread and was served without syrup. Quickly took our order for drinks and return to get our mail order. We order two appetizers one was fried pickles. The other was Cheese bites fried. Both were really good. Out of the vegetable plate. I found almost no seasoning in what I got, but I worked on it a little bit with some salt and pepper so it turned out OK. One ordered meatloaf plate and said very good. And I can't remember what the other two order but they said it was good. Of course, when you go into Cracker Barrel, you have to look around and shopped and we found some good deals on some clothing and picked up some also. Recently, I saw where Cracker Barrel was advertising a new meal of southern fried chicken and decided to try it on my next chance. It has been about 5 years since my last Cracker Barrel visit so I was due. I actually like this chain but rarely eat there for no negative reason. Last week, I got my chance visiting here. Located next to I-59 it's easy to get to and has plenty of car and RV parking. After being seated, I ordered the new chicken meal with sides of mashed potatoes and green beans. A plate of biscuits arrived for the table and they were oh so good. The meal arrived about 15 minutes later. I thought my chicken tasted good. Not overly battered with a nice tasting crust and meat. The sides were both very good in taste. Finally my table service was also very good. This was a meal that I would order again as it was affordable and a decent fried chicken meal. Unfortunately, after the meal was over, I realized that honey was supposed to come with the chicken for drizzling and mine was missing. A slip by our waitress who otherwise did a very good job. I love Cracker Barrel and this location is no exception. The service was superb, The food good, and the price great. I had the Cider BBQ glazed chicken with apples and cranberries and the sweet potato casserole on their lighter fare section of the menu. It wasn't much food, but that's exactly what I wanted (something light) after 3 days In Nawlins. The only down side was that we had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated because we showed up during the lunchtime rush. But that's not their fault, it was ours for showing up during rush hour. That said, I will definitely be riding this chicken again. I just wish they'd bring back the chicken salad sandwich that they used to have on sourdough...man was that yummy read more
