I tend to avoid Cracker Barrel just because I've never had a great experience at one. This location is fairly identical to all the rest, but visiting in the morning on a weekend left us with a fairly empty restaurant, which was nice Our server was pleasant, and the service alright. There were a couple side items that never arrived. The drinks took a while to arrive, and our meal took closer to 30min to arrive, and again, it wasn't crowded The food was good, but I did feel like I needed a nap afterwards. I don't love indulging too much into this style of southern foods so early in the day because I don't leave feeling great, and all my energy is shot Some tips: If you sign up for Cracker Barrel rewards you can get a side of Beignets on your visit. Also, now the receipts have a QR code you can scan and pay at your table so you don't have to pay at the door on your way out Thanks, Nick

This location's food was awesome! The waitress was great but it was a little disturbing that the other employees were rude and a little obnoxious. Making the experience no good

Food was hot and fresh! Some of the quickest service to date. Our server was tentative as well as the manger.

We had Felix's Special--Shrimp Remoulade Salad with a grilled pimento cheese and applewood smoked bacon sandwich on sourdough. Since 1870, Weidmann's has welcomed everyone from railroad workers and weary travelers to soldiers and hometown heroes, earning its place in Mississippi's history. Founded by Swiss immigrant Felix Weidmann, the restaurant opened during Meridian's rise as one of the South's busiest railroad crossroads. During World War I, the restaurant temporarily relocated to Hattiesburg to help feed the thousands of soldiers training at nearby Camp Shelby. One of its quirkiest traditions is the complimentary peanut butter and crackers brought to every table. During World War II, butter rationing led the restaurant to serve peanut butter and crackers instead. Customers loved it so much that the tradition continues more than 80 years later. In 1935, when brothers Al and Fred Key took to the skies in their airplane, Ole Miss, they weren't just chasing a world record--they were trying to save Meridian's airport from closing during the Great Depression. They spent an unbelievable 653 hours and 34 minutes--more than 27 days--without landing. They stayed aloft by pioneering air-to-air refueling techniques. Their record stood until astronauts aboard Skylab surpassed the duration in space in 1973. One of the celebrations honoring their historic flight took place right here at Weidmann's, forever connecting the restaurant to one of aviation's greatest achievements. I ordered the shrimp and grits, and they were outstanding. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, the grits were creamy and full of flavor, and every bite tasted fresh and homemade. Of course, you can't leave without trying their famous peanut butter and crackers--a tradition that's become part of the restaurant's history. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was warm and full of character, and you can tell they take pride in preserving this historic landmark. If you appreciate great Southern food and places with a story to tell, Weidmann's is absolutely worth the stop.

Public Safety Alert: Menu Misrepresentation, Undisclosed Pork Concealed in Cajun Pasta at Bistro 24…read more On July 4, 2026, during a holiday trip from Georgia (5+ hour drive), my fiancée and I dined at Bistro 24 at Pearl River Resort. Having abstained from pork for over 30 years, I trusted the menu when ordering Cajun Pasta--a meatless base with a paid Chicken add-on. Unbeknownst to us, pork sausage was heavily concealed inside the thick Alfredo sauce and vegetable base. We elected carry-out containers after sampling several bites and returned to our room with the intentions of getting some much needed rest. Hours later, my fiancée suffered acute gastrointestinal distress. I called front desk to be connected to Bistro 24, in hope of speaking directly to a manager or food representative, to no avail. Moments later I suffered severe biological rejection resulting in acute emesis upon our bedding. At that time I requested housekeeping. We were forced to get dressed and leave our room at the Silver Star Hotel to address the issue in-person at Bistro 24 inside the Golden Moon Casino. We confronted the manager and Executive Chef. The Chef openly admitted, in front of the manager, that he intentionally added pork sausage to the base because "everyone was asking for it to be", despite omitting it from the menu. This was a deliberate decision to alter a dish without disclosing a restricted protein. We filed an on-property complaint with resort security (Officer Iris, badge #47). Post-departure, we sent emailed complaints. Risk Management sent a Certified Mail package offering a nominal $500 each, conditional upon signing a Confidential Release Form. We rejected it. I offered a final window for them to outline their corrective menu policies, but they chose total silence. CRITICAL SAFETY WARNING: I urge anyone with severe food allergies, religious/spiritual beliefs, or dietary restrictions to exercise extreme caution here. When a kitchen intentionally conceals pork inside a base sauce without labeling it, it creates a high-risk environment. You cannot trust this menu. Due to the resort's total lack of accountability, I am formally escalating this to the Choctaw Gaming Commission and the Office of the Tribal Chief for a full regulatory audit. We intend to exhaust all available means to protect public safety from corporate entities that fail to acknowledge grievances and operate outside of policies meant to protect the public. There was some kind of street fair going on, so we parked in the back and walked in from the back door. It was a little confusing, but we four a very sweet server who showed us where to sit. I think her name was Lincoln and she was very sweet. The outdoor area was a little messy, but no big deal. The food was okay. I had a French burger that was a little flat tasting. My husband had the French dip. Again, it was just okay. Cocktails were pretty good. Based on that alone I probably wouldn't go back, but we were limited on choices due to having our dog with us. Here's where it took a turn. We went to our car and there was a very nasty note telling us, "The next time you park here you will be towed." It directed us to go inside to get someone to move their car which was blocking us in. We didn't see any other parking lot and there weren't any no parking signs. I went inside and found our waitress who gave the note to a woman sitting at the bar with papers spread out in front of her. I assume she was the manager or owner. She didn't say a word and sent the waitress to move her car. All of the sudden our sweet server wasn't so sweet. Come to find out, the parking lot entrance was on the side where the street fair was and we couldn't see it. I think that is a pretty nasty way to treat customers. I don't recommend this place at all.
