I had a haircut with Ali today. I asked for long face framing layers and to remove dead ends. My hair was very long (past my ribcage) so I specifically gestured for about 5 inches to be removed. At the end, she told me she cut 6 inches, but when I got home I measured and 11 inches were actually cut off. There are no layers, my hair was cut straight across my collarbone. My bangs are uneven. This is not what I asked for. I'm sad and disappointed. This cost for this cut with tip was 100 dollars. It doesn't look flattering... She was really nice though, seemed to put effort into styling it and the salon is clean/cute. I came by Craft again hoping to get a cut after several months of avoiding one due to the pandemic. When I could hold off on a haircut no longer, I decided to go to the tried and true location for a trim. The online system is always incredibly efficient, and in a matter of minutes I had an appointment for later in the week. However, on the day of, I was awoken by a Saturday morning call from a number I did not know. Without consulting me, whoever on the line canceled my appointment and made another one nearly 3 hours after my original time. Confused, I called this number back and clarified that a stylist had canceled for the day. I was given an appointment with a different stylist, which was fine since I hoped to get anyone with a free time. Come the (new) time of the appointment, I arrived 15 minutes early. The door's sign indicated that I needed to call ahead before entering, so I attempted to...over 3-4 times to no avail. No one was picking up the phone. I tried knocking and even looking into the window. Confused, I ended up just opening the door despite the sign. Luckiliy, it was open, so I let myself into the waiting area. Nearly 30 minutes after my arrival, someone finally addressed me at the counter to let me know the stylist would be ready soon. Given that this is during Covid, I think the salon is just getting organized with changing schedules and systems in place. I had a decent haircut with a killer shampoo session. Honestly, the head massage during my wash kicked the stress from the wait right out of my system. The cut was okay - it was mostly to fix some issues a previous stylist had caused from a different salon (damage control). I'm okay with the cut, though I will say I still think about my first, flawless experience at this salon. This time, I think the A/C was out, the wait was strange, and by the time I got to my stylist, I'm not sure I was in a place to appreciate the nuances of the cut. Quite honestly, it felt pretty fast, and the differences were subtle. I'm still willing to give Craft + Co a go, and I hope you all do as well. I saw Sam for a cut and color as a new client. He was absolutely amazing. He sat down and talked to me about what I wanted to achieve with my color. I am 37 and going very grey. As a brunette this can be very difficult to keep up with. Sam took the time to build trust and build expectations. I recently moved from Chicago and I had a very close relationship with my stylist there. I was incredibly hesitant to let anyone touch my hair. I had about 3-4 inches of gross dead ends. I've been in Nashville for 11 months and I've had three haircuts before I got this so fun and excellent cut by Samantha. I'm not an easy client and I know this. One of my best friends is a hairstylist of 30 years and she has made it difficult for me To find someone who can work with me and find my new style. A good cut is everything to me and refined my style and vibe. Samantha worked with me to get what I was looking for right now in my life. It's not a symmetrical cut from a magazine. It is a individual cut designed for me with Samantha's added skills and touch and this is what I love. I making such a big deal about it because not too many women in Nashville have short cuts and I couldn't figure out who to go to based on all the pictures of long hair with color and curls. That said I was fortunate to have my first cut and color done by Kaitlyn who killed my color and brought my hair back to life with my first cut. She painted on the color and I couldn't have explained why I wanted she nailed it beyond my expectations as well. After almost 4 hours I was satisfied with the cut but wasn't ready to work through the cut. When I was ready Kaitlyn was out of town and this is how I landed in Samantha's chair and found this short cut, gem of a stylist. What a great salon! Being it was my first time here I was a little nervous. I always feel intimidated walking into a new salon..is it cliques, will they think I'm too old (61) to be in their trendy salon ?? But Craft was welcoming and a fantastic experience. The owner, Kori, as well as the front desk staff, made me feel at ease from the moment I walked in. My stylist took the time to talk to me about my hair, lifestyle and what has and hasn't worked for me before. Needless to say, I am extremely happy with the results!! Around 9:30 this morning, I made a 12:30pm appointment online. The appointment was confirmed. I got to the salon at 12:20pm. The doors were locked (but lights were on). I figured, no problem - maybe I was just the first appointment of the day (meanwhile, it started raining). 12:30pm rolled around. Doors still locked. I called and got the voicemail. Waited a few more minutes. Emailed, and called again. No answer. Knocked at the door. I contacted the salon on their Instagram too, asking if I should keep waiting. I double checked my appointment day and time, and confirmed the salons hours on their website and here on Yelp. It's now 5 hours past my appointment, and no one from the salon has even reached out. It's disappointing that I took an hour out of my work day for nothing. I look forward to finding a salon with better professionalism. read more

I travel over 1K miles (from Boston area) to still see Frazier, and it is well worth it! 7 years ago he helped me with a color correction from another Nashville salon, and he's been my hero ever since. Frazier is not just a colorist -- he's a hair artist. I get compliments on my balayage all of the time - no matter what color shades we try! I simply don't trust anyone else to give me similar amazing results. He's great about recommending new colors for your personal look, mood, the season, etc. And, I only have great things to say about the results and highly recommend his talents! This review is for Daniel. He majorly screwed up my hair. All I asked for was a root touch-up to cover the silver. I walked out with orange roots the first time. (My hair is brown with caramel highlights.) I thought, "ok mistakes happen, I'll just cancel my evening plans and go back so he can correct the color." An hour and twenty minutes later, I still have orange roots. To add insult to injury, he kept blaming his crappy dye job ON MY HAIR. Dude, I've been getting my hair colored for almost twenty years now and every other stylist has been able to properly perform a ROOT TOUCH UP!!!! It's not like I asked for something complicated! You'd think I would have found the best stylists in LA, but she's actually in Nashville at this adorable salon. Does not take into account what you say you want for your hair, and doesn't try to make their mistakes right... I really liked her as a person, so this is not personal. I went in to my bridal hair trial, and this was my experience. I showed her pictures of what I wanted. Half up/half down and curled, with an intricate bridal braid. I specifically said I don't want a simple of plain braid (regular/French)... When I got there, she said that she didn't need to do a trial on me after all. I expressed to her that I was already nervous about my hair for my wedding because of my last experience with the hairstylist who booked a gig over my wedding. So then she said that she could do a little test of it on my hair. I was under the impression that we were meeting that day to get the exact look that we were going to replicate on my special day. She insisted on doing half of my head with a plain/ French braid that I already told her I didn't want. And then she did half my head with a waterfall braid. But I didn't like any of it because there was no Volume to it. She said it would look different on the day of because she would make it have volume. So I don't know what it's supposed to look like at all. I just walked away feeling disappointed and even more nervous than when I walked in. I really did like her as a person, which is why I tipped her so well. Update: it's been almost a month since I sent them this review that they requested, and no one has tried to make it right since the time they were sent this review directly... I even called them a few weeks after my trial there to cancel the hairstyle for the wedding, and no one asked what had changed my mind or even seemed surprised. Craft is by far the best salon in Nashville. I had virgin hair & had an exact idea of what I wanted, and luckily I had Tiana as my stylist! Not only is Tiana amazing, but every staff member is incredibly endearing & sweet. The women at the front desks, other stylists, assistants, etc. I told Tiana exactly how I wanted my hair colored, and that I wanted the damage cut off, but as little off as possible. Homegirl is a miracle worker & made all my hopes & dreams come true, could not have asked for a better experience! Fast forward a month, and I decided I wanted to go a little bolder & blonder with my hair. Of course Tiana was down for the party & created the exact look I had showed her. I realized I had made a bad decision in the hair color & didn't like it.
