Upon my return to the shop, he seemed hesitant to charge me for the service because it was less than a five minute fix. My response was that I wasn't paying for the five minutes of service- I was paying for the years of experience and knowledge that allowed the problem to be diagnosed and repaired in a short time. I was happy to pay- and I'll be happy to return to Pocasset next time that I have a question or problem.

I called Jim because my Japanese Arisaka bolt action World War 11 rifle was inoperable due to the…read moresafety being frozen and the bolt being jammed tight. I took the rifle initially to another local gun smith and he had no idea how to fix the problem . Jim seemed to know the problem as soon as he looked at the rifle and actually told me to swing back to his shop in a few hours. I said just call me if your able to fix it and he did the following day promptly. He had disassembled the trigger and fixed the problem. I can't tell you how appreciated I was due to the fact this was an artifact my uncle brought home from Japan after serving his country so honorably. Last time I needed a cleanup and a bearing replaced, I shipped it to an internet shop and it cost $100. Anyway, I asked around on Facebook and the internet, and couldn't find a shop nearby. I came across Lucky on google and sent them a message asking if they could recommend a shop. They immediately responded they could handle it. Took it in 2 days later, and 2-3 days after that it was cleaned and a bearing replaced. Fast, efficient, and only 33 bucks! I try not to give 5 stars, but lucky lived up to its name!

Just as a consumer I would figure the shop would know more about the model they are selling. It's all good though, they had what I was looking for even though a CA model isn't preferred the difference is not that big of a deal. Everyone was nice today, have no complaints, checked out some merchandise and took a look at some long rifles, shotguns and pistols. Once ready, fill out the kiosk to start your paperwork and they'll finish it out back on their end and print out your paperwork, have you sign and all that. Keep that for your records. All in all some great deals to be had, I subscribe to their email and see if anything catches my eye from time to time. Had plenty reloading gear, accessories, ammo selection was pretty good and price seems fair for the times!
