Store used to be a true surplus store with lots of good mid-price, mid-tier preparedness gear and…read moresupplies. Since becoming licensed as a firearms dealer, that has become 99.9999999% of their focus, leaving a lot of customers behind. it's a shame as they used to be a really good surplus store ... now they're just another gun store with a few remnants of their old inventory left.

Don't do transfer here! They took 4 days to log the received firearm into their A&D book. You can…read morenot fill out the 4473 form until the firearm is logged into the A&D book, so basically, you'll have a 11 day waiting period, after they receive your firearm (which probably took 4 days to get there). Pretty much every other FFL I've dealt with would have firearms logged into their A&D book, within an hour of receipt.

Know what you want before going to a store like this. This store does have the best selection for Fire Arms and Ammunition. I believe the Ammunition is the cheapest in the State of Rhode Island. Knowing the make and model is one thing. knowing the number the D&L web site has for the fire arm you are looking for helps a sales clerk a lot. Before going into this store check out the D&L shooting Supplies Web site and get the number on the web site of the fire arm you are interested in on the web site then when you go into the store, you will be prepared and the sales clerk will be able to help you more. The store in General does things by the book. Although, I knew the make and model, didn't have the number from the D&L Web site of the Fire Arm I wanted. The Sales clerk Michael G 3133 was able to find what it was I was looking for. there are many type of fire arms the make and model I wanted, some with accessories and some without. So, having a model number from the D&L web site of the fire arm are a person wants helps the sales clerk find what you want. Michael G 3133 did a good job in helping me. The sale went well. Also, when I called to pick up the Fire Arm, the Sales clerk told me a person has 30 days to pick up the fire arm. If a person has a blue card it takes 7 days to pick up. Sometimes a person can't always pick up the fire arm on the 7th day, sometimes life gets busy, it is nice to know a person has 30 days.

Michael D 3792 was very Diligent in his protocol and procedure when I was picking up the fire arm. One thing if picking up a rifle that has a large capacity, make sure you bring a mag block that makes the capacity of the fire arm 10 rounds. I suggest checking out https://www.magazineblocks.com/magento/. Having the mag block prior to picking up the rifle helps the sale and transaction go better. This helps the sales clerk and the store. Also, when picking up a fire arm make sure you bring a case to put the fire arm in. Anyway, this store has a great selection of Ammunition. Be advised on the Weekends this store can be very busy, if you can, check out the store more on the week days mid afternoon hours usually are not too busy. great store lots of things to see.
