We also did 40 bouquets for centerpieces and other tables. What was nice was I showed her my dream bouquet and I liked about it. That entailed blush and cream colored flowers, natural greenery and lots of soft texture. Something sweet and romantic. I was so bummed when I learned peonies weren't in season, but we ended up using garden roses, which looked similar and was a lot cheaper. Not to mention, we saved a ton of money overall by sticking with seasonal flowers. We had no idea what flowers she was going to pick nor did we know how everything would turn out like. Really we were putting all our faith in her. Let me tell you, her work blew us away! Everything tied together nicely...I'm still dreaming about how beautiful they were... We were nervous but she welcomed us with bright and gentle energy. My husband is a guy who never took dance classes but enjoyed moving to the beat. I am a gal who has a minimal dance background and a habit of wanting to lead. Sharing this with Catherine didn't phase her. She adapted her instruction to our experience and learning styles and I could tell she wanted us to believe in ourselves. The most beautiful thing about Catherine and FJ is they don't have cookie-cutter choreography for any of their couples. They dig deep, listen to your story, learn your personality and help you tell your story through dance. FJ wasn't our instructor, but he was so friendly and encouraging, and we got to witness a few times how he teaches his students as well. You will be in equally adept hands with either Catherine or FJ. We requested more sessions because we felt a strong connection with Catherine. She is kind and honest, determined and mindful. She celebrates growth and inspires confidence. I learned to give up the reins and my husband learned to take the lead and immerse himself in the dance. During our meetings leading up to the wedding, we had lists of questions/concerns, and Jackie was able to talk us through everything. She literally had a plan for every aspect of the day, but still gave us free rein to make every creative decision! It was so comforting to have a wedding coordinator with so much knowledge and skill. Our final meeting with Jackie, the weekend before our wedding, helped melt away so much stress. We knew that Jackie would make sure the day was exactly what we had pictured. The day of our wedding would NOT have run as smoothly without Jackie! I swear she had clones of herself! This woman was in all places at once! She checked that our items for the traditions were set up and ready to use during the ceremony (chuppah with silk, wine glass, wine, rope for knot tying). As the groom, I took on "honeymoon planning," and to be honest, was struggling at it. Feeling overwhelmed, I reached out to Lexi, who in the past had planned a vacation for us in Italy (which was stunning). I was on the phone with Lexi within 24 hours, describing what we were looking for in a honeymoon and asking if her service would be a good fit for us. She was honest with us in what her service could provide, and we ended up giving her the keys to our honeymoon. It was perfect. Lexi was careful about respecting our budget, and with that in mind, gave us 3-4 realistic options for trips we could take. We settled on Anguilla -- an island I had literally never heard of -- with an extra stop in St. Martin, and it was everything we had asked for. Side note, if you enjoy beautiful beaches, wonderful people, relaxation and delicious food, go to Anguilla. The BEST part about working with Lexi is that the experience does not end when the planning is finished. Lexi was available to us throughout the trip, from packing and pre-departure, and then during the trip for things as simple as finding us the best rental cars, modifying our reservations while we relaxed at the beach, or finding the coolest little spots to explore. A final note on how helpful Lexi is - there was an unfortunate death in our family while we were on the honeymoon. Lexi was immediately available and helpful in evaluating our options and planning our return home. We decided to meet a couple days later at the Olympic Sculpture Park (weather permitting). If the weather was not so great we were going to meet at her studio in West Seattle. The weather turned out to be great so we met at the Sculpture Park. She made the session very fun and relaxing. It was easy to smile for her. I generally do not like to have my picture taken at all, or rather, do not enjoy looking at pictures of myself. That is why I was so pleasantly surprised when she sent me the link of the photos from the session, which she sent the same day as the session. She had taken lots of great pictures! I got to pick which ones to keep and she retouched them and sent the final link to me (as well as the invoice) via e mail. I will definitely be using her again for any future photography needs I may have, and would highly recommend her to others. They were willing to take on as much or as little as I wanted them to (I erred towards the former), but I always felt that I was in control of all details and decisions. The price is certainly a bit more than many other event planners in town, but as far as I'm concerned, it was worth every penny. In addition to the fantastic service we got for the price, we received tons of discounts on various vendors and services because of Stephanie's relationships with seemingly everyone in the business. My friends and I are at the age where we've all been to tons of weddings, and I got so many comments that ours was among the most fun, creative, and beautiful they'd been to.
