We were given a detailed packing list, along with everything we may possibly need to know upon arrival. The group met in Kathmandu, and we were greeted with a duffle bag full of practical goodies which ended up being life savers on the trip (ie: cold weather outdoor clothes and accessories, toiletries, Nepali phrase book, prayer flags, wipes, roughly 100 USD worth of local currency, a postcard to send home with a stamp already on it, etc). Even though the website said "all-inclusive", this was a pleasant surprise and way beyond my expectation. Karl, our guide and super hero, is extremely knowledgeable about the area and shared his personal story of why he is leading this expedition (I won't spoil it here but it is very touching!) His passion for Nepal and enthusiasm for the outdoors is truly contagious, along with his sense of humor, even the steepest mountains surprisingly does not seem so difficult to summit. Due to the relationships Karl have fostered in the region over the years, we were able to trek the less-traveled roads and had a true immersion to the culture and people during this trip. Many times, we were the only people on the trails and a professional photographer was included, which allowed us to soak in every moment of the scenery while he captured memorable candid moments of the group. I can't quite express the experience. It was educational and insightful, and beyond the beauty of the Himalayas. I felt like I walked out of the journey with more patience, a better understanding of how the world works, and more appreciative than ever of the relationships in life. Even though this is my first trip with Anywhere, I will definitely travel with them again and highly recommend their service to anyone who is seeking a seamless travel experience to cherish for years to come! That is when I decided to use Anywhere.com after reading all the great reviews. I am so glad I did. David Leon was our contact and he did a fabulous job! I told him how long we wanted to go, the places we wanted to see and our budget. He planned the whole trip with hotels, breakfasts, transfers, tours and more! He kept a constant communication with us before the trip and during the trip if we had a question. Everything went smoothly, all the hotels were fabulous, the transfers were on time, the tours were amazing, the guides were knowledgeable. We were absolutely delighted with the experience and this is thanks to this organization. They are professionals and they do their job with absolute perfection. Thank you so much!! Pura vida.

I was excited to have her along to share that enthusiasm with us. Overall the trip was sensational and she customized it to much of what we wanted. However, there are a few things I think prospective clients should be aware of: There were two hikes where she actually DISCOURAGED us to complete. The weather was not necessarily cooperating (it was December in Patagonia after all) but we were well dressed and well prepared for that. We continued on anyway despite her not wanting us to and we were very glad we did!! The other issue I would advise clients of is this: we understood alcoholic beverages were not included in the price (that is typical and fine with us) BUT we were not prepared to pay for all beverages - including water!! Getting the check at some restaurants was a little tedious due to this and the worst part is we just simply did not know about it ahead of time..if we had known it would have been fine. Along this same theme, even though our meals were included, if we ordered an appetizer, it was not included.... very confusing for us. Bottom line: Know EXACTLY what she is planning to pay for before you go. I felt like she was "pinching pennies" the whole time even though our trip was about $6000 each. If I go again with a guide, it would not be Evelyn. BUT it was a fabulous trip.

We experienced the Uncruise Adventure named the Wild, Wooly, and Won aboard the ship the Legace. We had the best time. The crew was amazing. Captain Tim, Shelby, Matheew, Chad, Andrew, Will, and Chief are genuinely great people. The entire team was just outstanding and so much fun. Highlights: The food was five stars. We did not have one bad meal. Andrew mixed up some incredible drinks at the bar, and the chief was amazing. The boat was so cool and comfortable. We loved the small size and saw parts of Alaska that were very remote. The wildlife was life-changing. We witness Wales bubble feeding, bears eating on the shore, Eagles everywhere, sea otters, dolphins, jellyfish, and more. If you like to observe aminals in their natural habitat, this is the adventure for you. I was gobsmacked by how incredible the crew of the Legacy was with all of the guests. Honestly, the crew made everyone feel like family. Can you imagine running around on a small skiff in remote Alaska with a marine biologist talking about all the wildlife around you, especially the humpback whales? Shelby was truly amazing and made everything enjoyable. What an incredible group of people. Lastly, was all the fun and amazing people we met on our voyage. The best part about our adventure was all the new friends we made. The thing about this cruise is everyone is in great shape, loves adventure, and is around the shape age. I was worried the ship would be packed with escapees from the Seattle nursing home. That is not the case at all. The youngest person on the boat was ten years old, and we had a few grandparents along for the ride with their families. I can promise you everyone had a great time. In conclusion, go on this adventure. It was an absolute blast. Thank you again, UnCruise, CaptianTim, the crew, and our new friends. BEST TRIP EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BUT, a few big drawbacks: The boat, the Safari Endeavor, was very old and not as advertised. The sales literature said it was renovated 11 years ago. Patently untrue. The boat was built in 1984 and looks and vibrates like it was built 40 years ago, too. I also felt I was patronized constantly as an older person. I'm 65, in terrific shape, hike regularly and bike 20 miles daily. I was told ridiculous things like, "Let's give the seal lions room," as if they don't know how to swim, or "let's step back from the edge" of a viewing platform as if I were a toddler. Just not my vibe. Also, excursions that were advertised as two hours were cut short to 80 minutes at least three times. Our trip also had many people whose tickets were comped, including the large family of the cruise director, which lent an odd air of missed privilege to the adventure. It didn't help that Alaska is melting; for the money, I would recommend Patagonia 100 times to Alaska. It's much more beautiful with exquisite blue glaciers that are still visible. Or for old spruce trees, visit the Boundary Waters of Northern Minnesota. If you do go to Alaska, I'd find another small ship operator with vessels that are worth the dollar charged. The Endeavor needs to be retired.
