Several years ago I booked a ride with Cranberry Taxi. I had to give their dispatcher my credit card info to hold the reservation. Well George the dispatcher, took my credit card info, bought himself pizza and gave the a huge tip ( delivery to George at Cranberry Taxi) and other charges including calls to 900 numbers. The day after, I tried to make a purchase for $15 and found that my entire pay check was gone. George Sullivan had helped himself to my money as well as several other people's credit card info. At this moment your rating is zero you have a driver driving your taxi cab on route 79 South just passed the 166 exit who is erratically driving in and out of the lane going over 85 miles and cutting people off. We had to brake due to this driver, and literally pray for the drivers ahead of us. Hopefully there wasn't a passenger. The driver was complaining from the time he picked me up at the airport because "he had to suffer because the hotel shuttle was't working on thanksgiving" "I've been waiting 3 hours and I'm only going 4 miles." "I've got five kids to feed" "....but happy thanksgiving anyway... it's not your fault" "The entire airport should be closed today" Then he complained about not getting a tip, and said I had an attitude after I told him if he didn't have such a shitty attitude I'd have tipped him. I am literally parked next to a Cranberry Taxi Cab in a parking lot- Car #540. There is a male and a female in the front seat. The male has been non-stop screaming at the female. She got out of the car and he is now screaming and swearing to someone on a cell phone. I wouldn't trust this company to drive me or anyone I know anywhere after witnessing these actions. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. One of their drivers was tailing my son near the airport as I guess he didn't think he was driving fast enough. When we got to the airport, he then proceeded to harass my son. Wish I had gotten his name as I would've called and reported him. From the reviews, it sounds like this is the norm. I rode from the casino to East Liberty. A trip that usually 18 to 20 dollars was calculated at 55.00 dollars. The driver told that they calculate the fares from the garage. I have never so pissed in my life. DO NOT USE CRANBERRY TAXI. I will always use Ztrip for now on. read more

TL;DR: Rip-off, won't say when they can actually pick up, hard to get receipt, terrible customer service I called numbers listed for Cranberry Taxi and Veterans Cab and all reached someone answering "Star Transportation Group." They treated me like a little kid for asking if they would do a particular route between Cranberry and Pittsburgh. Of course, as if the answer was obviously yes - though two more prominent search results for area taxis had just said no. They refused to give me any estimate of when they'd be available for pickup or what it would cost. Half an hour later, I got a call from Classy Cab, which apparently has higher rates than the Cranberry Taxi. When they called to say they were about 10 min away he asked for a different person's name. Also, he didn't actually arrive until half an hour later (3x error factor). I asked for a quote then and it was about $60, but despite no traffic it was over $80 that I had to pay when reaching the destination. I had several cards declined (maybe their system has a history of fraud, since this doesn't happen elsewhere and there was no issue on any of the accounts). The driver phoned in my first credit card (which I'd tried about four times), and the person working there kept insisting on the wrong number ("Let me read it back to you...1881..." "No, it should be "1811." "That's exactly what I said" a few times back and forth). Once they started over and the office person got the number right, the card was charged but the office person said "the printer's broken so we can't send a receipt." The driver's first attempt at a handwritten receipt had a glaring math error and subsequent attempts to write on the business card stock they use for receipt templates failed. He said his meter (which looked like an app on a tablet computer) wasn't working so it wouldn't be possible to get a receipt from that either. The one star that they've earned here is that the drive seemed fairly safe. I would NOT have taken the ride if I knew how things were going to turn out, it was definitely NOT worth the price, and I would NOT recommend the customer experience at this company. read more

Awful. Awful. Awful. Will never get into a Veteran's Cab again. Worst experience of my life. I had been using yellowcab (no problems). So, Veteran's Cab was the first taxi in line this time. Ride was fine, the van was awfully uncomfortable. So the driver gets to my place, and I go to pay by credit card on the machine that is in the car. The driver takes my credit card, and I think he'll just use the machine that's up front instead. However, he uses Square - I'm thinking maybe this taxi company uses Square? I asked for the receipt, and he prints one from the car - it says it's a cash receipt when it prints out and does not include the tip amount - the driver brings it upon him to write in the tip amount himself and say it's totally a valid receipt (what a joke). Seems like what he did was sketchy, but when I noticed that I got a square receipt in my email for an amount that was more than the receipt I received from the driver, I felt totally betrayed. Icing on the cake? The driver scribbled something in the signature line - looks nothing like my name/signature. Fraud. I should have said something. My biggest mistake. He took advantage of a tired passenger. I call the taxi company. Steve is the person who first picks up. Not helpful. I call back to see what amount they have since the driver assured me that the tip amount would be included. This was a lie. Steve tells me that his dispatcher heard the first conversation and wants to speak to me - she was really nice and agreed that this was fraud/illegal for the driver to sign my signature. Both she and Steve assured me that the manager would call me back on Monday since they weren't in on Friday (when I got my ride and called in). Monday comes, I have to call the taxi company myself and explain the issue to the person who picked up and then to the manager/owner Bobby. Bobby from the start was not apologetic, did not seem to care about the situation, did not express any sympathy at all for the situation that HIS driver put me in. He told me that I should dispute it with my credit card company rather than offering up a solution other than calling the driver in and getting his side of the story. He also said that he can't force the driver to do anything because the driver is an independent contractor - so leaving me to think that I need to get my own refund. Bobby offers up the driver's number and I tell Bobby that I don't appreciate his lack of concern for this issue. Bobby snorts and tells me that I'm the one who's been giving attitude from the start - and yes I am, but I am also the CUSTOMER who had to deal with this issue because of HIS company. How insensitive and what a terrible way to do customer service/business. Incredibly inappropriate for him to think I should handle this situation directly with the driver. Puts me in an uncomfortable position. And no resolution. Back and forth almost 1 week now. I have provided all the proof that I did not sign or approve of the charge that the driver charged me. Bobby tells me that I should have refused to pay on square. He told me that the driver was supposed to show him the refund receipt, but the driver never did this, and Bobby did not follow-up with me. You'd think that as the owner of the business that he would want to find resolution to this issue, but no - I've had to reach out to him about this. Bobby accuses ME of playing him and the driver believes that I just didn't want to pay the full amount of the fare - for someone who literally travels for work, I can assure you this is not the case. How hilarious that Bobby and his driver would accuse me of this behavior when clearly the driver and Bobby's questionable business are the ones in question. Not only should I be refunded for the entire ride because the driver ILLEGALLY signed my signature, but he should have been fired as well. But was he? No. He's been driving this whole time when I've provided proof of his illegal behavior. There is video proof in the van that the manager has not pulled that would support everything I am saying. It gets better... I get an email from Bobby accusing ME. I'm at SHOCK that the driver flat-out lied and that the owner believed him. Here's the email: "He handed you the phone you scribbled that... may not be your signature but you scribbled that line! HE DID NOT SIGN or FORGE ANYTHING! You complained the whole trip. about $ and traffiHe said fare is higher cause of trafficYou were mad the fare was highYou are blaming an innocent driverYou contest the square they are not illegal. you did not have to hand your card over. Now I have the facts..." I was tired and didn't want to talk at all. The driver told me he had expensive tuition - fishing for sympathy. At the end, the driver apologized for the traffic. I said it wasn't his fault at all. Shocked he's flat-out lying now. This has upset me so much that I will be reporting this business to the Better Business Bureau and contacting police. Today, June 6th, 2017, after delivering my wife to the GPIA, I proceeded to drive home. From the moment I left the "landside terminal" until I exited the Beaver Valley Expressway "construction zone", I had the thrill of a Cranberry Taxi tail-gating me the entire way! The cab was so close to my trunk that I couldn't see its headlights! The posted speed limit in the "zone" is 30mph -- he arrived at my trunk doing at least 2X that speed -- and when he finally was able to pass me -- his vehicle disappeared very quickly down the highway. Don't even bother calling this company. I called at 11:30pm to set up a cab for 6:15am. They said they were "all booked" for that time (without me even telling them what time the pick up was) and said to call back in the morning. At 6am I called back and was told they had no cars available. When I asked how a person is supposed to get a cab in this area, they told me they don't take reservations for local trips. So the previous person lied to me. It seems like they won't do local trips, and if you need a ride to the airport, I would call someone else. read more

I called on Thursday evening to schedule a Friday morning pick up. On Friday morning at pick up time - I called to see where my cab was. The person that answered the phone said - the driver has not called you yet? It's about 15 minutes away. Then the driver called me 2 minutes after that and said they are another 30 minutes away. I'll spare you the back and forth but needless to say - horrible customer service!! Drivers acted as if he was doing me a favor. I do not know the real name of this company - if it has anything to do with Vets - I'm very disappointed to say - I would never give to the vets again. I use to enjoy donating tot he vets but if this was a true vet - making the rest of the vets that want to work look very bad. You have a horrible business model. Close your doors!! I would do 0 stars if possible. I called this company the day prior to when I needed the taxi. They told me they did not take reservations but to call 1 hour before I needed them. So, I called 1 hour before and told them I needed a taxi at 2:45 to make it to the wedding we were going to on time. They told me they couldn't guarantee that exact time, but they would try to get around that time. 3:05 rolls around and I call them back and they tell me they are still looking for a driver to come pick me up. Needless to say, we ended up driving to the wedding. I would not recommend this company to anybody. They are completely unreliable. read more

Unreliable. At least one week in advance, I made a reservation for a taxi at 6:15 am to take me to Amtrak station for a 7:30 am train. Shortly before 6 am the morning of the trip, they called to let me know that no taxis were available. This was horribly inconvenient, for many reasons (which is why I wanted to use a taxi instead of driving myself), and canceling at last minute was inexcusable. read more

I landed at the Pittsburgh airport around midnight on a Wednesday night. Instead of calling a Lyft, I decided just to jump in a cab since there was a line of them waiting there. From the moment I got in the car I should have trusted my instinct and got out. The driver refused to talk to me. The only thing he said was, where to? I told him and then asked him if he knew where that was, no response. He drove miserably slow. His behavior was so strange that I couldn't figure out if he was drunk or if he was falling asleep. I still had no idea if he knew where to go so I just kept giving him directions in case. Still no response. We finally get to where I'm going which is less than 10 miles away. I owe him $30! It's midnight, absolutely no traffic and we went less than 10 miles, almost all of that on the parkway. Just for a comparison, when I went to the airport I took a Lyft. This was during the week at 2p. As you can imagine, the parkway was packed. My Lyft ride cost me $17! He drops me off, still not a single word spoken, even after I said thanks and have a good night. Next time I will wait for Lyft at the airport even if I have to stand in the cold for 10 minutes! read more
