The ladies at Broadhill Travel will be gaining my business anytime my wife or I have to travel again.

During the planning process, their team seemed to be very thorough as they gathered information from me and our wedding day plans. I was expecting superior service. I am disappointed to say that I did not receive adequate service on the day of my wedding, and it caused my wedding ceremony to be delayed by 30 minutes. The charter was 30 minutes late picking up the first group from Hotel Monaco in downtown Pittsburgh - and in-turn was late for the second trip. The company made no efforts to alert me or my planner that they would be late. This delay affected all of the other time sensitive vendors. For example, the string quartet hired played through the 30 minute delay, but then was unable to stay for the entirety of cocktail hour that immediately followed the ceremony. When I brought my disappointment to the attention of the company - they blamed traffic and parking. However, there were three other charters (one other from ACE) waiting on the same street well before my charter was set to arrive. So one of their clients received adequate service and one did not - both paying the same amount of money for their service. I wish my charter had been on time so that he could have secured a spot like the other from ACE. The response from the company was that the lateness was beyond their control. While I understand that sometimes delays happen, they offered no apology or partial refund for inadequate service. Even with timestamped photos, the company tried to minimize the delay instead of taking responsibility. I would not recommend this company.

It comfortably fit all 35 of us with room to spare. Company was incredibly easy to work with. Mary Ann graciously accommodated all of our requests, responded promptly to all of my questions, and (unbeknownst to us) allowed our wedding crew to decorate the inside of the bus with streamers and balloons. This last bit was a total surprise for my husband and I. Getting on the bus for the first time that day, seeing all of my loved ones having fun, and realizing that they'd decorated is one of my favorite wedding day memories. Our driver (Alan) was friendly and professional and, considering how old the bus is and how bumpy Pittsburgh streets can be, the ride was very smooth and enjoyable. Guests absolutely loved the bus, and we were glad we didn't have to worry about our out-of-town guests having to navigate around Pittsburgh on their own on such an important day.

Also across the street (SR 250) is the Black Sheep winery which is very nice too. We use either the main or alternate lines, and we have never used the pre-check or first-class lines. Of course, the lines of passengers can be long, but the employees usually efficiently and politely move us along. My husband and I always carefully pack our bookbags and have our travel documents, and we follow the rules about what we are allowed to wear through the full-body scanners, so we have experienced no major problems.

The tram is gone and I was expecting to be salty about it. Getting to gates is so much easier now. TSA is also so much easier to get through as well. Counter-style checkin makes for less congestion too. Everything that's been renovated is sleek and modern adding to ease of travel. Navigation has never been better. In my opinion, PIT has drastically changed for the better!…read more PIT no longer has the tram you have to take to get to the gates, the people movers are quiet. There is a lot to see in moving about the airport from the floor designs of many of the monuments of the City of Pittsburgh if you look closely to the lighting in the ceiling. I had a chance to take it all in, the airport was NOT busy. A family member dropped us off, so we did not experience any parking issues, charges for where to part and/or delays getting to the ticketing area. Once inside the sliding glass doors, we immediately saw our check-in point (AA) and had no wait, but a pleasant experience was had by the attendant behind the counter. We also appreciated the changes to the TSA checkpoint. I was expecting a delay and frustration in getting my things into the bins, not because I was not organized, but because I was traveling with a 19- month old, something I had NEVER had to do for many years. I found myself thankful for the understanding and direction the TSA gave us. Our departure was early afternoon (2:37 p.m. flight) out of PIT and the airport was fairly empty. I have NO complaints just praise for the service and experience we had out of PIT. Coming back we arrived close to 9:00 p.m. via Southwest where many/all of the restaurants were already closed. As we walked through the airport (fairly empty, again we realized the other changes...I had never worried about elevators before, we always used the escalators) this time we had been traveling with a stroller. Baggage claim is also different. Numbers instead of letters and oversized baggage comes on a different carousel. Maybe this was not different from previous days, but for us carrying a child car seat, it was a new experience. I love the changes, it was easy for us to navigate. Yes! This was my first visit to the NEW & IMPROVED airport in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Job well done! However, I learned that Door 7/RideShare is on the ground floor after walking all the way down to Door 6 to find out I was on the wrong floor. I believe that was MY error for not paying attention to the signage. We've never had to use RideShare before, coming from the PIT airport. This, too was a first due to an unexpected change with our family member picking us up upon our return. Once on the correct floor, it was easy to navigate to get to the RideShare stand and getting to our family members home (10 miles from the airport) after our three weeks of travel.
