Unorganized. Forgetful waitress. Inattentive. Was informed they open at 11am. Didn't open until 11:30am. Ugh...

We were staying at the lodge and decided to give the restaurant a try for Saturday night dinner…read more You can order off the menu or get the buffet. Adult buffet is $13.95 and had some good options. However most of our party ordered off the menu and the food was very disappointing. The medium steak was rare on the middle. The grilled Italian herb chicken breast was very small (under 4oz) and dry from being overcooked. Paying extra for a "loaded" potato was a joke. The potato was nowhere near loaded and was missing some of the ingredients listed in the menu description. All entrees were supposed to come with bread and butter. We had to ask for the bread, as it never came. Anything positive you ask? Yes, so giving 2 stars Kids under 2 get the buffet free. There was a free wine tasting for those over 21. Plus there was a nice selection of local beers and imports. I sincerely wish the local owners all the best with their new investment in 3 Bears Lodge. I think you should loose the white napkin fancy table settings and all dressed in black servers. Don't try to be something your not. This location would be perfect for a down-home, scratch-made, good comfort food in a casual attmosphere.

Years ago the restaurant in the Three Bears Lodge was a great place to go for a delicious fish fry…read moreon Friday nights. After being closed for awhile, we heard there were new owners and decided to try it again and support our local restaurants. We should have known that something was wrong when it's 5:30 and only one table is filled in the whole dining room. We ordered the fish and while we were waiting we were looking around to see if any changes had been made. We didn't see any noticeable improvements; but did notice that the dining room was not clean. Many of the table were even dusty on top! Our meal came and the minute we saw it we were not satisfied. There were 3 pieces of greasy fish and a half of a plate piled with greasy french fries for $12.99! No bread, no coleslaw, no options....only greasy food that we told the waitress we could not eat. She was kind and said we did not have to pay for it; so we still gave her a tip for her trouble. My tip to the owners of Three Bear is to eat their own Friday night fish fry and then they'll understand why no one is in there at 5:30 on a Friday night and their tables are covered with dust!
