Second time here, great little hole in the wall place to stop along the riding trails. The food was as expected (not great but not terrible) The service today was ok (little old lady who should be retired enjoying her life) It's opening day for trails so quite busy. What a cool bar and pizzeria, this is the kind of pizza you find in the Chicagoland area all the way up north in Wisconsin. The owner takes pride in preparing the crust daily, shredding the mozzarella and locally sourcing the ingredients. If you haven't tried it, please do, and if you haven't met the owner, thank her for what she does. She is doing a damn fine job! The value was great for the quality of food and service! Always a go to stop for food on the ATV trails. Pretty extensive menu which is reasonably priced. Good beer selection as well. If riding from Black River to Pray/City Point or anywhere in between, it's worth the stop. read more

I'll give it one star because the pizza was warm. This is the second time I have ordered from here...out of towner on a camping trip. The first time they wouldn't take my order or even ask my order because they were too busy making pizzas on a Friday night. I was told to call back in an hour. I called back and she asked me my order and it was just a cheeseburger and fries and she exasperatedly told me they could manage it. My daughter thought the food was ok, I didn't get anything. This time I called to order and again the person answered the phone with a very exasperated voice and I ordered a cheeseburger and fries and a small pizza. I understand being busy, I understand being stressed but customers are also at their wits end with the economy and expect decent service and good food. My daughter asked a simple question when picking it up, if there was pepperoni on the pizza (it was under the cheese) and the waitress snatched it up and asked the cook about it. She came back and poked the pizza with her finger and said "it's right there!" My daughter said there was no greeting, no thank you, no politeness. Now to the food. The burger was a standard frozen patty and a drenched bottom bun. Get a burger from Kwik trip if you want a comparable burger, however I don't think Kwik Trips buns have quite the sogginess. The fries were hard, ice cold and unsalted. My guess is when I called they started the fries and burger, threw the meal in the styrofoam take out box and created a biodome of moisture from the hot fries and burger, leaching the moisture from the fries into the burger bun. Please. If you serve takeout in styrofoam, allow the food to cool a bit before closing the container. I don't know why takeouts are always treated like a lesser order but I digress. The pizza...the best I can say is Meh. The cheese didn't have much flavor and the crust that they boast is nothing to brag about. If you have no other options and like unfriendly staff, by all means order food from here. They were generous with the ranch which in my opinion was also average. read more

Drove half hour to get here for the great pizza. We're told at 7:30 half hour before they closed but after we orders a drink that they won't make pizza because it will take to long. They already have a pizza order and the kitchen closes at 8. I own a small lounge and restaurant in northern Wisconsin and wouldn't dare turn food away to my guests a minute before the kitchen closes. I was under the impression if you arrive before kitchen closing then you can order food(regardless how long it takes to cook). I wouldn't recommend coming here for pizza or anything but a quick fry appetizer unless it's an hour or more before the kitchen closes! read more

Our family went here for lunch when we were in town. I had a grilled chicken sandwich with mushrooms, onions and cheese and pub fries, which was delicious. My husband had a 12" sausage & pepperoni pizza that he enjoyed and leftovers were a great late night snack. My daughter had the corn dog kid's meal and my son had a BLT & pub fries. All were excellent. Service was prompt and the young woman behind the bar was the only one in the front of the house. She did awesome. read more

The mug is probably the only good community bar in Hatfield. It's fun, ATV trail accessible, has a great beer selection, good food, awesome games, and the best prices. They had a buy one beer get one free deal when I was there so each beer was approximately $1.50. The chicken wrap was excellent and had mixed greens instead of cheap iceberg lettuce. The gyro tasted really great as well. It was a little bit better than typical bar food and not really greasy. There's a shuffleboard, pool table, crane machine games, and video gaming. The service was good and friendly. The bar atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The only thing that needs to go is the cheesy tablecloths and candles. They just do not fit in the bar. Everything else looks cohesive though. read more

A frequent stop for us on the ATV trails. They have a great bar food menu with great pizza, appetizers and beverages. Lots of room in this bar to move around and spread out. They also don't mind if you are muddy and that's amazing when you've been riding all day. read more

I stopped in to use their cash machine and a very unfriendly bartender informed me that that the cash machine was for customers only; said "are you going to buy a drink?", in a nasty tone. My response, "nope". Walk out immediately. The bar would have made more on my ATM transaction than if I bought one drink. read more

Place was great for lunch on the ATV trails. Cant go wrong here. Got a mushroom swiss burger was exelent.

Get here every year at least once for ATV trip and the food is great, staff is friendly. There's a shuffleboard and pool tables here too. read more

The current bar owner is very rude. Ignored us for about 5 minutes and then grabbed himself a beer before taking our order. When we were ready to order he told us to wait so he could find the order pad. He's also very rude when communicating with his employees. Overall not impressed and missing the old owners. read more

We stopped in here on the way to our hunting cabin. We did not have food, but it looked like standard bar fair. The bartender was not very friendly, and immediately asked for our ID's. I prefer to be welcomed to a place, and maybe at least ask how we are doing?! They don't have tap beer, and they also do not have Sandcreek, which is brewed right down the road in Black River Falls. They did have a bucket of 6 shorties for $6, so that was interesting. For what is around here, this place seemed alright. If we go back to hunt in that area again, I can see spening a bit more time there. It would also be interesting to see this place when it was not in the middle of hunting season. read more

Love this place. Part of an ATV group that stay's in the Hatfield area every year. There is always something good to eat, including the daily specials and the pizza is always top notch. As we always go on Holiday weekends, and a flea market right next door, it tends to get very busy on Friday and Saturday. They have a shuffleboard table, couple of arcade games and two pool tables. The layout of the bar is horseshoe and has a very home-like feel to it. Certain nights they will have music/karaoke as well. Bartenders are friendly, never had a bad experience here. read more

Hands down, best pizza in the county. That alone is worth 5 stars. The bartender was busy as could be, but She was awesome. I think her name was Norma, and she didn't miss a beat while serving the entire bar and our group of six hungry and thirsty ATV riders. I would go again and recommend people try the pizza. read more

New bartender (Samantha?) complains about everything and was talking badly about another place she worked for in the area. She wasn't very friendly and continued to talk to a couple sitting down the bar (very loudly) about suing her former boss. The food was great though, so we will be back. It was just really unpleasant to hear of her past experiences. We were there to enjoy ourselves, relax, and have the experience our friends raved about, but decided to leave after eating our food to find a friendlier atmosphere. read more
