Unfortunately, one bad experience does spoil your opinion. I have to say this was our first time out on the lake this season. There were a lot of new deck hands and there is a new manager for the boat club. We have been mostly pleased with our experiences with the boats. The boat was in pretty good shape except for some upholstery issues. The motor ran great. The deck hands were very helpful. But when we came into the dock, there were a couple of other very full boats with lots of passengers that had been pulling tubes. We made the mistake of not sticking around to check and see what the gas fill up was and somehow our fill up got mixed up with one of the other 2 boats that had been pulling tubes. Soooo, we were charged the wrong fuel charge. Our gas gauge barely made it past Full but we were charged $63.46 which meant we would have had to use at least 9 gallons of gas. We might have used at most 3 gallons. After explaining this to the front office, the best they could do was offer us a 5 gallon credit on our next trip out. I'm sorry, but the new management is going to have to do better than that, especially considering they may not remember this so called credit. To any other potential boat club members, pay attention to your gas gauge and the fill ups. Don't leave until you see what it is. read more

Nice marina with a pier. For some reason the pier was closed. Really wish we could have used it to catch some fish. Couldn't really fish from anywhere because of the grass growing close to the beach. read more

Love thissss place.. A must try if you are wanting to rent a boat. Cannot wait to give this place a try again.. We had a boat that fit 10 of us and still had so much room for our floats and ice chest.. you can bring drinks and food as long as you don't have foam or anything glass.. the boat came with one float that was attached to the back of the boat.. 500 for 4 hours is not a bad deal.. it was a great time.. Great place to rent a boat! We came in from our of town and had had renter a boat online. We woke up to cold weather and wanted to change our rental time to later in the day. I started first looking on the internet for local boat rentals. The site was easy to navigate, understand, and make a reservation. Prices and schedule were clear and straightforward. We rented on a weekday and the rental fee had a 25% summer weekday discount, can't beat that! Boat included one water toy( tube) and life vests for kids under 13. When we arrived our GPS took to the exact location, signs provided appropriate directions to marina. Upon arrival, all the staff was helpful, friendly, and informative about the boat and lake. The whole paper work sign in process was easy,quick, and painless. The little store had water clothes, shoes, water necessities, snacks and beverages. Everything about the day was great, we rented on a weekday so there were less people on the lake. No problems with service, lake or boat. Renting the boat gassed up, clean ready to go and then returning it and walking away is awesome! We will definitely return without hesitation. read more

Rented a boat from this marina for the first time May 21, 2020. Better than most marinas I have seen. Modern, obviously recently did upgrades, clean and managed well. I felt treated like a valued customer. The boat was quality, and blown away by the quality of the other boats I saw in the dock. I'm just a guy from San Antonio who was looking for a morning with my son and these guys delivered. When I see those rare instances where someone is managing a business well, they deserve to receive credit. I will be returning as a customer. read more

We rented a pontoon boat and a pwc, we had no complaints with the service, equipment, or staff. Overall was a great experience, we even had to get a rain check because a thunderstorm forced us off the lake. We used the rain check 2 days later on only 30 minutes notice and the staff took care of us. We highly recommend Cranes Mill Marina! read more

Cranes Mill marina has slowly declined in the 20+ years I've been there. They tore down the Tenant's club house because the AC went out and they didn't want to spend money to replace it. One of the 240v transformers failed so they replaced it with a 208v transformer and keep delaying correcting it - obviously this is effecting the 240v boats. The Tenants restrooms use to have combination locks but they were removed, now anyone can come in off the lake to use the restrooms plus the marina fails to keep the restrooms clean or the trash emptied. There are a number of boats that haven't seen their owners in years and are filthy - the marina makes no effort to make the owners maintain their boats. The are numerous slip fingers that are sinking. The price of gas is at a minimum $1.50 above the street price. About the only improvement they'e made in the last 10 years was they've installed wifi - but it is slow and erratic. And they just raised rates again about 3%. read more
