Suoer neat and friendly place. 5 miles speed limit strictly implemented for safety. Clean bathroom and good wi-fi connection. The place is simply serene. Close To stores. Plus a few mikes are two of the most beauty Il water falls.

Beautiful area, sites, and friendly staff! We highly recommend if you're in the area!

All set up, Jeep is backed in and ready for the next adventure.

Only a few words are needed to tell y'all about this campground. TOP NOTCH! The location, the sites, the employees and the activities. Thank you for a safe clean spot to spend the week seeing Crater Lake, waterfalls, the gorge and the views. Amazing. Simply amazing!

Visited over Labor Day weekend with two friends that own RVs. We rented ours and this was our very first RV camping trip. First off we checked in at the office and given a simple orientation of the campgrounds as well as nearby hikes and falls etc. There is a newly built clean bathroom and showers that don't require coins! We were then escorted by golf cart to our site. The camp host made sure we were parked properly and pointed out the sewer and electric connections. There is also a community area that offered breakfast and light dinner with music on the weekend. The campsite was nice and reasonable spaced sites with many trees in between. The camp host made periodic visits throughout day providing propane or ice delivery as needed, payments collected at office at your convenience. The owner of the campsite also lives in their own house at the front of the property. He built a cool toy electric powered train set for campers to enjoy. We hiked during the day and chilled with our friends at night. We drove to Crater Lake about 30 minutes away. Super beautiful views that is a must see. Nice and quiet RV park. We would definitely want to visit again.

Stayed here for one night while we were driving around the Pacific Northwest. Just an FYI- it's about 45 minutes from Crater Lake, but I'm the winter the park closes its RV camp sites. Here is what was fantastic about Crater Lake RV: 1. The staff! Linda, the camp host, checked us in and provided helpful info. Also gave us a small hand made info sheet about the surrounding area (see more below). Was shown our site by a very helpful young lady but the park is kinda small so don't worry about getting lost. 2. Small trail that runs along the back is a great place to walk the dog. Leads to a portion of the Rogue river. While not stunning there it is peaceful and pretty enough. 3. We were pleasantly surprised by Prospect's natural attractions (listed on the hand drawn map given to us by Linda). After busting Crater Lake we thought this was just a small town trying to get people to hang around for another hour or so to visit the "must see" attractions. We were wrong! The two waterfalls were impressive, falling over 170 and 200 plus feet! The natural bridge, was a lava tube that now has water rushing through it after a collapse. They are easy to access so good for kids and dogs. The park does have some long term residents who aren't as clean as they should be, but some adorably decorated for Halloween. You can hear the highway but it is not loud. Full hookup with water and electric for about $33 plus a $1 Dog fed was very reasonable to us. The showers were small but clean and had hot water. I bet they get steamy in the summer. Overall a great stay!

Full hook-ups for a good price near Crater Lake. Sites/setting: Sites are very narrow with little outdoor "living space." Many sites are partially separated by trees/wood patches. Gravel pads, ours was fairly level. Many long term residents. Some of which do not seem to have any standards/regulations set that they need to follow. Tarps were used to cover their campers, piles of other "storage" items, 4-wheelers, etc. One resident had at least 6 bags of trash outside their camper during our entire 3-night stay. One of these residents was our "next door neighbor," so we had a nice view of a pile of junk covered by tarps (see picture). Amenities/Utilities: All sites have picnic tables. You can have a fire ring delivered to your site with wood for $10.50; HOWEVER, make sure you have a site that they allow fires. There are about 5 sites that you cannot have a fire (including ours- site 19) WiFi was available, but i could only get it to work (slowly) when I was outside. I did not have cell service while there either. Prospect was only a mile away and had a gas station (with diesel opened 8am-8pm), a small grocery/country store, and a couple restaurants. I did not see a laundry facility, but I may have missed it. No dog park or doggie bags provided. Activities: There is access to the river, but we didn't have a chance to check it out. It took us about 45 minutes to get to Crater Lake's south entrance and a little over an hour to get to the north side. Natural Bridge was only about 10 minutes away. No military discount offered. My rating was based on the site we were given and our experience there. I honestly think we got a bum spot and could have enjoyed our stay more in a different site.

After reading all reviews from multiple websites, I booked Crater Lake RV Park and decided I would trust the 5 stars. We pulled in just after 3 pm and immediately noticed how clean the park was. The staff provided a list of surrounding hikes to waterfalls, Crater Lake, and directions to The Top of the World lookout, where you can see (on a clear day) for miles - it's a fantastic view and a must-see! The park has excellent wi-fi coverage! The outside of the office has a vast display of pamphlets for sightseeing. Inside, the office, it's clean and has books and other items of interest. Menus for the local eateries were handy. Prospect Pizza is a must and only a 0.7-mile drive. The staff drove us to our pull-in spot, where we noticed we had extra room for our Jeep when we unhooked. Across from our site was one of the two paths leading to the Rouge River and lake. Walking on the path surrounded by lush greenery has you thinking you are deep into the forest as you can listen to the rushing water of the Upper Rouge River. The river and lake are easy to access. The park is tranquil, and everyone was friendly to wave hello when walking by. Quiet hours are 10 pm to 8 am; it felt like it was quiet all day, so there was no need to worry about wanting the silence. The park's vicinity made it easy to venture out daily to the surrounding excursions. It was hard to leave when it came time to go back home.

We were so fortunate to find this place! Sites have privacy, nice clean bathrooms, fire ring and firewood delivered to our site for a small fee. Hiking trails right out of the park. Easy in, easy out. Office staff gave us info and maps on local hiking and beautiful falls that were just minutes away from the park. Crater Lake south entrance was about a 40 minute drive. Awesome place.

If you're traveling to Crater Lake like I was and didn't make plans on where to stay or sleep while…read morevisiting...I highly recommend coming here to this campground...Thousand Springs Park!!! Yes...Thousand Springs was perfect for me. And for all those tourists coming to Crater Lake with their RV's or traveling spontaneously with a tent (like I was), Thousand Springs Campground is 5 stars. I visited Crater Lake over the summer time and accommodations everywhere inside the park were filled and or taken. The Rim Village Lodge was occupied and very expensive. The Mazama Village campground area was filled up. Unless you're going to park your car along a rest stop around the perimeter of Crater Lake...there was nowhere to stay or sleep. Even if you decide to crash at an overlook, I could definitely envision a Park Ranger knocking on your window and forcing you to move your car. Lol, it's been done to me before. Fortunately, a lady who worked at Mazama Village recommended coming here. And I couldn't have been more "last second lucky" that she mentioned something to me because during my first day exploring around Crater Lake...I had nowhere to go at the end of the day. Also, cell phone reception at Crater Lake was virtually non-existent. So...I couldn't use my cell phone app called Campendium to find a locale to camp for the evening. But...this nice lady revealed to me, this, Thousand Springs Campground. And...I'm happy to relay this place to everyone else who may need a quick night's rest while hanging out at remote Crater Lake National Park. Thousand Springs Campground is located pretty efficiently away from Mazama Village. It's simply 11 miles heading west on State Highway 62 (known as Crater Lake Highway). It can't be missed along the road. There'll be a sign for it (though go slow just in case) and you make a left into a giant parking lot. Drive up the little pathway onto a smooth, dirt hill and easily pick out a campsite. There was no Camp Host and best of all...it's free! I will admit that camping space was limited. I'm not sure how many campsites were offered. The first night I arrived here I discovered a spot right away. In describing the setting here at Thousand Springs...it was situated in the heart of the woods. I backed into a spot and pitched my tent. The surroundings were just terrific!!! It was nice and quiet. The campsite had a little pit for barbecuing. It was like having my own little private resort. I couldn't believe what a hidden gem this place was!!! Right nearby in the front entrance area, there were 2 vault toilets. But yeah, there was no need to sign up or pay for anything. It was first come, first served. I still to this day reflect about how a campground so close and accessible to Crater Lake (easy 11 mile drive from Mazama Village!) could be so undisturbed! Obviously after my 2nd day exploring around Crater Lake...I immediately returned here. Though, upon arriving on the grounds for my 2nd evening...a few of the campsites were taken and I believe I found one of the last spots available. Otherwise, I may have been out of luck. In the front parking lot area, there were a few RV's who parked their campers for the overnight. Both times that I camped out at Thousand Springs...of course I had wonderful night's sleeps. I had no issues whatsoever. Waking up in the mornings, I casually got myself together and ventured back to Crater Lake for more hiking and exploring. In all, I am totally surprised Thousand Springs Campground has not been talked about yet on Yelp. Maybe people want to keep it as a hidden location all for themselves. But I'm pretty excited to be revealing it. This campground was my saving grace while visiting Crater Lake. Without coming here, I believe I'd be stuck on the side of the road sleeping in my car. Thousand Springs Park - a 5 Star campground!!!

August 30 - Sept 3, 2025 - Diamond Lake, Oregon…read more We've stayed at this RV park several times, and like many others, it really helps to know the layout ahead of time--some sites are definitely better than others. I studied the campground map and chose what looked like a great spot: spacious, tucked in the back, and away from the road. Unfortunately, it turned out to be very unlevel with a noticeable slope. We had to use levelers on one side and add blocks under the jacks. Not exactly the most stable setup, but we managed to make it work. There are plenty of campgrounds in this area, but if you want hookups, the options are limited. That's one of the reasons we return to this park--it's right across the road from Diamond Lake, just a short drive to Crater Lake, close to the Rogue River Gorge, and within easy reach of several waterfalls. The location makes it a convenient base for exploring the region. Be aware there's no cell service at the campground. We found a signal only by walking over to the pizza restaurant across the street, which, as it turns out, also serves pretty good pizza. One of our favorite evening activities was simply sitting at our campsite at dusk and watching the bats swoop around for dinner--a fun and memorable way to end the day. Overall, while the uneven sites can be a challenge, the location and surroundings make this RV park a solid choice, and we'll likely return again.

What a beautiful national park!…read more Came here on a day where the weather changed between partly cloudy/sunny and snowy/rainy. The snowy surroundings created a nice contrast against the very deep blue color of the lake. In the early morning, it was very peaceful. There were not many people around, likely because of weather. The Steel Visitor Center's film was excellent to get a sense of the geology and history of the park. The lodge also offered an excellent meal with a partial view of the lake. Because of the snow, we were not able to go on the Rim Drive or hike the trails. I would imagine all the views would have been beautiful. The Cleetwood Cove trail down to the lake is closed for 3 summers, through 2028. Surprisingly not busy for memorial day weekend although we started early on a sunday morning and a lot of the park was still closed for the season, there was snow! My 3 year old was very pleased. Lot's of cute shops for goodies and campgrounds along the way. We stayed an hour away but the drive felt fast and scenic. A nice breath of fresh air. The large parking lot seemed to fill up fast to see the lake, but super close so very accessible. A few hikes were open but honestly just sitting and admiring the lake does the trick. Would love to come back and visit when more of the park is open!
