Nestled between Crater Lake and Klamath Falls this little gem, located on the banks of the Williamson River, is a terrific place to park your RV. There is a patch of grass at each spot, laundry facilities and a playground for the kids. It's right off Hwy 97 and there are train tracks nearby but surprisingly neither were bothersome from inside our RV, while we slept. This is our second time staying here and I'm sure we'll be back again in the future!

Waterwheel RV Park We stayed 3 nights at the Waterwheel RV Park in September 2022. Site 20. Our site was a pull through with full hookups, it's slightly shorter than most of the other sites. We had to park our tow vehicle in the overflow parking which was close by so not a problem. This is a very nice clean park with laundry and shower facilities. Right on the Williamson River and the staff was very friendly. From here we drove into Crater Lake National Park to Klamath Falls and a hidden gem, the Train Mountain Railroad Museum which is REALLY cool don't miss it.

The owner really cares about the park and her guests. We enjoy coming here, and we will be back again and again.

    Our campsite - EPIC!!

We booked this place super last minute, like a day before we arrived, and we still got an epic site. Check out the photos I posted. We arrived after hours, but the late check in process was super easy. This is not a large RV park so it is easy to find your spot. The bathrooms and showers are very clean and seem remodeled within the last few years. The "playground" is probably 30+ years old but it kept our kids attention for 26 minutes. The dock is fun and the landscaping around the campground is maintained well. All staff were very friendly. The price was awesome as well. No complaints here!

I have to agree with every other 5 star rating. We were on our way south and knew we'd be driving by and maybe it would be the right time. We didn't have reservations and almost missed the turn-off. It didn't look the same as on the website. That's because the website was of the park so don't miss it! It's a fantastic RV park and would be a top choice if we through again. All sites are pull throughs and give a great river view. Evidently it's one of the top trout rivers anywhere. My first impression driving in was the office. That's a pretty sharp looking campground office. Next, I got to meet "Mom" and throughly enjoyed listening to the store of the place. What a nice lady. The park is clean and kept manicured. The bathrooms and laundry are sparkling clean and new! It really is a top notch park. It definitely is a nice place and well worth the five stars.

We called while we were traveling upstate. We pulled into a beautiful river front site. It was quiet and relaxing. The bathrooms were clean and the site was great. I don't like over crowded RV places and found this one more my speed. If you are looking for a nice relaxing place, where you can enjoy the river, this is the place.

Let me tell you, this place I absolutely cannot wait to visit again. Dog friendly, kid friendly, next to Williamson River, with a boat launch, 20 minutes away from Crater Lake, super clean, very quiet, and easily accessible from the highway, huge field right behind with horses and a gorgeous view of the sunset. It was heaven. I can't wait to stay there again next year.

Quiet, Quaint and Convenient! We were on a road trip from Northern Ca to Idaho and needed somewhere to stay the night and rest up. This was the perfect spot. Right off the highway(but not too close) and on the amazing river. Sites are pretty close together, but we had nice neighbors so we were fine. Sites had a small BBQ right on the ground, hook ups and a picnic table. We enjoyed pull through site #6 and it was so easy to pull right out and leave in the morning. The lady at check in Was super friendly and helpful. And having a tiny play area for my kiddos was clutch after a long drive. The campsite is all gravel so no bike or scooter riding. The river was amazing and even had a very nice dock with benches to relax and enjoy the view. The only negative was a near by residential neighbor that came flying into the park to yell at another camper for driving too fast near the main road. Watch your speed or he'll come after you! We would for sure stay again if we were passing through.

The place is great. We have been coming here for 30 years but stopped a few years ago because it had become so run down. The new owners put some love into this place and we will be coming back again. Next time for a few days. The bathrooms are so well done. The grass is looking so nice. Hope to bring my grandson here to fish someday.. like I brought his Daddy here when he was a kid. Loved the hostess she is very sweet. Gave us a good tip for dinner. The Mexican restaurant down the road was really good. Such a pretty place. Worth checking out.

She said she would come get us in 10 or 20 minutes which she never did. When I asked what happened 45 minutes later as we waited she became combative. Told me I couldn't expect a window tabke on Memorial Day when she just told us we could get one if we waited ten or 20 minutes. She was ridiculous, telling me there were no window tanked available, when I had a reservation AND waited per her instructions. It ruined my husband's birthday. The host there was rude and condescending when we just wanted the table we reserved and waited for. Wish I had gotten her name, but we just left pissed off. You know what? Maybe don't put a child there? With no manners. It's not the first time it's happened to us either. It's a bad look for LOW and it ruined my husband's birthday for no reason. She told us 10 to 20 minutes. Then she was pissed that we wanted the table we reserved. Were are disappointed because we are locals who go there all the time. What utter bullshit. That host cost you money. I hope you at least talk to the person. She has a bad attitude and we did not. I guess she was freaked out because it was busy? Whatever it was, she was inappropriate and ruined our day. Will start going to Harriman's or the Running Y. They are decent and respectful to people. Christ! Do something. Thank you!

To be fair, this was one of the busiest weekends I've ever seen there. As a business owner myself, I understand that on extremely busy days things don't always go as planned, and because of that I was willing to overlook quite a bit. We stayed in Chipmunk Condo Cabin #3. The cabin had a musty smell and a very small bathroom. The beach area was great for families, and my daughter absolutely loved it. The biggest issue was the food and customer service. Around 2 PM on our first day, we stopped to get pizza for lunch while waiting for our cabin and found out they were already sold out. Since there aren't many nearby dining options, I stopped by the lodge around 6:45 PM to specifically ask when they stopped seating guests. The two younger employees seemed annoyed and unsure but eventually told me the last seating would be at 7:45 PM. I explained that I was traveling with my wife, a 2-year-old, and a 3-month-old, and that driving an hour to Ashland or Klamath Falls for dinner wasn't ideal. We hurried back to the cabin, got ready, and returned around 7:35 PM, only to be immediately told they couldn't seat us because they were too busy and had a large party. My question was simple: Why wasn't I told that when I specifically came in earlier to ask? Had they explained the situation, I would have gladly come sooner. After asking to speak with a manager, who never actually came out, we were suddenly able to be seated. Once inside, there were several empty tables available, which made the whole situation even more confusing. Our server seemed annoyed from the moment we sat down. We decided to order our food to go instead of dining in, and even that seemed to bother him. When I politely provided feedback about the miscommunication, his response was essentially, "Well, we got you seated, didn't we?" That completely missed the point. The issue wasn't whether we eventually got a table. The issue was being given incorrect information and then nearly being turned away despite arriving before the stated seating cutoff. The next morning, we discovered mice had chewed through snacks we had left on the kitchen counter overnight. There are no cabinets available to store food. When I reported it, the manager apologized and explained that even the cabin she lives in on-site has mice because they're in the forest. While that explanation makes sense, it didn't make my wife feel any better with a 3-month-old baby sleeping in the cabin. The second day, pizza was available for lunch and was actually very good. The older gentleman working there was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, when we returned around 6 PM for dinner, pizza was sold out again. My wife then tried ordering dinner to go from the lodge and was given a completely different takeout menu that excluded many of the better dinner options, including items we had ordered to go the night before. When she asked if she could order from the regular dinner menu, she was told absolutely not. The inconsistency made no sense. At that point, we'd had enough. Between the restaurant issues, the mice, and the overall lack of customer service, we decided to cut our trip short and leave a day early. The lake and beach are beautiful and have the potential to make this a great family destination. Unfortunately, poor communication, inconsistent service, restaurant issues, and mice in the cabins overshadowed what could have been a wonderful stay. Mice may be part of being in the woods, but regular preventative pest control inside the cabins would go a long way toward making guests feel more comfortable.

August 30 - Sept 3, 2025 - Diamond Lake, Oregon…read more We've stayed at this RV park several times, and like many others, it really helps to know the layout ahead of time--some sites are definitely better than others. I studied the campground map and chose what looked like a great spot: spacious, tucked in the back, and away from the road. Unfortunately, it turned out to be very unlevel with a noticeable slope. We had to use levelers on one side and add blocks under the jacks. Not exactly the most stable setup, but we managed to make it work. There are plenty of campgrounds in this area, but if you want hookups, the options are limited. That's one of the reasons we return to this park--it's right across the road from Diamond Lake, just a short drive to Crater Lake, close to the Rogue River Gorge, and within easy reach of several waterfalls. The location makes it a convenient base for exploring the region. Be aware there's no cell service at the campground. We found a signal only by walking over to the pizza restaurant across the street, which, as it turns out, also serves pretty good pizza. One of our favorite evening activities was simply sitting at our campsite at dusk and watching the bats swoop around for dinner--a fun and memorable way to end the day. Overall, while the uneven sites can be a challenge, the location and surroundings make this RV park a solid choice, and we'll likely return again.

We'd just come from a gross Thousand Trails and a loud state park. Coming here with the clean (and air conditioned!!) bathrooms and showers was lovely. The hosts were so nice. And it just felt quiet and relaxing, only punctuated by territorial stallions making a fuss. Nice additions are the giant shaded area with picnics tables and Adirondack chairs to hang out in- our space didn't have a tree so the shaded option was much appreciated. The room was just what I needed: a comfortable bed, a hot shower, AC and heat. BONUS: a kitchenette, cubes to charge your devices, tiny gas powered fireplace, desk with chair, box fan, etc. Plus a carport for the car. I felt safe there.
