For the price, it's well worth it. You just have to know it's going to be warm in the summer. We have full hook up for our trailer, a picnic table and fire pit which is great. Bathrooms have single, lockable showers. It's dry, hot, and hard for the kids to play. The loop is narrow and one way which makes traffic a little tricky at times and not good for kids riding bikes in my opinion. They can't play around the camp spot because of the thistle without long pants and boots. We had the lake to ourselves this morning which was nice. We kayaked, didn't swim. The water slides are open Monday, Thursday, Fri-Sun, June-Sept. Pay for it. It's well worth it. The line moves quick and the kids had a great time. The snack bar has treats. Heads up, cash only. Great playground too when it's not in the 90°s. read more

July 18th, 2026. Not a place to take kids camping when camping in an RV. We are on a literal straight cliff. Also, they took down the water slide in 2022, so that is a major downfall. My dog has stickers & pokies all over him because there isn't normal grass ANYWHERE. My family & I showed up in sandals & had slivers/stickers all in our sandals. Very painful. Their website photos are either edited or were taken a long time ago because this place looks nothing like it did on the website. If you're looking for a great family camping spot, this is NOT a good one. read more

We stopped here on our drive to Cali and took our camper instead of a hotel. Great idea, not far off I5- about 10 minutes and great campgrounds that overlook the lake. Our site had electric hook ups. Our campsite was super close to the lake and we had a wonderful view. Way better than a hotel and I'm glad we decided to tow our trailer to Cali. We will definitely do it again and stay here again. read more

Very nice, chill campground. Cheap. $20 a night. Camp host was a very nice lady who has firewood for $6 a bundle. They allow hammock camping as well. Clean restrooms, lots of water spigots close by. The two restroom buildings have nice hot showers. The upper, older showers are coin operated, but it's worth a dollar to not wait for the free one. Camping in an oak grove is very cozy. Best place in the area for the money when you're traveling through. I came on a Friday night and it had plenty of spaces available. read more

Most recent stay was 04/05/2016 - I'm "late" in posting my review ~ We camp in a "Tear Drop style RV" only 15' long w/o toilet or shower and thus rely on campgrounds facilities ~ so our critique is focused in that area. All PROS - no CONS, just a perfect setting for a public campground without the crowding and commercialism of the private campgrounds you normally find at the privates. The best thing is, this Jackson County public facility has full hookups, asphalt pads, sturdy well maintained picnic tables with fire ring + a newer more modern bathhouse with hot showers that are full on ceramic tiled walls ~ individual private rooms with locking doors. There is a soap dish, hooks for your stuff and a bench in each room ~ wear your clogs. You have to enter another door in same building for the restrooms and sinks [wish they had hooks and shelves in there for your stuff]. The grounds are kept neat and tidy ~and~ you have a view of the lake from every site. Best campsites are in "The Point" campground #'s 12 thru 20 are excellent, but really there's no "bad" site. Also - registered campers do NOT pay the $4.00 entrance fee ~ it's included with your stay. Wish they had better signage directing you to "The Point" ~ as you enter the main part of the park, there IS a sign with an arrow, but it does not direct you to "the Point" it's for a different campground in the park; you have to continue straight on the main road to reach "The Point". When / if traveling through southern Oregon, we wouldn't hesitate to stop here again ~ but strongly suggest making a reservation as it's quite popular. read more

I'm giving this place five stars for the following reasons-- 1) they accommodated us at last minute notice as we were going through Ashland and needed a place for the night, 2) the hosts were nice and attuned to our request, 3) our spot had plenty of space and leveled as such that we didn't have to do much, 4) the bathrooms and toilets are clean, 5) and the entire place is well maintained. We stayed here in a 24 feet trailer and towed vehicle. We plan on staying here again next time around. read more

We stayed there last minute in our Coach (43') plenty of room to get around, at least 10 spots right on the lake, price is super reasonable $35 per night, some good walking trails, but watch for the poison oak... They also have a small water slide park that runs in the summer months. We will return. read more

Pretty little lake outside of Ashland Oregon. Easy to get to and adequate space for our RV. It was a great overnight spot.

We made our RV's maiden voyage at Emigrant. Clean, quiet, and peaceful. Our site had amazing views of the lake, and the short hiking trail near The Point was perfect for a morning walk with the dogs. read more

The RV Park is infested with Star Thistle. It is so widespread that it limits where you and your pets can walk. We weren't even able to use the picnic table for fear of getting our feet punctured by this nasty weed. Sure enough, two days after returning home our dog began limping. He developed an infection between two of his toes due to a puncture wound. The vet believes that the timing of this indicates that he received the injury during our stay at the park. After surgery and a $334 bill, Toby is on the mend. I have written to John Vial at the Jackson County Parks and urged him to eradicate the weed for the safety of park visitors. It is obvious they are trying to control this problem by mowing the thistle, but that only makes it worse. Plus, the camp host says that they can't even mow it during fire season. It's a tough situation that will require spending some money, but the Parks department really needs to get serious about this dangerous situation before more pets and people get injured. read more

We have stayed here twice, now. It is a bummer the water slide closes so early. We barely made it once, and missed it the second time completely. We don't use the facilities, so I don't know how they looked. But the place is clean outside. It isn't all paved, so expect some dirt. Easy site access. It was packed last week. read more

Just went camping here. We've been several times, however, this was the worst experience ever. It's really ghetto now, full of tweakers, the camp host in the RV spots aren't suppose to allow tent campers and we counted 7 tents in the RV area (website says "no tent camping allowed, strictly enforced") and a couple taking up RV spots, ended up having to tent camp. This place is great for fishing/swimming and that's about it. If you don't mind not getting very much sleep due to disrespectful, loud and rude people, then this is the perfect spot for you and or your family. It use to be super family friendly, no rift raft and full of respectful campers. People were blaring music at 1am, partying and being loud until at least 2am, lots of screaming and yelling. It was horrible, it woke us up out of a dead sleep, even our girls that are very deep sleepers. I'd rather spend my money else where next time even though it's super convenient for our family. Don't walk around the lake though without water shoes or something covering your feet due to loads and loads of broken glass everywhere. The showers are disgusting and so are the bathrooms, except for a few. No soap in the bathrooms to wash your hands after using the restroom. read more

I would give this 3.5 stars if I could but I have no heartburn giving it a 4. It is a nice place, very clean and fairly quiet. The facilities are very nice (the showers take quarters but my entire family was able to shower on a single quarter so not that big a deal). The hook ups were readily available (power, water and sewer) and easy to get to. When we got there, the "camp host" was not around but we just went ahead and parked at our spot - which was clearly marked as reserved by us, a nice touch. As with most RV parks, the "neighbors" were all great. It's actually inside a county park and the overall park is very nice, there are boat launches, water slides, etc (see the website) but we simply stayed at our site. The downsides were: 1) very little to no shade and it was about 100 degrees; 2) the lake is picturesque but the shoreline is all rocks and thistles so it wasn't very fun to swim. Mostly seems to be a boating lake. Ashland is only about 15 min away and is a great spot to eat / shop, etc. You can even see some authentic Oregon slackers hanging out in front of coffee shops with "Help Wanted" signs begging for change. The RV spots sit on a bluff over the lake which was wonderful. I would go back again. read more
