Having spent a week in Oregon, we have done our fair share of distilleries.. 5 in Portland, 1 in Eugene and 3 in Denver to be exact. I had visited Bendistillery before, and was just as happy on our second visit. First of all, it is free! Whoo, hoo! Second best thing,is the setting! They have seating outside with a gorgeous view of the mountains. The alcohol is legit. They have a selection of Vodkas, Gins and Whiskeys, and fun bottles such as Sweet Ginger Vodka, Hatch Green Chile Vodka, Pepper Vodka and Hazelnut Espresso Vodka. Added bonus they sell fun cocktails using their alcohol for three bucks a pop. Quite an extensive list. If you are in the area, make the quick drive out to bend distillery. Cheers! read more

A true boutique distillery. Small operation and they bottle by hand. Most of the botanicals they use in their gin or volka are grown onsite or local. Their gin and volka are not stand-outs. However I like the candied ginger volka. Great for sipping on a cold winter night. read more

This place was one of the highlights of my stay in Bend. I really can't say enough good things about it. Setting/ambiance: a bit off the main road but worth it! Crater Lake spirits which we learned is technically designated as a farm has a great mountain view of Mt. Bachelor. There are options to sit inside but we sat outside on the Adirondack chairs (which are always a favorite of mine). The booze: This place lets you get up to 6 free tastings of the alcohol they make on site (out of 9 possible options). They also will make you up to two cocktails as well. These cocktails will only cost you $3 bucks a pop and are delicious. I got the cocoa puff martini and the key lime martini and loved both. We also took an impromptu tour of the distillery. It's a small little place so it was only about 15 minutes but I learned a bunch and our guide was great. We left a very happy group and the whole outing cost our group $15 plus tip. The reserve rye and all of the black butte whiskeys are just so mind blowingly good. The service at all their locations = great. They make awesome cocktails and their flights are an easy way to try everything. They've got cool merchandise. We've been fans of Crater Lake Vodka for years, but have never visited the distillery before. The tasting room is well organized and offers products not available in our local markets. We especially enjoyed the pepper-infused vodka and the diamond vodka that's additionally filtered. It's very smooth! We didn't sample the cocktails offered in the tasting room, but other visitors report that they are tasty. This is a great opportunity to sample some of our local wares! read more

Loved it!!!!! A great selection and the staff was extremely helpful and super friendly! Walked in empty handed and walked about with six bottles of awesomeness! The free samples sure helped decide on my favorites. The Crater Lake Hazelnut Espresso Vodka is to die for!! Their regular Vodka is so darn smooth. It's completely appropriate to drink before noon on vacation right?! On a day on vacation in Bend I found myself at the Bendistillery at 11am. Yup. Who cares it was delicious and this is what vacation's about right? They were super friendly and they had cocktails for sampling as well as just plain samples. We all had a lovely cocktail out on the patio and went home with some recipes and alcohol to enjoy. No tasting fee. We split a tasting flight - high quality and interesting variations. The 10 fte red vodka was smooth with a touch of vanilla finish as described. We fell in love with the sweet ginger vodka - straight was outstanding, even though I don't ever drink straight vodka. We bought the whiskey, ginger vodka and regular vodka to take home. They offer a limit of one per person cocktail ($3 ea). I had the Greyhound with the ginger vodka, incredible. My husband had the Cocoa Puff with hazelnut espresso vodka. Stopped by last Saturday for tasting and a tour that were by the way FREE! What a fabulously wonderful place and the employees were amazing, very informative and friendly. We had 6 tasting samples each and again did I mention they were FREE! Then we splurged for a tasting cocktail that was only $3 the Key Lime martini OMG so yummy so refreshing and smooth! Came home with 2 bottles of spirits! I'll definitely be back the next time I visit Bend/Sisters! read more

We had an expired gift card that they kindly tweaked but still let us use (for mini cocktails and t-shirts). The tour isn't much, as the distillery is very small and our guide was new/said she'd only lived in Bend 8 months. Come for the amazing spirits! We loved the Hatch Chili vodka, Pepper vodka, and Hazelnut Expresso vodka. Their liquor license only allows them to serve each person 2 mini drinks, even though I would have loved to have another! The Cocopuff, Provocateur, and Bloody Mary were amazing! We'll definietely be back with friends! read more

Outstanding spirits inspired by the slow food movement - launched before there even was such a thing. The taste of whole, fresh ingredients sets products like Mazama, Cofia, and Cascade Mountain Gin apart from the rest. Got here 20 minutes after closing time b/c website listed different hours than pamphlet. However, the bartender who was cleaning up was kind enough to not only let us in to buy a few bottles, but was extremely patient with our indecisiveness and let us try several different things before making our final selections. Highly recommend for taste (Pepper vodka won out, but the horseradish would have made a mean bloody mary), and convenience (they sell smaller plastic bottles perfect for travelers), but also for great customer service. read more
