Crawfish is seasonal only and although I'm not a huge crawfish fan - will eat a few when they have in season ! I'm actually here for the shrimp that's served year round though. If I could eat 10 lbs and be medically fine, I would. Make sure you get a side of gumbo and crawfish étouffée. This place is BYOB - so bring your favorite bottle beer. Outdoor seating is plentiful... I didn't have high hopes seeing as decent crawfish is hard to come by in this area, but this place exceeded all of my expectations. The crawfish shell is crisp while the meat is tender and cooked to perfection. The cook has perfected the crawfish boil technique. There's a good kick when you suck the claws and head and that spice carries over into the corn as well. This south Louisiana transplant has found my happy place! This is how real cajuns boil up their mud bugs. These crawfish are perfectly seasoned--no need to make a frigging mess with cayenne pepper dumped on top of bland boiled crawfish. Lots of other options too. Hidden jem! We had the shrimp plate, lobster plate and red beans and rice. The food was delicious! People are super friendly. It is BYOB and there is a package store right next door which, is fantastic! When it isn't blazing hot there is a great patio area where you can play horseshoes, table and chairs and music.
