I've never ordered ribs at a BBQ place and received boneless ribs, and I feel like it should be specified when you order. But, the ribs were good. Pulled pork was also good. Neither blew our minds. Mashed potatoes were good. I'm pretty sure the green beans were canned, but they were pretty good canned green beans! I like that there are so many menu options. I don't always want BBQ, and usually if you're at a BBQ place that's all you can get. If someone is craving BBQ, you can go to Backyard BBQ and have non-BBQ options. Went back (with a group of ladies for our weekly lunch outing) and the organizer choose Backyard Bbq. Last visit I didn't have the best experience but I went anyway and I'm pleasantly surprised with my experience this last time (especially in comparison to my prior review) I ordered a sweet and saucy Bbq sandwich and had a half order of the bubba fries! The lunchtime service on this visit was fabulous; kind and efficient. The sweet tea, perfectly sweetened without being a syrupy mess, the bubba fries were crispy, fried perfectly, seasoned just right and served with ranch! They were so calorie-worthy; the only way to enjoy fries imo--they have to be hot, crispy on the outside, fluffy and tender inside and seasoned and these wedges of deliciousness were! The sandwich was a perfect mix of Smokey and sweet and oh so tasty! I have found the holy grail items in this menu! So glad I gave them another chance! read more

I had the Fried Catfish Basket with a Side Salad and Thousand Island Dressing! The fish was hot and crispy with plenty of flavor. My daughter had the Hand Cut 16 oz. Ribeye with a Sid Salad with Ranch Dressing. The steak was cooked just right. It wasn't overly seasoned and tasted great with a little salt added served with a side of Green Beans. So me and husband drove from Killeen to come eat dinner not realizing they close at 9pm. The blonde short haired bartender was so rude to my husband. She can have her boyfriend and baby up there and we have to wait for her to attend to us.. but when it's closing time she definitely let my husband know she was doing closing procedures: of course 20 minutes before they closed. We definitely will spend our money else where and I don't plan to come back for awhile. She needs to learn customer service if this is her line of business she chose to be in. We used to go here about 5 years ago and decided to try it again as we were craving a good burger and fries. First off, I'm not a fan of restaurants turning their establishment into a political statement. Just makes you feel uncomfortable if your views don't match. It's fine though, free country and business owners can do whatever they want and we respect that. The burger was just not good - mine was overcooked and not seasoned well, my wife's was undercooked and not seasoned at all. The fries were also terrible - not even crispy.. too much potato. We went on 5/28/25 and as you can see by the attached receipt that we were charged $16 upcharge to have bacon and cheese added to our french fries!! Best ribs I've ever had, and we have eaten all around the country. They took me by surprise bc in my experience beef ribs are never as tender as pork. These fell off the bone, were super moist, and had had nice texture. Some places slather so much sauce it seems more about the sauce than the ribs. Here, the flavor of the meat is outstanding. Not too wet, cuts with a fork except for the nice bark of course. Also fantastic burger, and outstanding fries. Not something you necessarily think we would be soo impressed! We eat a lot of good burgers and didn't anticipate loving this so much. We got the Big Ranch burger with bacon, grilled onions and ranch dressing, it comes on a sourdough bun.
