A very cute book store good for dates, having lavender coffee while listening to live poetry or just browsing for a unique gift.

This bookstore offers more that books and wisdom it offers a sense of relaxation and creativity. I wondered around amazed by the variety of spiritual themed books, bought some and then followed my nose that led me to the upper floor where I ordered my tea, an interesting blend that enhances the base chakra, and enjoyed reading one of the books I bought in the living room feeling tea room. Crazy Wisdom is a really special place - unlike anywhere else I've ever been. The tea room is excellent and I really appreciate all the events and talks that they host. Whenever I'm downtown, I always have to stop in and look around. There's always something new and cool. I also can't express how grateful I am for the Crazy Wisdom Journal. It's free! And it's such a great resource - I know I've found a number of events and classes I've attended in the Calendar section. I'm really glad this place exists. read more

I love the atmosphere of this bookstore. It is a peaceful place to let the stress of the day melt away. I often will browse the selection in the book store for tidbits of wisdom and new sources of inspiration. My favorite stop though is settling with a cup of their delicious teas. read more

This place captures everything that I love: Buddhism, coffee, paranormal, meditation, green living, radical activism, magic, etc... It really is my favorite store in the world. This place makes me feel zen just by walking in the door. Two fairy doors to spy, lots of books and pretty necklaces to be tempted by, up to the tea house and chilling area. Pleasant space to work (laptop friendly) or talk (even more people do this!) or read. The barristas know every tea under the sun and are willing to mix teas if you want something special. The tea menu is extensive, limited coffees and food items as well. Get the almond cake- you won't regret it! Perfect with a black tea to complement the sweetness! Also, they have lots of Wiccan inspired events here. Never been, but if you are into that, this is the space to be. read more

The coziest little book shop! Located in the heart of Ann Arbor's downtown. If you're looking for tarot cards, crystals, earrings, necklaces or books this is the place for you! I stopped in to grab a look at the book selection which is beyond expectations that I had. I ended up staying upstairs in the tea room cozied up on a couch reading the book I purchased. The reason I'm writing this review is because of the barista. What a kind hearted individual! She was so helpful and knowledgeable on what kind of tea I was looking to enjoy whilst reading my book. After getting about halfway through I had asked her about the meditations and then we got into talking about holistic health in which she has her masters in! She had told me a lot about what educational route she had taken and how it works, this is one topic I've been trying to figure out how to go to school for because I'm very big on holistic health. Sarah, if you are reading this thank you so much for the delicious tea and the information, I'd like you to know how big of a impact you've made on my decision for my career! this is my favorite place in ann arbor to get tea. the tea is wonderful! try the 5 flower fairy blend. totally yummy. it's a cool place to browse around if you like books that are a little more "left wing, spiritual, veggie friendly", etc. than what you would find at borders. good selection of tarot cards and incense. read more

I've been in the bookstore a few times, and thought it was great. Until I went there recently and had more time to spend than usual. I looked closely at all the books available, and noticed books on many different types of religions and different points of view, but in the political section there was only one point of view. This one point of view is also promoted by events at the bookstore. I found it very disturbing, as I don't see the spiritual growth in one sided thinking and spiritual growth is what this store represents. Fortunately, I will be taking my business elsewhere, there are plenty of other stores that actually do promote spiritual growth but leave the politics out of it. read more

i feel stars is fair. normally this place is great, but last time they were out of a lot of things that a tea room should not be out of. no lemons, low on honey, and no drinking glasses near the pitcher. we just sat down and had to move (live music coming in), wish we were told before we sat. good things is the tea is great, you can buy accessories and you can buy a book if ya need too. staff is okay in politeness category but sometimes they seem too busy to tend to you. i do like this place but some fine tuning would earn more stars. read more

First off, I love books. I saw a bookstore, I had to go in. Second thing, the whole vibe of this store is not really my thing. I'm not into incense, or tea, or special candles, or meditation. That being said, they have a great selection of books on anything having to do with healthy living, including mental, physical, and spiritual health. I was impressed with and very interested in their selection of books about sustainable living (memoirs of people who've done it, guides for people wanting to farm, garden, recycle, etc.) as well as their selection of religion books. I'm also interested in books about religion--the Abrahamic faiths more than others--and they had a ton of books I wanted to read, but I held back and just picked up one. Obviously, the books are priced from the publisher but I hear they sometimes have coupons if you join the mailing list. I'm not local so I didn't, but it would be worth it if I lived in the area. The staff was really friendly and helpful and made me want to come back. read more

Great book store for learning other religions and the tea upstairs is great. The atmosphere is clam and cozy, I am a regular over there.

A special place with very lovely gifts and books that speak to the heart and spirit. There's a tea room upstairs with nice tea and food and live music on the weekends. A real gem in Ann Arbor. read more
