My husband and I learned about Pizzuti Studios when looking for a wedding photographer. We were…read moreactually referred to them by another photographer couple who was booked on our date. We liked what we saw on their website and went up to Lowell to meet with them in person. We liked Rich and Ashley immediately. They were very professional but also had great personalities. In addition to providing us with homemade cookies, they showed us examples of their past work and gave us a tin containing their product and pricing brochure along with examples of some of their products. We left very impressed and, after interviewing one other pair of photographers, decided to go with the Pizzutis. Prior to the wedding date we had an engagement session outdoors at our wedding venue (Mount Auburn Cemetery). Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate and we had to reschedule twice. The third attempt was on a chilly windy morning which made things difficult, but Rich and Ashley made the best of it. We ended up with some great photos, even if our cheeks were pink from the cold and my hair was blowing all over the place. This session helped us all learn about each other and also really helped prepare us for where to shoot the best photos on the actual wedding day. (I would recommend doing this with your photographers, regardless of if they're the Pizzutis.) We had a bit of a unique wedding, with a small ceremony one day and a huge party the next. Rich and Ashley were awesome throughout the whole thing. They managed to get all of the formal photos we wanted quickly, without frustrating our guests, and were wonderful with the young children. (Rich has a great way of getting people to do what he wants without seeming like a jerk about it.) They took tons of candid shots at our party and brought a laptop playing a slideshow of some of our wedding ceremony photos. Ashley even got into a moon bounce with my husband and me and got some really great photos of us. They had our photos up online about two weeks later, shortly after we returned from our honeymoon. The photos are amazing and there are literally hundreds of them. Overall, we're incredibly happy with their work and really enjoyed having them as part of our wedding.

Located near the center of city sits a cool place to check out if you are looking to bring alive your newest project. Just above a cool antique furniture store, they have studios areas and bays, as well as an outside in case you need a different look. They also have a make up area and a nice little lounging area. Very nifty. They also have a basement with an awesome dark and gritty feel, perfect for those edgier shoots and more. There is no limit to what you want to do. Boston Studio Photography can provide it. The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly and went the extra mile, especially when I had to reschedule several times. They were also really helpful setting up the lights. As far as the lights specifically, they were fairly easy to use and great for our particular shoot. They knew their stuff and were very accommodating. Renting this space for a couple of hours runs a few hundred dollars, but mind you, that includes lights and a decent hourly rate, depending on where you want to shoot. Its all incredibly reasonable, especially since the staff themselves are photographers as well. You feel at ease and the price of renting is definitely worth it. It was a great experience renting there and I foresee many projects of mine being shot there in the future. Boston Studio Photography is a great studio.

Paul and Younes are great managers, the space is wonderful -- providing natural light and the artificial light, access to a rooftop and urban building with fire escapes, standard studio and basement /exposed brick settings in which to shoot. The whole space is very accessible and very affordable. Younes and Paul have also offered group photoshoots from time to time, which have given both photographers and models a chance to shoot with a variety of people in the varied settings of the studio in different themes. When I booked the party I didn't know what to expect and it truly exceeded my expectations. It was the perfect start to our day and all of our pictures came out incredible. We had so much fun hanging out, having a couple of drinks and taking turns having our 20 minute individual sessions. I really can't say enough good things about Katherine and the talent she has for her craft. She made us feel so comfortable and at ease during each of our sessions and it showed in the pictures. The pictures were gorgeous and all of us were very pleased with them. We were so happy with the individual shots Katherine took but we were especially in love with the group shots she took of us at the end. They came out incredible! We had some inspiration pictures we wanted to replicate and Katherine was completely up for it and beyond accommodating. There's a great white brick wall outside across the street from the studio so we took some shots out there popping champagne and throwing confetti with the bride.
