On both occasions, they were exceptional. Steve and Ken handled my father's cremation and all of the arrangements surrounding his interment at Georgia National Cemetery. They coordinated everything for us, including scheduling the United States Marine Corps honors for my father, who had proudly served as a Marine. At a time when our family had more than enough to deal with, having people we could trust to quietly take care of all those details meant more than I can adequately express. Just as importantly, Steve and Ken treated my mother and our entire family with tremendous kindness, patience and sensitivity throughout the process. Nothing ever felt rushed, impersonal or simply like a business transaction. We felt genuinely cared for. We had experienced that same level of compassion and professionalism when Clark handled my uncle's cremation earlier this year, so when my father passed away, we already knew we were in good hands. No family looks forward to needing a funeral home, but when that time comes, having people who are competent, compassionate and trustworthy makes an enormous difference. But I do feel that it's important to share our experience, since it was helpful when we looked into a cremation service. They were recommended by our hospice nurse, and I must say they were phenomenal throughout the entire process. This is a very difficult time, but everyone at Leaf Cremation was very caring, thoughtful and professional. Brookle was our main contact and she stayed in constant contact with us. She answers any questions very quickly and explain the process to us. We went to see our son one last time before the actual cremation took place and we found the place to be peaceful and calming. After seeing him, we walked thru the cemetery next to their location, and it was also a very serene and tranquil walk.
