The owner and her teachers are amazing, they don't tolerate "mean girls" and my girls have always felt loved when they are dancing. The studio offers jazz, hip hop, ballet, tumbling, Company teams etc so my girls have been able to try everything. My oldest tried a year at Tanner Dance with a friend and the whole time complained and wanted to go back to Elite. My girls have learned flexibility, amazing technique, self esteem and the art of performing. We love all the teachers. Jill has been with my girls from the beginning, she is a fabulous teacher. Shannon has also been fantastic. It's in a great location, you can drop off your kids and run to the grocery store, wash your car or pop into Caputo's! The owner and staff have always been available to address any questions I have and go the extra mile to ensure my daughter is the best dancer she can be. I'm looking forward to another six years at Elite!

They were very unwilling to work with me and were shady about the process that withdrawing entails. It's unfortunate that they couldn't have more compassion for my situation and treat me like a person instead of a number. Very disappointed..

Unfortunately, not all girls are made of sugar and spice and bullying became such an issue that we brought it to the attention of the director. To my understanding though, these girls come from families that support the center, so the director decided to not address the issue. So after 10 years of ballet, this is how it ends. Its too bad people are so afraid of money that values get thrown out instead. Loved the school, hated the environment.

I love that they have an amazing homeschool program along with their after school classes. They also have private lessons and sewing classes! They make their own costumes and are great at teaching kids to sew through fun and professional projects. They did an absolutely FANTASTIC job - performing with all their heart on a black-floored stage with the setting sun blaring at them in triple digit heat!! What a show!! They all danced and tumbled and even SANG!! They had lovely voices and performed contemporary tunes as well as some classics! I especially loved their Abba tribute! What a phenomenal show! The company also has a theater in town where they put on all sorts of plays and shows - and even major productions like Les Misérables and High School Musical! They also offer all kinds of dance lessons, singing and acting too. They even have aerial silks classes - which even my adult son has done a few times - he loves it as a good workout - he says it kicks his butt haha! Anytime I come to town to visit my son, I always try to catch anything this company is putting on - the owners are awesome people - they work hard and are so talented! It's a great way for my kids to learn to follow instructors and practice dance. Every year they have a dance recital with all of the classes. It is several hours long which can be hard for young kids to sit through. But it is fun to see the kids show what they have learned and get comfortable in front of crowds. The Dance Academy shares a business with a preschool which two of my kids have attended. It has been a great way for the kids to prepare for kindergarten and meet new friends.

Some people like the African dance more which is more of an interactive class with live drums. The moves are more basic than Bollywood which is more choreography based. Love the instructors! The price is similar to other dance classes (10 punch card for $100, unlimited time!). The only thing I found difficult is finding parking since it's downtown. I had to pay $8 for a parking lot nearby. So not sure what the parking solution there is but I love the studio!

I was in town on a Saturday only so I took the…read moreAfrican class at 10:30a.m. The instructor was so patient and her class was wonderful, I think she said that she was a sub. The studio is beautiful and has a professional dance floor which feels great on my (older dance) body. The live percussionists made the experience complete. This was my first African class and I'm addicted! Class prices are so affordable compared to other adult offerings in the area. $12 drop in for a 1.5 hour class. Other studios charge as much as $17 - $20 for a single hour! The only criticism I have is that the class actually started 10 minutes late. There is no designated receptionist or administrator to take payments so it looks very stressful for the teachers to try and keep track of everything all at once, especially when students swipe their own card for class payments. The credit card machine didn't like some of our cards so I was forced to pay cash. The cash I had on me was for something else. Overall, good experience, I would go back but knowing that check in is a nightmare.
