He then would change the props and toss the others around like he was throwing garbage. He was short with our kids and with us as we tried to navigate taking photos. Once we were finished he went to the back to get the photos loaded. When he showed us the 10 or so on the screen, maybe 4 were actually decent.. super disappointed!! The packages were super expensive and limited. I went to pay and the machine asked to tip this man!!! I gave him 5% to be kind but it's now the next morning and I am still upset at how this man talked to us and treated me during this situation!! I have complained on the company site and hope to hear back soon. I will not be returning and this man should be fired. If you can't be kind go work somewhere else. You see, I'm a complete introvert who doesn't like to be in front of the camera. (In fact, I used to actively be BEHIND the camera.) He is not only professional but fun, which adds a bit of life to a process that can be absolutely terrifying to a shy person like me. :) I needed some nice photos to round out my design portfolio site, my LinkedIn profile, Twitter, Facebook, Amazon Author Page, and more. After checking out his website, I saw that he had a special going on where he was giving free complimentary headshots (so generous!). At the shoot, he insisted on no payment but I tipped him anyways to help cover his costs. I wanted to show him my gratitude for his services and talent. As for the shoot, we met at CSUN in a public location for the shoot after the initial phone consultation. He carried all of his equipment with him and was able to shoot at a few different locations around campus. Before the shoot, I felt very tense because of my shyness -- again, I'm not really used to being behind the camera. Despite that, he really brought out my personality and made me feel incredibly comfortable (which is kind of hard to do) and after the hour was up I left the shoot feeling confident and satisfied. At the end of the shoot he even gave me a sneak peek at the shots and asked me if I saw some shots that I wanted, or if I wanted to spend a little bit of time reshooting. That was a really nice gesture. A few days later, he emailed me with a link to preview my untouched photos online. I sifted through them, selected my favorites, and replied to his email. He was quick to respond and promised a 24-48 hour turnaround time on retouching my favorites. He delivered the high res images on time and they were better than I had ever hoped for. I've already updated a lot of my online profiles and have gotten tons of likes and compliments. Someone even thought my Twitter profile picture was a professional ad for a product, because of my pose! (http://twitter.com/amaravp) After loading up all of my new headshots, I feel SO much better marketing my book and my profiles. I finally have a really nice, presentable headshot photo that I can live with. :) I totally recommend Shant if you are looking for some nice, professional photos.
