This company had posted their product I bought On Pinterest. It did not state it was a costume hat. Their discription size was incorrect. The hat was extremely small and I could not use it. They do not take calls only email and so I wrote the owner. His reply was there was no refund you got what you paid for and seemed short and not about business but money (greed). I keeped trying to contact and the same reply NO REFUND. Do not buy from these people there not about customer service. They'll take your money and not want anything to do with you. If you're looking for a variety of costumes... if you're looking to outfit a theatrical troupe... if you're not on a budget... if you're looking for all kinds of things to accessorize a costume... come here. And I don't mean look at their website, I mean visit. I think for a place like this you have to visit and try items on in person. If you do have to watch a budget, you may wind up going to Spirit Halloween across the street, if it's open (seasonal). But you owe it to yourself to check this place out regardless. This place is the complete package. Don't let the entrance - a door on the back side of a strip mall - fool you. Inside is essentially a warehouse-sized costume supply store. There will be several people working at all times to assist you, dressing rooms, a rest room, etc. And by all means, ask questions and try things on first. So the owner of this business wrote a compelling rebuttal.The issue with his rebuttal is that he was absolutely dishonest and uninformed. I find it ironic that he couldn't reach out to me first and ask me what happened so we could have discussed it. He chose to fabricate elements of the story that are absolutely not true. He also chose to omit the egregious treatment by the woman at the computer who flat out refused to help me. Having a two day window is not "hours before the event." Ultimately - you can learn for yourself. You can go in and be treated like a leper and then write your own review. If they treat you well - write a review that contradicts me. I take no pleasure in writing negative reviews. I also take no pleasure in being treated the way his staff treated me. Find out for yourself if what i am saying is true. I would not recommend this shop if you are looking to buy a costume for Halloween. I found the sales associates to be extremely rude from the moment I walked into the store. They have a variety of costumes, but most of the items are overpriced. I was looking for a basic flapper costume to buy and the associate automatically pulled up the most overpriced costumes to buy or rent. After looking around the store by myself I later found a slightly more reasonably priced flapper costume. Also, please be aware that all sales are final for any items that you buy or rent. Even giving one star is too much! I rarely do reviews, however I am so upset with this store. Back Sept. 5, 2019 I left a dress to have dye by their seamstress . Spoke with her the next day and she said it wold be done within a week. Two wks go by, I call with little satisfaction and heard she will get on it...Fast forward i never heard when it was completed and to come pick up. I call last wk Oct.8 th or so and "oh yes it is done, however did not come out well". I go to pick up today, it is a mess (ralph lauren dress), no plastic bag to protect from the dust down in the location nor even pressed - very wrinkle. I stated my displease and what could we do about this $50 pre paid...answer "we told you it might not work". So much for customer service ! Think before you go!!! read more

I have rented numerous costumes from David and his wonderful staff for school, scout, and charity functions in Nashua over the years and have never been disappointed with the costume selections, rental prices or the customer service. David, the owner, is courteous, kind, and professional. Shirley, Pat and the rest of his staff always go above and beyond in trying help the customers. I am very glad to do business with them a few times a year and will continue to do so for years to come. At the risk of simply parroting the review from "Jim D." on here, he has it covered pretty well. There is an enormous rental selection in this place, not just of varying costumes, but also of sizes, so you're bound to find a great costume that will fit you. They also will perform alterations for a small fee, so you can be sure that your costume will look custom-fitted (within reason). The staff has been quite helpful and friendly every time I've been in there, so no issues there, either. As for the costumes themselves, the quality is top-notch. Legitimately, these are the most realistic and professional-looking costumes I've ever worn. The drawback is that you're paying an exceptional premium. You can expect to spend more per costume than you would renting a tuxedo for a wedding. In addition, the security deposit for each costume is quite high, so prepare for that, as well. I've also purchased a few smaller items from them outright, and those prices seem reasonable compared to other costume shops I've been into. Overall, I've had very good luck with this business and would recommend them, provided that you're okay with spending a significant amount of money. I've noticed in some other reviews that their return policy is exceedingly restrictive, although I haven't been in a position to find that out myself. Something to bear in mind, though. read more

I have a hard enough time even giving this retailer one star. The website says they pride themselves on customer service and christian values. However, my experience was different for me and my children. It is can be challenging to get your child to finally settle on the right costume and after combing through unorganized shelves will dusty costume bags, we finally settled on one. However, my 3 year old is smaller and I needed to make sure the 4-6 year old size would not be huge. The entire time that I am trying to figure this out the individual working in the store watched me without offering any assistance. So I eventually slipped the costume on over my 3 year old and it was the right size. We then go to purchase the costume and they tell me it was $139.00 for a child size costume! I myself then had to go find the matching child size costume that was priced at $59.99 (still high for a child size costume), but considered the 30% makes it reasonable. OH but no... because I fitted my child with it, I then couldnt get the 30% off. This would be understandable if there were more than two signs with it clearly stated (not in small print) and if the clerk watching me try to figure out the sizing actually helped and told me about it. Honestly, I have received better customer service in a party city or Spirit Halloween stores, which are better priced and they actually let you try the costumes on! It was unreal the attitude we received as well. When we pushed back on the original $139 price and then the fact that we couldnt get 30% off, the manager/owner took all of the products away from us and said "here we will call it even"! I am not sure how that worked in his favor because he lost his company over $150 in retail sales. In the end, I found better quality costumes at a much better price for both children on Amazon. Thanks but no thank you, my family and guaranteed my social circle will sadly not be shopping at this local store and giving back to our community especially when they dont follow their own customer service policy.... christian values were not present in my situation. I get my Halloween costumes from Costumes of Nashua every year and they never fail to amaze me! The staff is friendly and provides excellent customer service, making sure I have every accessory and detail down to makeup, etc. They really know their stuff, and ship anywhere. I ordered the Adult Male Pilot costume this August after examining it online and determining that it was the best pilot costume I could find. I was quite nervous about the price, but it looked of high quality so I thought it was worth the risk. Unfortunately I was wrong. It arrived quite quickly, which was great, but it was a huge disappointment. While the jacket looks great, the pants are awful. They are literally the exact same thin elastic band polyester black pants I've purchased for $10 with other Halloween costumes. So I pretty much paid $175 for a jacket. It's a great jacket, but not an amazing jacket. Since I was able to return it, I emailed Nashau about a return the very next day. After they advised me there would be a 30% restocking fee in addition to shipping fees, I opted for keeping the costume. It would have cost me $85 to return it. So while I have a nice pilot jacket, I would never recommend Costumes of Nashua. read more

Will NEVER do business with them! Ordered costumes and was not aware of deposit required. Was notified they were shipped and then tried to get deposit taken care of and was hung up on! Called back to talk to supervisor and was told I could not receive a refund even though the costumes were never sent. My credit card company is handling this issue for me. read more

I would give this place NO stars actually! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!! I am trying to do my best at slamming this place to get the word out. I placed an order for Halloween 2010 and spent well over $200 doing so, ordering special order costumes along with several accessories. First of all, the order didn't even come all together; it was split in two separate orders and I was told one would come by UPS and the other USPS. So. . .I waited. The one I was told would come by UPS, came by USPS. So I was wondering what happend to my other order, which just so happened to have a couple of needed accessories for my costume. I again waited. . . I called customer service and was told that, by their records, my order was in fact delivered to the USPS and that I should take up my problems with them. That was the end of that discussion. I went to my post office, and no box. So I called back, and they again told me it was delivered, as so was my other order (which came by a different carrier than I was told). And they would do nothing. Halloween came and went, and I (finally) TWO weeks later received my accessory for my costume by UPS (when I was told it was sitting in my post office all this time). I even got a UPS notification for it. So I sent an e-mail and waited. . . No response, so I again called, hoping to get a full refund for my accessory and all my troubles. NO such luck! The manager of the place didn't even care and said that all sales were final and that it wasn't their fault; like it was mine!! So no refund, no apology, no nothing! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! Hopefully you will have read this and learned something. I will do my best to smash Costumes of Nashua and have no one ever order from them again!! read more

I would give them less than one star if possible. I am in a Medieval wedding which the bride choose this business for the bridesmaid dresses. Service was actually wonderful and a great experience at first. Then my credit card was charged a month and a half earlier than the date they confirmed with me (when the rental ships). Since they had to make additional dresses for this event, I accepted it and moved on. Then comes time for the dresses to ship. I receive tracking information but am notified that there was an error in the $200 security deposit (which who actually CHARGES the security fee, most companies hold the number and then charge when necessary) which my card did not go through. I corrected said error, called back to Nashua and asked them to rerun and please to let me know if they had any issues. I then FOLLOWED UP AGAIN the next business day and was assured that everything went through and the dress was in the mail. When I checked today, the tracking information still indicated the dress had not been shipped. I called and they told me they didn't know how to charge the security deposit which is why the dress hadn't shipped. Nevermind the fact that I was told the dress was shipped and all was well, apparently the expedited shipping which I now need in order to have the dress in time for the event is MY RESPONSIBILITY. DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING THEY SAY! Now the rentals are mailed they don't care about customer satisfaction or doing what is right (this dress shipping late was NOT my fault nor was there any attempt made to try to contact me to get the dress shipped. If I hadn't followed up, my girlfriend would be without a bridesmaid). I shudder to think that the security deposit is probably something I'll never see when I see the way this business is run. read more
